ANW's Fruitful Friday's

What metrics matter?

Rarely taken in to consideration, and one of, if not, the most reliable and accurate measurement of a person are their intangibles, who they are. Seeing and noting Jesus's life and work was John the Baptist; and everything that he experienced with Jesus, John bore witness that "[He] is the Messiah, the Son of God" (John 20:31). So, if you want a true measurement of a person, might you get to know them; because they are more than just numbers. #RealMetrics

ANW's Thoughtful Thursday's

How intelligent are you?

To be smart is to always be humble; and being reminded to remain so, The Lord placed a "thorn in [his] flesh" (2 Corinthians 12:7), reminding Paul that [His] grace is sufficient...[and His] power is made perfect in weakness" (12:9). So, instead of trying to be the smartest person in the room, might you consider humbling yourself and "boast all the more gladly about [your] weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on [you]" (12:9). #IntellectualHumility #TrueBrilliance

ANW's Wisdom Wednesday's

How do you fight your battles?

No battle ever needs to be fought alone. You have backing any time you need it; and when you do, you just "spread [a letter] out before the LORD" (2 Kings 19:4) and "present your requests to [Him]" (Philippians 4:6), just like King Hezekiah did (see 2 Kings 19:15, 19, 20, 35), and He will help you with whatever you need him to do. For no battle, struggle, or concern is ever too big or small for God.

ANW's Takeaway Tuesday's

How well do you treat people?

To treat others fairly and well is to help not hurt them; and when you do, you open the door to a life filled with goodness. So, no matter the person, "[the poor]", " foreigner", or "stranger" (Leviticus 25:35), may you always do right by them.

ANW's Meaningful Monday's

How well vested are you?

The investments that you make determine your wealth. When you invest in "possessions", like the rich man who "yielded an abundant harvest" (Luke 12:15) and built "bigger ones...[to] store [his] surplus grain" (12:18), you invest poorly, as there is little, if any, value investing in "possessions". But, if you share your wealth with people, you invest well and become extremely wealthy. So, may you invest wisely and live a rich life with no regrets.

ANW's Savory Sunday's

What do you do with your disappointments?

You can do everything right and still be disappointed. Having high expectations only to be disappointed by her four sons was Leah (see Genesis 34:24-30, 37:17-28; Chapter 38); and taking her disappoints and redeeming them was The Lord. So, when disappointments happen, may you still continue to "praise the LORD" (29:35); for He will use your disappointments as catalysts for growth and learning.

ANW's Soulful Saturday's

What builds your faith?

Your trials will put you in a boxing ring and fight you and your faith; and through these matches, you will be put to the test, through suffering and grief, and hopefully, with each one, experience "an inexpressible and glorious joy" (1 Peter 1:8); and, eventually, "salvation of your [soul]" (1:9). So, with every fight, may you let each one of them continue to strengthen your faith. #FaithfullyFight

ANW's Fruitful Friday

What surprises you?

Nothing is off the table, when it comes to being surprised; and taken by surprise was Mary Magdalene, after being approached by an unrecognizable person, until hearing her name. There stood Jesus,"raised imperishable" (1 Corinthians 15:42), after just having been wounded, battered, and persecuted, a few days before. So, no matter the surprise, may you always remember that there will be nothing that ever comes close to surprising you as Jesus's resurrection, a lovely one that saved your life and mine. #TheGreatestSurpriseOfAll

ANW's Thoughtful Thursday's

How rich is your soil?

The soil, aka the environment, is much like your faith. When you are "rooted and established in love" (Ephesians 3:17-18), you know when it is time to uproot and transplant yourself, when the soil becomes poor, degraded, and unhealthy, and go find yourself a fertile one that promotes and supports growth and development. So, if the soil has become infertile, might you look for one that is productive and rich in nutrients. #Transplant & #Reroot

ANW's Wisdom Wednesday's

How willing are you to share your table?

Extending a place at the table is opening your heart and home, a kindness that offers warmth and welcome. Always offering a spot, even "the blind and [the] lame" (2 Samuel 5:8) aka enemies, to "eat at [his] table" (9:7) is God. So, when it comes to breaking bread aka showing and sharing your kindness, may you always do so with "love", "genuine affection", "and [taking] delight in honoring [one] other" (Romans 12:10 NLT).
