ANW's Thoughtful Thursday's
ANW’s Thoughtful Thursday’s
What gifts will you give away?
Nursing is “in the midst of a very severe trial” (2 Corinthians 8:2); and I want to extend a gift.
I am offering the Nursing profession, annually, half of my book sales, as well as my Recycled, Repurposed, and Renewed, #RRR, products, to help with the longstanding, debilitating, and deadly crisis, Incivility.
I offer this because this is very near and dear to me, as I was a victim of this devastation; and have been taught, by Him, that “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). As a Clinical Nurse, and long time Nurse Educator, my career and professional life, along with my personal life, was almost taken away from me, because, for many years, I tried and tried and tried to make the work environment better, within the educational realm, in several Nursing programs, and each one let me and many other amazing Nursing Instructors, as well as students down. The treatment was very ugly and unkind; and when trying to improve the environment, the treatment got worse, not better; and eventually, my heart got tired and broke, Takosubo Cardiomyopathy aka “Broken Heart Syndrome”, one day in my office.
So, if this gift can safe a life, mend a heart, and change the nursing culture and landscape, then, it will be worth it. Nursing is essential and amazing. Please help me save and make the profession better so there are still nurses available when we need them. #AHeartfeltGift

ANW's Wisdom Wednesday's
How willing are you to take a chance on love?
If you are willing to take the risk, love gives more than it takes, as the indescribable joy that love brings outweighs the temporary tears, as "weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning" (Psalm 30:5). So, might you consider letting yourself love and see how much more happy and joyful your life will be; because if you don't, you will miss out and lose even more. #NoRiskNoLove

ANW's Takeaway Tuesday's
What kind of rock do you lean on?
In order to withstand life's disappointments, hardships, and uncertainties is to have a rock solid faith; and wanting to give you one is the "LORD [your] Maker" (Psalm 95:6). He knows that life will be difficult, but he also wants you to know that he can be your "Rock" (95:1), a rock that is filled with love, breath, joy, happiness, strength, blessings, honesty, integrity, compassion, comfort, goodness, forgiveness, confidence, trust, possibilities, peace, calm, care, praise, encouragement, courage, safety, help, support, kindness, patience, knowledge, wisdom, perseverance, focus, presence, hope, accountability, responsibility, self-reflection, loyalty, self-worth, humility, grief, change, and transparency. So, if you want an unmovable and unshakeable faith, might you become one of the "people of his pasture, the flock under his care" (95:7). #GodRocks

ANW's Meaningful Monday's
What keeps you in pursuit and from losing?
Winners are those who "run in such a way as to get the prize" (1Corinthians 9:24) and "[strain] toward what is ahead" (Philippians 3:13); and continue to work, strive, and aspire to do more and become better with each attempt. So, if you continue to work as a winner, you will, one day arrive; but for now, while you are here on earth, might you always keep working and run "the race marked out for [you]" (Hebrews 12:1) "with perseverance" (12:1), and your other winning attributes. #NeverQuit #NeverGetComplacent #NeverTakeAnythingForGranted &

How considerate and thoughtful are you?
The world is filled with way more me’s than we’s; and among the many me’s was King Hezekiah. Hezekiah was more concerned about himself than he was for his people (see 2 Kings 20:17-18). So, might you consider the we instead of me approach, like God does, because how you treat others will reflect and affect how you are perceived, received, and relieved. #WeAboveMe❤️

ANW’s Soulful Saturday’s
How willing are you to accept advice?
Instead of listening to wise and sound advice, many run from or ignore it; and wanting to give you life‘s best is the Lord, as “[His] ways [are] higher than your ways” (Isaiah 55:9). So, if you decide to listen to anyone, might you “come to [Him and] listen, [so] that you may live” (55:3). #CallHim #BestAdviceEver #HasYourBestInterests #RRRChallengeYourself

ANW's Fruitful Friday's
What keeps you in the abyss?
Misery, worry, and fear will "swallow" (Psalm 69:15) you up and keep you submerged "in the miry depths" (69:2), just like the psalmist who was "overwhelmed by enemies" (69:4), "shame" (69:7), and "[estrangement] from his own family" (69:8). So, even when you are "[engulfed]" by "floodwaters" (69:15), there is one person who can "[lift you] out of the depths" (30:1) and save you. Might you ask Him to reach down and pull you up. #Surface & #CatchYourBreath

How do you become stronger?
There are power sources everywhere; and your character is one of them. When you are faithful, truthful, and trustworthy, like Christ, you "receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you" (Acts 1:8). So, if you wish to strengthen and maximize your energy source, might you check all of your circuits to make sure they are flowing and not interrupted. #ThePowerOfCharacter #HighVoltage

ANW's Wisdom Wednesday's
How courageous are you?
To speak up, tell the truth, and remove yourself from toxicity takes immense courage. Unashamed of sharing "the testimony about our Lord" (2 Timothy 1:8) was Paul. He was willing to "[suffer] for the gospel" (1:8), because he knew that the Lord would protect and empower him (see 1:7).
So, may you always be willing to have the courage to suffer for "whatever is true...noble...right...pure...lovely..admirable-anything that is excellent or praiseworthy (see Philippians 4:8). For whatever the "suffering" (2 Timothy 1:8), He will be right by your side and always have your back. #BeCourageous & #HaveNoWorryOrFear

ANW's Takeaway Tuesday's
What amazes you?
There is much to marvel; and when you think that what you have seen or experienced cannot get any better, something or someone else comes along and takes it place. Hundreds of years, after King Solomon, "someone greater" (Luke 11:31 NLT) came in to the world. While here, “all spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips” (4:22), along with being "completely astonished" (Mark 5:42) and "marveling at all that [He] did" (Luke 9:43). So, if you truly want to be awe-struck, might you consider getting to know Jesus, and watch and experience the good works that He continues to perform on a daily basis. #NeverCeasesToAmaze
