ANW's Takeaway Tuesday
How do you help keep your flock from going astray?
Flocks have a tendency to scatter, even lost, when neglected, unsupported, isolated, or injured; and "destroying and scattering [its] sheep" (Jeremiah 23:1), at an alarming rate, is Nursing.
Wanting to help "gather" and "bring them back to their pasture, where they will be fruitful and increase in number" (23:3), is both myself and the Lord. He and I want to rescue and restore the flock so they can tend to the masses that need their care.
So, if you need rescued, please reach out. I did, and here I am, one of the "remnant of [his] flock" (23:3), trying to help fellow sheep find their strength, courage, and faith. #Recognizing #Rebuilding & #RestoringNursing #WithKindness #Care & #Compassion

ANW's Meaningful Monday's
What keeps a garden growing?
Gardens, like culture, take a lot of work; and when not tended to consistently or as needed, they can quickly get out of control and become overrun with weeds, thorns, and, eventually, pests and diseases that will ruin them. And, in order to prevent a garden from dying, we are encouraged to "throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles" (Hebrews 12:1).
Desperately needing to be weeded, pruned, and sprayed, so that it can get rid of the pests, rodents, and diseases that are being spread throughout its profession and destroying its gardens, is Nursing.
So, if your garden or another is struggling to thrive and survive, might you consider getting dirty and staying dirty so that you can keep it flourishing and fruitful. #FeedAndWaterIt #WithLove #Care #Support & #Kindness & #WatchItGrow

ANW's Savory Sunday's
Where do you get your reinforcements?
Sometimes you need reinforcements to help you fight battles against the "powerful enemy" (Psalm 18:17), because yourself alone is not always enough.
As much as I tried, and David with Saul, to overcome the "powerful enemy" (18:17), neither of us could not do it alone; and needed reinforcements to keep ourselves from succumbing to the "deep waters" (18:16). So, we each turned to God for help; and when we did, He became our "rock", "fortress", "deliverer", "strength", "buckler", "horn of salvation", "high tower", and "stronghold" (18:2), and has slain our worries, anxieties, and fears, and replaced them with strength, perseverance, focus, love, goodness, kindness that has protected and sustained us.
So, if you are in need of rescue or support, you know where you can go to get reinforcements.

ANW’s Soulful Saturday
What can you expect?
Expectations are different for everyone; and depending on what they are and whom they involve determines whether they get met.
Expecting to be treated with kindness and respect, among colleagues, quickly turned in to disappointment and discontent, until I gave it to God. Since having done so, He has shown me that if I “wait silently for [him] alone” (Psalm 62:5) then I can expect him to help, even rescue me, which he has.
So, if you have expectations, and they are not being met, might you, too, put your faith and trust in Him so he can meet every one of them. #RelyOnHim & #ExpectIt

ANW's Fruitful Friday's
What keeps you well fed?
It takes very little to live well, yet many still want more and "store up...treasures on earth" (Matthew 6:19). If you take a moment to "look at the birds of the air; [and see] that they do not sow or reap or store away in barns" (6:26), you know that "your heavenly Father feeds them" (6:26).
So, instead of "[worrying] about your life, what you eat or drink" (6:25), might you let Him feed you (see 6:26); and take whatever "treasures" (6:19) you may have, and give "in secret" (6:4) "instead of [storing them] up for [yourself]" (6:19).

ANW's Thoughtful Thursday's
How equitable is your playing field?
Not all playing fields are equal, especially when exceptions and favors are made. But when they are, like God's, it makes all the difference in the world. God has identified, from the get go, that "there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for...all [are] one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28).
Still struggling to play equitably is Nursing; and because of this, they are losing its team players, Nurses, at a rapid rate, due to allowing Team Incivility to stick around, which is causing disruption on the playing field, such as infighting, joy stealing, and injuries.
So, if you want to be part of a team that lifts up, supports, and holds each other accountable, then might you team up with God and see how He can help you beat Team Incivility. #NursesUnited

ANW's Wisdom Wednesday's
What courtesy(s) do you extend to others?
Hard to come by, these days, are thank you's, excuse me, I'm sorry, or please, better known as common courtesy's; and reminding each one of us “to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people” (Titus 3:2 ESV) is Paul.
Days can be difficult, trying, and exhausting, but there is no excuse to be inconsiderate or unkind to others. Yet, this behavior is tolerated in many settings and creates toxic environments. Within Nursing Academia, I experienced toxicity, among fellow colleagues and administration. For years, within this setting, incivility, had been tolerated and still is; and as a result, many wonderful Nurses have either left the profession, encountered life-threatening health issues preventing them from working, or, sadly, have stayed and continue to tolerate the disrespect.
For me, I left, forced by a heart attack, within my office; and despite it all, I have never stopped being kind or courteous. Instead, I have learned to love more, remain kind, be ever so grateful, and continue to fight for kindness. So, may you, too, no matter the interaction, continue to be "peaceable and considerate" (3:2 NIV), and see what becomes of your civility.

With whom do you place your trust?
Expectations come with promises; and when broken, so goes the trust and respect. Fortunately, not everyone breaks their promises. Knowing Him all of my life, but really getting to know him better over these last 7 years, I have seen what has done for both me and my family. He has NEVER let me down and ALWAYS knows what I need when I need it, as "[His] ways [are] higher than [my] ways and [his] thoughts than [my] thoughts" (Isaiah 55:9). So, if you would like to know someone that you can trust, wholeheartedly, might you "call on him" (55:6) and He will deliver every time. #7000AndCounting

How are you being transformed?
"The Spirit", within you, allows you to "[be] transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory" (2 Corinthians 3:18), if you want it to. Because of letting "the Spirit" (3:18) work within me, I, see, on a daily basis, how it continues to transform my life and work, A Nurse Warrior Enterprises, LLC., in an effort to help and work with like-minded others trying to do the same. So, if you, too, want to be transformed, might you do so "through the ministry of the Spirit" (3:7) and see the glorious changes that take place in your life and the lives of others. #Recycle #Repurpose & #RenewYourself

ANW's Savory Sunday's
How do you remain hopeful?
Hope is never lost, even when circumstances or situations seem bleak.
Over the course of many years, within Nursing Academia, I remained hopeful, despite suffering nonstop hits by sabotagers, abusers of power, mockers, elitists, patronizers, rule breakers, threateners, backstabbers, diminishes, fault-finders, and much more, until they put me in the hospital with a broken heart.
As I recovered, I never gave up hope, along with "assuming good will"; and to this day, still remain hopeful in my pursuit to advocate for civility within Nursing and life, because He "made [me]" and has never or will ever "forget [me]" (Isaiah 44:21). So, if you hope is wavering, might you look to Him for help; and when He does, "sing for joy" (44:23).
