Talking of Google for education... I'm just trying pretty hard to "educate" my course about the great Google tools. Our group just used a couple of tools like Google Forms or some of their office apps. But again, in Germany Google is not really seen as an educational tool it seems. Most of my colleagues had never heard of these apps before.

If you have a Google contact, arrange a meeting. If you do not, pursue finding one.

Arrange to meet personally with your Google contact.

Prepare a one-page statement that aligns your goals with Google’s. Prepare a PowerPoint/Keynote/Google-equivalent presentation (of 2-3 pages, maximum). After the meeting leave the statement with Google, plus a hard copy of the PowerPoint slides.

During the course of the meeting, emphasize how valuable you would be for Google to pay you as a consultant/employee to help them succeed.

After returning home, write a letter to your contact and thank them for the opportunity to meet and to express your willingness to talk or meet again.

Before the Google meeting show the statement, the PowerPoint slides, and the follow-up letter to a friend. Collect their comments, make changes, and repeat the process until you are satisfied.

That’s what I did fifty years ago to get a job. You may well be familiar with the process and its variations.

Ideally you are the answer to their way forward before they even know they have a problem.

This approach can be used with any other institution (MIT, for example) that shares your ideas.

If you have a Google contact, arrange a meeting. If you do not, pursue finding one.

Arrange to meet personally with your Google contact.

Prepare a one-page statement that aligns your goals with Google’s. Prepare a PowerPoint/Keynote/Google-equivalent presentation (of 2-3 pages, maximum). After the meeting leave the statement with Google, plus a hard copy of the PowerPoint slides.

During the course of the meeting, emphasize how valuable you would be for Google to pay you as a consultant/employee to help them succeed.

After returning home, write a letter to your contact and thank them for the opportunity to meet and to express your willingness to talk or meet again.

Before the Google meeting show the statement, the PowerPoint slides, and the follow-up letter to a friend. Collect their comments, make changes, and repeat the process until you are satisfied.

That’s what I did fifty years ago to get a job. You may well be familiar with the process and its variations.

Ideally you are the answer to their way forward before they even know they have a problem.

This approach can be used with any other institution (MIT, for example) that shares your ideas.

Very nice playing and singing of (crunluath fosgailte Piobaireachd piece) The Little Spree yesterday. I appreciate it very much also because it's your 'voice' ... from the inside ... Am seeking now further how to teach how individuals can learn to play and sing (sign too) in the direction of further BEAUTY ... (what is beauty, what is beauty in Piobaireachd, and how can the Cantaiireachd and Piping come into conversation with each other in these regards?).

Regarding Corrienessan's Salute - and learning directly to one's inner ear (per Stuart Liddell) without too much sheet music in-between - I find Robert Watt's beautiful NONMENSURAL playing of this piece tremendously beautifully played - compared with Neil Clark's. I'm asking myself why is Watt playing lovely in comparison (to my ear)? Much listening to these recordings before next Thursday? (But I also think Clark's playing is more helpful for learning, than Watt). How to begin to play Piobaireachds masterfully (to 'steer' them in a sense musically, and as a consequence of the learning process:)?
Piobaireachd and playing a musical instrument and learning it are a gift, a wonderful gift :)
