ANW's Thoughtful Thursday's

What sacrifice(s) are you willing to make?

There is sacrifice in anything worth doing or having; and willing to sacrifice his life for you and me is Jesus. And, if you, too, are willing to sacrifice, "[Your] Father will honor the one who serves [him]" (John 12:26). So, as you consider what sacrifices you are willing to make, might you remember that "unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds" (12:24). #PlantManySeeds

ANW's Wisdom Wednesday's

How well do you control your anger?

Reacting in anger, to anything, only makes you look foolish; and you, alone, can control this. So, whenever provoked, might you consider hearing "the rebuke of a wise person" (Ecclesiastes 7:5) and "let the peace of Christ rule in your [heart]" (Colossians 3:15), instead of being the fool who allows anger to reside (see Ecclesiastes 7:9). #WiseRise & #FoolsFall

ANW's Takeaway Tuesday's

What keeps you committed?

It can be very difficult to stay the course, especially when life, circumstance, and situations get hard and uncomfortable. Despite losing her family, Ruth committed herself to Naomi, her mother-in-law. She said "where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay" (Ruth 1:16), and did. So, when the going gets tough, instead of throwing it all away, might you remember that nothing is ever easy and if anything means something to you, like family meant to Naomi, remain steadfast and see it through. #Persevere & #PushThrough

ANW's Meaningful Monday's

How willing are you to help another?

Everyone has needs to be met, and some that need help being met. Encouraging you to share your resources is Paul, as he "[longed] to see [believers] so that [He could] impart to [them] some spiritual gift to make [them] strong-that is, that [he and them] may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith" (Romans 1:11-12), thereby helping one another. So, be it a swap or trade, might you consider lending a helping hand and see how you can help one another meet both your needs. #Aid & #Assist & #CreateLifeLongPartnerships

ANW's Savory Sunday's

What, other than words, can speak to you?

Words are not sole communicators. Trying to make Jesus quiet the crowds shouting and praising "blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!" (Luke 19:38) were the Pharisee's; and in response to their demand, Jesus said that "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out" (19:40). Be it a stone, silence, or four walls, they speak too. So, if you need to hear something besides words, might you take notice of the other voices that surround you and let them speak. #LookAround & #See & #HearThemAll

ANW's Soulful Saturday's

Where can you go to get help?

Help is available to you at all times, you just have to ask "the Spirit of truth", the one who "lives with you and will be in you" (John 14:17); and when you access Him, he "will teach you all things and will remind you of everything [he says] to you" (14:26). So, if you struggle to find good and reliable help, might you look from within and just ask Him for whatever help that you need. #ReadilyAvailable & #WillingToHelp

ANW's Fruitful Friday's

What does losing those you love teach you?

Nothing can prepare you for losing someone you love, just like Elisha's love for his mentor Elijah. One day, out of the blue, "as Elijah and Elisha were walking and talking, a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared, separating them, and Elijah was taken up to heaven in a whirlwind" (2 Kings 2:11). So, may you cherish every moment you have with those you love, as they can be gone in a heartbeat. #LifeIsBrief #NeverTakeAnythingForGranted

ANW's Thoughtful Thursday's

How supported are you?

Success or getting somewhere is not a solo act, as there is a support system working in the background at all times. Helping Paul to be able to minister was a couple who "risked their lives" (Romans 16:4) for him. So, if you are blessed with a supportive network, may you always remember to acknowledge and give thanks to those who have helped and sacrificed along the way; and "in humility value others above yourself, not looking to your own interests but...to the interests of others" (Philippians 2:3-4). #NeverForget & #AlwaysAcknowledge

ANW's Wisdom Wednesday's

ANW's Wisdom Wednesday's

How do you seek forgiveness?

Mistakes happen; and some can be harder to forgive than others. Fortunately, if no one else forgives you, He will and does; but, first He asks that you "confess your sins" (1 John 1:9); and when you do, He "blots out your transgressions, for [his] own sake, and remembers your sins no more" (Isaiah 43:25). So, if you do not want to "dwell on the past" (Isaiah 43:18) and move forward with a clean slate, might you ask Him. #ForgivesAndForgets

ANW's Takeaway Tuesday's

ANW's Takeaway Tuesday's

How patient are you with yourself and others?

It is very easy to become impatient with ourselves and others, especially when something does not go the way that we intended it to. Even so, you are encouraged to "make every effort" (Ephesians 4:3) to "be completely humble and gentle; [and to] be patient, bearing with one another in love" (4:2). So, when your patience is tried, might you make every effort to remain calm, cool, and collected, just as "The Lord...is patient with you" (2 Peter 3:9). #BeUnderstanding #ShowCompassion & #GiveGrace
