Aging reversal genetic drug vaccine expedited due to past 18 months, and remarkably fast virus genetics' vaccine production??? Science will probably need human subjects to be certain, but dogs could be great as a start. And this & related testing research may - speculatively - already have begun. ... Where, as a human, to enter the process, if one had the opportunity!, and one was interested, yet appreciated rigorous FDA testing - so that such new potential drugs don't harm one? It will take years, decades and even potentially centuries + to study effectively such aging reversal gene drugs too. Yet many people would be willing to risk taking new drugs, given the scientific thinking about them, and because their benefits might outweigh their downsides. I haven't heard anything about a potential viable aging reversal gene drug whatever. Given the damage to my left eye from Pfizer 2nd dose, I'd be hesitant to take a 3rd dose - but appreciate that humans are taking them, - for the benefits to scientific testing of quickly produced new virus vaccines, and would think the data from this could be key for aging reversal genetic drug therapies too. Some thoughts from my experience and skepticism ... Glad you are thinking about this, and per medical recommendations, and in a related communication process. If what's being measured with Covid-19 tests in many cases is a variant of the common cold (where Dad as a MD and scientist said in the '70s or '80s I think that we carry ~180 rhinoviruses in us all the time, some of which get expressed as the common cold when our immune system is down), then maybe we're now coming to understand the common cold much better than ever, with new developing sophisticated tests. And if colds or pneumonia can affect people in their 90s more detrimentally than younger people, perhaps this 3rd dose is very sensible for people in your age group ... When it's ready scientifically and medically.
This is to suggest that hypothetical News' wise, in a non-SARS CoV2 non-epidemic, that all is not lost with the possible misinformation from the scientific community re questions of trust in medicine and science, and the possibility for dissent, over the past 18 months. (Am only a little angry at times for the crime and law breaking, re 1940s' laws & other laws against experiments on humans, re my damaged Left eye, from the Pfizer vaccines' 2nd dose, and maybe I'll have to live with this harm for centuries to come sadly, tragically even ... But perhaps the medical MD, SCIENTIFIC & GOVERNMENT officials as criminals will be brought to trial ... And that some kind of Justice will emerge from this serious harm to my far left eye). Seeking to get into a 'caring and loving mind space' in these regards too ... But not as a non-thinking religious 'sheep' but rather to learn from it, ... eg about resisting strong internet messaging (even if it would have meant not going to Cuttyhunk as part of the communication process). We’ve known for many years (decades) that glia are an intimate part of the nervous system. What we did not appreciate until recently is how much of an active role they take in computation, metabolism, tuning, aging, and survival.

I'm writing to let you know about a possible UU Minister position at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Kensington / Berkeley - https://uucb.org/connection/ministers/ - since Michelle Collins is the interim minister presently, and has been there about 1 year now. The Church is way up in the Berkeley hills, almost at Skyline Blvd, and has been a community since the 1890s. It might be a fascinating and great adventure for you and John, were you to be interested in exploring this opportunity. (And if you applied and got the position, you could always return to New Hampshire in some years, near Cuttyhunk:).

How about exploring jamboard.google.com next Saturday - with a jam or two, und auf Deutsch vielleicht? Perhaps one question we all might address together is "What would I like to see or talk about in Bay Area Stammtisch?" Hi Tammie, Scotophiles, All, Thanks so so much for your email just now, and potentially wise-encouragement to vigilance -
Greetings Scott! Alas, I wasn’t able to attend this year’s Games. My job has become more problematic since this whole Covid thing…initially we weren’t allowed to waste resources and enter the rooms of moms who were C+ and that created a huge backlog of appointments…so over time we were granted the ability to don and doff gear and that helped. Most of my staff wound up C+ early on, but they have also subsequently been vaccinated. Sadly though, a few left and I am still struggling with some new staff and a certain amount of “preciousness” regarding their work schedules. And then their family members get Covid and they are out . And it all falls to me to hustle staff or become the screener myself. I am currently on day 18 of 23 in a row and am going to State inspection meetings the next three days for 5 of the 7 hospitals under my wing. Trust me (continuing the analogy) this bird is pooped. At 61, being on my feet all day is a bit much. But, I persevere (Hold Fast eh?) and only occasionally break down into tears… So-no MacLeod tent at Pleasanton for the first time in I can’t even tell you how long. All of that being said, I do hope you have managed to avoid illness; vigilance helps!

In a realistic virtual earth for everything (and partly via surveillance cameras everywhere - think into Google Street View with time slider, Maps, Earth, TensorFlowAI, Translate, with realistic avatar bots even), I wonder about the new role of surveillance (cameras) and similar in our 200 countries' societies, and other sensing devices, and whether all of this 'surveillance' together, streamed into a single realistic virtual earth for everything, and post Covid-19 pandemic electronic medical records for more than 50% of 330 million people in the US, is one figure I've read), - and which could probably indicate issues of 'compliance with non-SARS CoV2 vaccine messaging on internet media' to my way of thinking, might become a new way of re-shaping 'PANDEMIC' behavior (as in the Pan genus of human primates) ... and if all of this could begin to have effects regarding new Legal I.T. Ethics even, in the information technology revolution.

Sadly, actually, I think the 2nd dose of the Pfizer vaccine damaged the far left corner of my left eye QUITE seriously ... (so the un-FDA TESTED vaccine got me sick in a sense, breaking laws developed even in the 1940s against unethical testing on human subjects) and even with a kind of vigilance on my part against and deep wariness or skepticism of this jumpstart to the genetic engineering revolution ... (Are we going to be able even to hold the perpetrators of this medical crime accountable)? But maybe my eye will heal on its own very very slowly ... with little evidence of this so far.
And / but if geneticists also develop an aging reversal gene drug vaccine, (and even to reverse my damaged eye from the mRNA vaccine I got, & at the molecular level, cellular and visible to an ophthalmologist's naked eye levels, so street view, in a sense) will this become a non issue?... If we could all go to the Scottish Games & Gathering when we're 1,243 years' old ... Could be good ... I'm not holding my breath ...

My cousin Mark MacLeod in Portland Maine (in email), through Genetics' genealogy was able to deduce, having gotten in touch with a half great uncle there, James Alan MacLeod, and gotten his DNA analyzed, that kiltmaker tailor James MacLeod (great great grandfather with the MacLeod name) in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island Canada (and now I look up in Ancestry where Mark does his magic) from the ~1830s to the ~1880s ... That his father was a Norman MacLeod from the Isle of Raasay, just east of the Isle of Skye ... Finding out who came before in genealogy is fun ... And this is a great great great grandfather I think ... New (but not yet talk-able with as avatar Bot chat not if he left any writing) ... Mark also sends genealogy genetic sample kits to MacLeods on Skye and asks these MacLeod recipients to mail them from Skye and Raasay etc to Texas for analysis ... And could be a possible resource MacLeod family history wise for your circles even too Tammie and Tegan ! ... N'est-ce pas, Mark? Mark is deeply into MacLeod family history in very interesting ways (and creative; he's also a Stanford Alum and smart with developing IT and genetics) ...

Hi Tammie, Scotophiles, All, Thanks so so much for your email just now, and potentially wise-encouragement to vigilance -
Greetings Scott! Alas, I wasn’t able to attend this year’s Games. My job has become more problematic since this whole Covid thing…initially we weren’t allowed to waste resources and enter the rooms of moms who were C+ and that created a huge backlog of appointments…so over time we were granted the ability to don and doff gear and that helped. Most of my staff wound up C+ early on, but they have also subsequently been vaccinated. Sadly though, a few left and I am still struggling with some new staff and a certain amount of “preciousness” regarding their work schedules. And then their family members get Covid and they are out . And it all falls to me to hustle staff or become the screener myself. I am currently on day 18 of 23 in a row and am going to State inspection meetings the next three days for 5 of the 7 hospitals under my wing. Trust me (continuing the analogy) this bird is pooped. At 61, being on my feet all day is a bit much. But, I persevere (Hold Fast eh?) and only occasionally break down into tears… So-no MacLeod tent at Pleasanton for the first time in I can’t even tell you how long. All of that being said, I do hope you have managed to avoid illness; vigilance helps!

In a realistic virtual earth for everything (and partly via surveillance - think Google Street View with time slider, Maps, Earth, TensorFlowAI, Translate, with realistic avatar bots even), I wonder about the new role of surveillance cameras and similar in our 200 countries' societies, and other sensing devices, and whether all of this 'surveillance' together, streamed into a single realistic virtual earth for everything, and post Covid-19 pandemic electronic medical records for more than 50% of 330 million people in the US, is one figure I've read), - and which could probably indicate issues of 'compliance with non-SARS CoV2 vaccine messaging on internet media' to my way of thinking, might become a new way of re-shaping 'PANDEMIC' behavior (as in the Pan genus of human primates) ... and if all of this could begin to have effects regarding new Legal I.T. Ethics even, in the information technology revolution.

Am wondering too if Brookline MA has the kind of warm friendly smart human connecting community (albeit in a big old city, with cold winters, humid summers, and not so many amazing natural areas) I'm kind of looking for, in a way that I haven't found in California. Turned onto Brookline St in Marin, and which made me wonder (and I think the Robbs may have lived long enough in Brookline, MA, to know how to connect with this community, too, although it seems unlikely we'll .... , re realism). Just walked up the new Tennessee valley trail for me to a major Tennessee Valley trail junction where you put on many layers after our walk from Muir Beach, then taking a fairly sharp turn, then seeing those two ravens (that somehow reminded me of Nicola Crayon Cambridge Univ Prof who studies their intelligence and communication too ... We didn't stop, but now setting for a bit I see the Pacific below and white caps around shoreline rocks, and a little power boat too seemingly at anchor on a quite foggy day. Just texted you. Being 'selfless' is a familiar way of being in my experience in women - but how SF California might change this is a question. I'm recalling Susan a bit in these regards, a previous mutual-love (from Washington state).

And I write with a damaged far left eye due I think to the 2nd Pfizer vaccine - and perhaps a lack of ethics in the Covid-19 pandemic, breaking laws from the 1940s .. in a nonSARS CoV2 non-epidemic.

Am wondering too if Brookline MA has the kind of warm friendly smart human connecting community (albeit in a big old city, with cold winters, humid summers, and not so many amazing natural areas) I'm kind of looking for, in a way that I haven't found in California. Turned onto Brookline St in Marin, and which made me wonder (and I think D may have lived in Brookline too, although it seems unlikely we'll meet, re realism). Just walked up the new Tennessee valley trail for me to a major Tennessee Valley trail junction where you put on many layers after our walk from Muir Beach, then taking a fairly sharp turn, then seeing those two ravens (that somehow reminded me of Nicola Crayon Cambridge Univ Prof who studies their intelligence and communication too ... We didn't stop, but now setting for a bit I see the Pacific below and white caps around shoreline rocks, and a little power boat too seemingly at anchor on a quite foggy day. Just texted you. Being 'selfless' is a familiar way of being in my experience in women - but how SF California might change this is a question. I'm recalling Susan a bit in these regards, a previous mutual-love (from Washington state too).
California's a kind of topsy turvy place culturally in my experience ... Freedom- (post Covid-19 pandemic self-quarantine), ethics- and caring-wise (& re is there a kind of lack of 'love' culturally 'in the air' - recognizing what George Alexander MD observed about love sardonically or in a droll way - that 'love and fifty cents, or now $2.15, will get you a cup of coffee). And I write with a damaged far left eye due I think to the 2nd Pfizer vaccine - and perhaps a lack of ethics in the Covid-19 pandemic, breaking laws from the 1940s .. in a nonSARS CoV2 non-epidemic.
Glad I checked in with you last night Ma - nice to talk (from the UU Church of Kensington Berkeley's hill bench) ... Glad I checked into Harbin Hot Springs all these years too (and wrote 'Naked Harbin Ethnography,' and 4 related books of poetry) ... And re UC Berkeley's, and also its Law Sch's 'atrocities' too (KP-wise) ... and I'll send a 'check in' to Quaker Friends' Association for Higher Education (FAHE) today re checking in too ... Re FAHE membership again ...

re hester peirce, i will indeed be sending her a copy of the book once published, though for the changes that are needed one needs to look outside of the financial regulators - as i mentioned in my talk, they are bound by their statutory origins and design so can only do/think so much.
its hard for anyone to give a concrete answer on the Pi network re whether it might fall under securities laws. as you will know, US law uses a facts and circumstances test that is often conducted on an ex post basis. labels like “social cryptocurrency” don't really mean to much in this context but if Pi is so decentralized nobody remains in charge (like bitcoin) then that should take it out of US securities laws. in the EU, while MiCa (still working its way through parliament) seeks to provide some certainty via a taxonomy of cryptoassets, the robustness of its taxonomy is one of its acknowledged weak points. however, while i;m not all that familiar with Pi it could alternatively fall within EU's electronic money directive.
re the marketing around Pi i’d be a little concerned about the language being used about “getting in on the ground floor” and the potential pyramid elements built in to the element of how to get more mining power. presumably the founders have had this all legally reviewed, but then so too did ripple inc.!
and this really gets to the point: what someone may come up with tmr as a new idea is going to be put/squeezed/pushed into some silo that works within the construct of the regulators, but doesn't necessarily work for the community … either to properly protect consumers or to facilitate industry development for the benefit of consumers/society. there’s no sensible guardrails in place. hence why i am exploring for new tools to use in the cryptoasset context!

As you probably know, the internet is a distributed networking information technology, and therein is its/a DBA strength, and also a challenge for banking regulators in all ~200 countries. In asking about the distinction between the distributed or (your) decentralized words, I ask too perhaps with these possible use case scenarios in mind. i see you have lots of interesting things in circulation.
my aspirations at present are somewhat more modest.
first, i’m merely hoping to help policymakers see why applying financial regulation, such as the howey test, is not sustainable.
second, to develop the line of thinking in my book that the financial regulatory approach has failed to achieve key regulatory objectives (such as de-risking, consumer protection, and providing a legal enviromment that facilitates business).
our teaching semester started this week, which will keep me somewhat occupied running my LLMCR programme and teaching a couple of courses. here in HK we are now back to face-to-face teaching, which is really refreshing after more than a year of online classes.

re hester peirce, i will indeed be sending her a copy of the book once published, though for the changes that are needed one needs to look outside of the financial regulators - as i mentioned in my talk, they are bound by their statutory origins and design so can only do/think so much.
its hard for anyone to give a concrete answer on the Pi network re whether it might fall under securities laws. as you will know, US law uses a facts and circumstances test that is often conducted on an ex post basis. labels like “social cryptocurrency” don't really mean to much in this context but if Pi is so decentralized nobody remains in charge (like bitcoin) then that should take it out of US securities laws. in the EU, while MiCa (still working its way through parliament) seeks to provide some certainty via a taxonomy of cryptoassets, the robustness of its taxonomy is one of its acknowledged weak points. however, while i;m not all that familiar with Pi it could alternatively fall within EU's electronic money directive.
re the marketing around Pi i’d be a little concerned about the language being used about “getting in on the ground floor” and the potential pyramid elements built in to the element of how to get more mining power. presumably the founders have had this all legally reviewed, but then so too did ripple inc.!
and this really gets to the point: what someone may come up with tmr as a new idea is going to be put/squeezed/pushed into some silo that works within the construct of the regulators, but doesn't necessarily work for the community … either to properly protect consumers or to facilitate industry development for the benefit of consumers/society. there’s no sensible guardrails in place. hence why i am exploring for new tools to use in the cryptoasset context!

Interesting lens on a green park view of Pittsburgh (when I was living there in 2006+2007) which just popped up from Google Photo ... In creating a realistic virtual earth for history, where we could wiki-add any pictures such as these, and only these pics popped up to add, and then animate them (eg with wind, if present), make 3D and patch together - for a specific walking 'view' of VR - would one be able to enter into a garden park AND travel around and check it out and even plant a virtual garden - all virtually? I think so :) ... Interesting selective view (and even regarding informing psychology historically perhaps )

Could individuals and matriculating World Univ & Sch students add these via DRAG and DROP, both in place where they were taken from (thanks to machine learning in Google Street View with Time Slider) ... and in the year or month etc they were taken - and also use these or their own photos (meaning-wise) to create a sketch or skit stage drop, and even in a class with John Cleese at WUaS for example? :)

Pittsburgh park, September 1, 2007 ...Interesting lens on a green park view of Pittsburgh (when I was living there in 2006+2007) which just popped up from Google Photo ... In creating a realistic virtual earth for history, where we could wiki-add any pictures such as these, and only these pics popped up to add, and then animate them (eg with wind, if present), make 3D and patch together - for a specific walking 'view' of VR - would one be able to enter into a garden park AND travel around and check it out and even plant a virtual garden - all virtually? I think so :) ... Interesting selective view (and even regarding informing psychology historically perhaps )
