ANW's Soulful Saturday's
What has been placed within you? & How do you use it?
To have a built in "advocate" and "Spirit of truth" (John 14:16-17), at all times, is a gift; and to never unwrap it would be regretful. For there is much to be gained and given away.
This, gift, support and truth, has given me
the ability to heal, find my breath again, love more, forgive, listen more, get stronger, become more patient, feel safe again, pray more, remain present, still believe, and much more. With these gifts, I, too, want give what I have gained.
So, if you have yet to take advantage of the Spirit that has been placed within you, and would like to "see what great love the Father has lavished on [you]" (1 John 3:1), might you open it up and see what it is like to be a "[child] of God" (3:1). #OpenYourGift

How do you keep the lions away?
There is always an "enemy" "[prowling] around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour" (1 Peter 5:8). Instead of being torn to shreds or eaten "resist" (5:9).
I, finally, after being mangled for many years, cried out to Him, on the way to work, and asked Him to pull me out of the Lion's Den. Now, seven years, removed from the Den, He has made me even stronger, firmer, and more steadfast (see 5:10) and continues to do so with each day.
So, if you, too, need to get out of the Lion's Den so you can become "sober-minded and alert", might you "submit [yourself]...to God" (James 4:7 NIV). For when you do, the enemy "will flee from you" (4:7)" and "he will come near to you" (4:8). #Resist & #StandFirm & #Faithful

ANW's Thoughtful Thursday's
What needs manipulated, realigned, and relieved?
The heart, too, from time to time, needs adjusting; and when properly aligned, it is very giving. But, if misaligned, it hoards.
Over the last seven years, I have struggled to regain my heart's posture. I, regrettably, hoarded my love, because of the damage, Incivility, that was caused. Thankfully, because of God's generous heart, I am not hoarding it anymore, instead, I am giving generously to the hurters and the hurt. My heart's posture is, once again, aligned and upright.
So, if you, too, need an adjustment, might you ask Him, like I did, to realign your heart so you can "do good" and "share with others" (Hebrews 13:16). Your heart and health will thank you for the adjustment. #PopIt #CrackIt & #StandTaller

ANW's Wisdom Wednesday's
How ready are you?
Meaningful work is hard; and when layered with constant curves, cutters, breakers, and changeups, it gets even harder. yet, regardless of the pitches, it is key to keep working and living by "faith" and "not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7), just like Paul did doing God's work (see Philippians 1:23-24).
I, too, have to be reminded to keep doing so, especially when I go for days, weeks, or months, without a hit, because Incivility keeps striking out Nurses, instead of taking the time to develop and support its players and team.
So, being the dedicated and loyal team member that I am, I am going to keep going to the plate and take my hacks; and if I strike out, I know, with confidence, that I am winning, because it is my "goal to please [Christ]" (2 Corinthians 5:9). For when you play on His team, you can always count on a W. #KeepSwinging & #KnockItOutOfThePark #AlwaysReady

ANW's Takeaway Tuesday's
How sensible are you?
Some decisions require thinking and planning; and those who are "prudent give thought to their steps" (Proverbs 14:15), while those who do not are considered "fools" as they "believe anything" (14:15).
Helping me to continue to live prudently, while trying to help advocate for better environments, has been reliance on God's daily "wisdom" (14:8), as opposed to being a "fool" (14:15) to the fact that incivility is not a problem that Nursing is facing.
So, if you would like the foresight to know better, see better, and want better for yourself and others, then might you, too, seek the "fountain of life" (14:27), as He will provide you "with knowledge" (14:18) that will keep you from the "snares of death" (14:27). #NoFoolingAround

How healthy is your heart?
It takes very little to damage your heart, no matter how well you take care of yourself. Over time, and if neglected, you may acquire heart conditions, such as hardening, narrowing, or calcification of the arteries, maybe even a heart transplant. So, if you want to avoid any kind of heart surgery, you might ask for "a new heart" so He can "put a new spirit in you" (Ezekiel 36:26); and as soon as you do, the signs and symptoms will slowly resolve and leave your heart beating stronger and better than ever before, because it will now freely with love and kindness. #RoutineMaintenance

ANW's Savory Sunday's
How far can you spread your LOVE and what can it accomplish?
LOVE resonates when it is shared; and when it does, it will echo among all nations, just like it did during Pentecost, when many gathered together, from all over, to hear Peter "[address] the crowd" (Acts 2:14) about "the wonders of God" (Acts 2:11).
I, too, am trying to do the same. Still after seven years of pain, processing, struggling, healing, and praying "for those who [have] hurt me" and "cursed me" (Luke 6:27-28 NLT), I am still fighting and giving back, both book and product, to "do good those who [hate me]" (6:27-28) aka do not like to be held accountable or responsible, with LOVE.
So, if you have LOVE to give and are "willing to listen" (6:27-28), please join me to help keep the heartbeat of healthcare, Nurses, alive and well, and do what it is intended to do-LOVE and help people.
Nursing Diagnosis (Dx): Nursing Incivility
Related To (R/T): toxic work environments
As Evidenced By (AEB): burnout, attrition, health issues, mistakes, under staffing, lack of help and support, no policy, and much more
Short & Long-Term Goals: DAILY Gratitude, Love, Breath, Music, Time, Strength, Blessings, Emotions, Passion, Forgiveness, Confidence, Kindness, Goodness, Compassion, Care, Help and Support, Joy and Happiness, Listening, Healing, Honesty and Integrity, Comfort, Trust and Belief, Possibilities, Peace, Calm, Courage, no Fear, Choices, Praise and Encouragement, Safety, Focus and Presence, Accountability and Responsibility, Loyalty, Self-Reflection, Change, Humility, Transparency, Self-worth, Exercise and Activity, Faith and Hope, no Worry, Prayer, Knowledge and Wisdom, Patience, Perseverance, and Grief

How does meaningful change happen?
Dying a slow and painful death is the Nursing Profession, where millions of Nurses are continuing to be stricken by overwhelming and unhealthy working conditions. And, in order to keep this profession from becoming extinct, help and change is desperately needed. In an effort to stop the bleeding, I kindly, boldly, and courageously ask each and every nurse to come to the table to eat bread and drink from the same cup (see 1 Corinthians 11:26), just like Jesus did with his disciples right before He died. So, if you care enough about your profession, your colleagues, yourself, and your patients, might you take the time to eat together, because it, too, could be your Last Supper.

What do you do with your pain?
Pain hurts, but it can also be helpful; and if you take advantage of its ills, and not squander them, you can make great strides, maybe a difference. For me, over these last seven years, I have used my pain to continue to fight for a culture of kindness, by writing a book and creating a business built on love, kindness, and goodness, along with offering to help to a profession in crisis, Nursing. So, might you remember that He does see your "misery", and is "concerned about [your] suffering" (Exodus 3:7); and when he hears you "cry", he will "rescue" you (3:8-9). #HarnessIt #ChannelIt & #UseItForGood
