ANW's Meaningful Monday's

How do you fight your battles?

Battles are bloody, even tragic; yet sometimes necessary to protect and defend. In order for David to defend his country and defeat the enemy, Goliath (see 1 Samuel 17), God "[trained his] hands for war" (Psalm 144:1). So, if you have a battle to fight, might you fight them by "[trusting] in the name of the Lord our God" (20:7) and not by "the deadly sword" (144:10). #Indebted & #Honored

Thank you to all who are serving, and have served and sacrificed for this great Nation.

ANW's Savory Sunday's

What kind of soldier are you?

Each day comes with its share of battles; and in order to be prepared to fight them, like a soldier, is to "put on the full armor of God" (Ephesians 6:13), which is "the belt of truth" (6:14), "feet fitted with...readiness...the gospel of peace" (6:15), a "shield of faith" (6:16), and "a sword of the Spirit...the word of God" (6:17). Such armor will protect you every time you are on the battlefield; and when you notice fellow soldiers struggling to survive, might you "be awake and sober" (1 Thessalonians 5:6) and "encourage the disheartened, help the weak, and be patient with everyone" (5:14). #AWarriorOfGod #LeaveNoManBehind

ANW's Soulful Saturday's

How is faith seen?

"Faith is confidence in what [you] hope for and assurance about what [you] do not see" (Hebrews 11:1); and having such a faith was Noah and Abraham. Both pleased God, because they trusted him. Noah, "[built] an ark to save his family" (11:7); and Abraham, "not [knowing] where he was going" (11:8), still followed God. So, if you want a life filled with grace, certainty, and salvation, might you, too, put your faith in Him and see. #TakeALeap

ANW's Fruitful Friday

How lovely is the truth?

No matter how difficult the truth may be, a lie is even worse. The difference is that truth is love filled with wisdom; and lies are roadblocks filled with "signs and wonders" (2 Thessalonians 2:9) that mislead "those who are perishing" (2:10), because "they [refuse] to love the truth" (2:10). So, may you choose to "love the truth" (2:10) and wear it "with beauty and glory" (Proverbs 4:9), because the truth "will protect" and "watch over you" (4:6); lies will not, as they defraud, delude, and double-cross. #AcceptTheTruth & #LoveIt

ANW's Wisdom Wednesday's

What sacrifice has a huge return on its investment?

A life for a new life, possibly. Out of love, God chose to take his son's; and He asks you to do the same by "[taking] up [your] cross and [following him]" (Matthew 16:24). And, if you do, you will "lose" yours, like Jesus, only to "find it" (16:25). So, if you are willing to make such a sacrifice, you will live the rest of your life filled with joy, truth, wisdom, strength, courage, confidence, patience, happiness, integrity, possibilities, care, compassion, goodness, kindness, forgiveness, focus, presence, faith, hope, and so much more. #LosingToLive #AnInvestmentForLife

ANW's Wisdom Wednesday's

How do you treat a foreigner?

You do not have to be a foreigner to be one, because "you [yourself] know how it feels to be [one]" (Exodus 23:9); and having experienced this, you are commanded by "the LORD your God" (Leviticus 19:10) to "not oppress a foreigner" (Exodus 23:9), but to treat them "as your native-born" and "love them as yourself" (Leviticus 19:34). So, might you always love and be good to all foreigners, yourself included. #AWelcomingHeartAndHome

ANW's Takeaway Tuesday's

How do you mend your wounds?

Life is a battlefield that can and will cut and burn, fracture and paralyze, and also traumatize you. Yet, at the same time, it will also mold and make you stronger and wiser with every battle. As you tend to the battle wounds, He will be right there with you "[taking] hold of your right hand" (Isaiah 41:13) and telling you to "not fear, for [He is] with you" (41:10). So, might you seek The One who also understands what it is to be wounded (see Genesis 6:6 NLT & Isaiah 53:3 NLT) and let Him help you heal and recover. #Share & #BeShaped

ANW's Meaningful Monday's

Why help and love all?

"Under the sun" (Ecclesiastes 4:1) lives an array of people, those who "[chase] after the wind" (1:14) and those who "[help] the other up" (4:10). Those that "help the other up" (4:10) know that "two are better than one" (4:9), because "two can defend themselves" (4:12) and "have a good return for their labor" (4:9). So, instead of ignoring the wind chasers, might you still "love your neighbor as yourself" (Leviticus 19:18) and "pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up" (Ecclesiastes 4:10). #BuildingCommunity #StrengthInNumbers

ANW's Savory Sunday's

How plentiful is your life?

The world is filled with abundance; and it is yours to use and enjoy. Providing you with the fruits of his labor and love is The Lord, as he offers "seed-bearing plants and trees...that bear fruit" (Genesis 1:11), "grace" (1 Timothy 1:14), and much more. So, while you are here, may "[your] cup runneth over" (Psalm 23:5). #AbundantlyWealthy

ANW's Soulful Saturday's

What keeps you from breaking down?

In order for your vehicle to run well and keep from breaking down, it needs proper maintenance; and, if you allow "[His] thoughts" and "[His] ways" (Isaiah 55:6-8 NKJV) to take the place of yours "he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:6). So, may your vehicle always be filled with premium oil, trust (see Proverbs 3:5, 22:19), fear (see 3:7, 1:7, 14:16), and obedience (see 3:6, 8:32-33), so you can drive safely and securely, even with the bumps and potholes along the way.
