8 Situations When Taking Out a Small Business Loan Is the Right Financial Move

To the uninitiated, the practice of taking loans for businesses is often a controversial and misunderstood one. Many regular people conflate institutional loans with personal loans which, while similar, are very different in practice.

For one thing, businesses tend to have more capacity to increase their income or diversify their revenue streams compared to most individuals. In contrast, the income of most individuals is primarily limited to their salaries or the sale of existing personal possessions. Also, business loans are designed to enable businesses to produce better future revenue. On the other hand, personal loans cater to individual financial needs such as funding a wedding or covering medical expenses.

With those things in mind, taking out a business loan can be seen as a strategic move in specific situations. Here are eight scenarios where obtaining a loan can be the right financial decision for your growing business:

1. You’re Ready to Expand Your Operations

Whether you plan to open new branches, extend your product line, or enter new markets, expansion often means putting up a significant sum of cash. Not only do you need to acquire the capital assets needed for the expansion, but you’ll also need to put up sufficient funding to carry your new operations through their initial phase. For many businesses, taking out a business banking loan is the only realistic way of safely facilitating serious expansion.

2. You Need Equipment

For many businesses, achieving the levels of efficiency needed to stay competitive is only possible with well-considered equipment purchases. If you find that your business can only be competitive if it has access to some kind of technology or specialized equipment, a business loan can be justifiable.

3. You Need Good People Onboard

Attracting and retaining top talent takes money. Without competitive salaries, benefits, and training programs, you’ll struggle to find people who can produce substantial value for your organization, ultimately dulling your competitive edge. Taking out a business loan can provide you with the extra resources you need to hire skilled employees who can contribute to your company’s success.

4. You’ve Discovered a Market Opportunity That’s Worth the Risk

In dynamic business environments, unique market opportunities can emerge suddenly and disappear just as quickly. When you identify a promising market opportunity that requires immediate investment, securing a small business loan can allow you to capitalize on it before your competitors do.

5. You Want to Build a Legitimate Credit History

Establishing a strong credit history is crucial for securing more significant, better-quality financing in the future. Taking out a small business banking loan from a recognized financial institution and responsibly managing it can help build your business’s credit profile, making it easier to secure loans with better terms down the line.

6. You Need Financial Coverage for an Emergency

Business emergencies such as equipment breakdowns, employee accidents, or supply chain disruptions can disrupt your operations and cash flow. In these cases, a business loan can provide a safety net and operational continuity.

However, while taking a business loan in these circumstances is often necessary, ideally, your business needs to maintain enough liquidity to cover the cost of most emergencies. Make sure to build up your business’s savings to reduce the need for loans in such situations.

7. You Have to Quickly Meet Seasonal Demand

Many consumer markets experience strong seasonal fluctuations in demand.

If your business thrives during specific times of the year, a small business loan can help you take better advantage of the bump in demand by giving you the means to prepare more inventory, hire more staff, and launch seasonal marketing campaigns.

8. You Need Effective Marketing

Marketing and advertising are often overlooked by smaller businesses because of the cost involved and the challenges in determining the real return on investment. Nonetheless, well-managed campaigns are essential for growing your brand. A small business loan can fund key marketing initiatives, allowing you to reach a wider audience and shape your brand’s public perception, ultimately driving growth and revenue.

What Kind of Loans Do I Need for My Small Business?

The right loan product depends on the situation. For instance, a small loan to cover a temporary payroll shortfall will have different prerequisites compared to a more substantial business banking loan intended to finance the opening of a new location.

Larger loans for businesses often require collateral, substantial documentation, and a more comprehensive evaluation of the business’s financial health. However, finding the perfect loan product each time can be a challenge for small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), and many simply cannot afford the collateral needed to secure a quality loan.

In some markets like the Philippines, SME-focused products from Neobanks or Fintechs, like the Maya Flexi Loan, have emerged to address these issues. These products typically have no collateral requirements, reasonable interest rates, and flexible payment schedules, doing away with the need to tap into inappropriate business loan products or problematic informal financing. By leveraging SME-focused loan products, businesses can safely access the capital they need to cover short-term gaps or to embark on growth initiative.

9 Reasons Why Your Business Needs a Website

There are more than 1.5 billion websites on the internet now, and this number is constantly increasing.

How important is it for your business or you to have a website?

In this article, I will share 9 benefits of having a website and give you specific reasons to build your own website. Learn how a website can help your business grow its online presence and increase sales and conversions.

Let’s get started.

1. Online Presence 24/7

Today, having a website is just as essential as having a store, office, or telephone number.

Research has found that 6/10 customers expect brands to have content online about their business.

A website allows customers to access your business whenever they want — from anywhere in the world.

By staying offline, you could be losing customers to your competitors as most companies nowadays have their own websites.

2. Showcase Your Work

Whether you offer interior design services, content writing, professional web design services, or other types of work that can be made visual, the creation of a portfolio page will encourage more new clients to get in touch with you.

I was hired by Swara Colors and Textures to develop a digital portfolio for their company. The reason is that digital portfolios are cheaper and easier to handle than paper portfolios. Additionally, potential clients can easily access their portfolio website with just one click.

Also, my favorite Bangalore-based illustrator and blogger, Angela Marry Vaz, markets her illustration skills through her blog. As a result, she is earning much more money than most other online illustrators.

Even I use my own websites, InuEtc.com and Inuidea.com, to share my knowledge and business strategies to help young hustlers build their own online businesses. By doing this, I am growing my personal brand online and now I’m promoting my web design, consulting, and other services on my website as well.

If you want to increase the impact of your portfolio page, include 5 or more client testimonials. You can include testimonials of your clients on your website’s Home page, where users land once they click the link.

3. Information Exchange

It is easy and convenient for buyers and sellers to exchange information through a website.

Your website can be used to share contact information, show images of your location or products, as well as use contact forms to get inquiries from potential customers or feedback from your existing customers.

You can also upload videos or publish blog posts (written content) to engage your customers, build trust, and sell your products in an effective and cost-efficient way.

4. Credibility

Nowadays, reputable businesses must have an online presence in order to maintain a competitive edge. There is no way that potential customers can trust a company that does not have a phone number, address, or website.

On your website, you can share information with your customers to engage them and build trust, as discussed in the ‘Information Exchange’ section.

An attractive, easy-to-use website makes your customers feel comfortable using your services because they assume they will receive the same positive experience across all areas of your business.

5. Market Expansion

The ability to break through geographical barriers has never been easier thanks to your website’s global accessibility.

Anyone, from any country, can find your company once you have a website, so they become your potential customers.

If you share information about your business on your website and engage with visitors, you can convert these international potential clients.

6. Consumer Insights

It’s extremely beneficial to keep track of your website’s traffic statistics. With analytical tools such as Google Analytics, you can identify your typical customers, how they found you, what they like, where they live, and more.

By analyzing the wide range of data available, you can better understand the impact of your social media channels, the information on your website on your brand, and even identify ways to improve promotional and product ranges on both the online and offline sides of your business.

7. Advertising

The power of online advertising tools such as Google AdWords, Facebook ads, or Instagram ads allows you to reach customers more accurately and reliably than traditional offline advertising methods such as TV ads and hoardings.

You can easily reach your targeted potential customers through SEO and online advertising. By doing this correctly, you can increase traffic to your website and attract more clients.

8. Competitors Online

If you don’t have a website, your competitors likely will, which means you’re missing out on lots of new customer opportunities. As I mentioned earlier, you can use your website to build trust, get consumer insights, as well as get more clients by doing SEO and online advertising.

So, why stay offline when you could lose customers to your competitors by not having an online presence?

9. Customer Service Online

It is easier to handle customer service through websites. If you share answers to frequently asked questions in a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section and all useful information related to your business on your website, you can reduce customer service costs and save time.

Additionally, you can add a Live Chat feature to your site to interact directly with potential customers.

You can also use contact forms to get feedback from existing customers or inquiries from potential customers. You can add positive feedback to a testimonial section on your site, which gives you more credibility to convert your potential customer into a paying customer.

Top 10 Sponsored Post Networks You Must Join Now (Make $250 Per Sponsored Post)

Sponsored posts can be a great way to make money blogging!

In 2020, I became a full-time blogger. This was possible because I make money with sponsored posts, affiliate marketing, and Google AdSense.

A sponsored post is one in which a blogger gets paid to promote a brand or product on their blog.

You can talk about a brand or product you love, share details on how you use a certain product or how it can benefit others, and get paid to do it.

Today in this post, I’m gonna talk about the best sponsored post networks, the ways you can get sponsorship opportunities and how much you should charge for sponsored posts, and the rules you must follow when it comes to sponsored posting.

Learn how to get brand deals, and how to get sponsored posts opportunities to make money online.

Here are some ways to get paid to blog with sponsored post opportunities.

Let’s dive right in.

Create Profiles on Sponsored Post Networks

Making a profile on one of the sponsored post networks and influencer marketing websites is one of the easiest ways to get noticed by brands.

Don’t forget to complete your profile and make it as detailed as possible.

On sponsored post websites, they’re going to ask you what your blog is about.

You should make this as exciting, engaging, and as detailed as possible without writing a lengthy story.

For example, don’t just say, “Inuidea is a blog about online business and entrepreneurship” I’d say, “Inuidea is a blog dedicated to young hustlers and aspiring entrepreneurs who want to start their own online business to make money online.”

In addition, many of these sponsored post networks only accept bloggers who meet certain qualifications.

Here you’ll find my Work With Me page with all other important information including brands I’ve worked with, and a general overview of who I am.

Thanks in advance, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Inu Etc

You become much more likely to get sponsored posts after you’ve developed partnerships with brands and worked with some sponsored post companies.

Due to my experience working with many brands, I now get emails almost daily with sponsored post opportunities.

In most cases, I turn them down, either because their brand is unfit for my blog or because their budget is not sufficient.

Is it necessary to disclose that you work with a brand?

You need to disclose at the top of a post that it is a sponsored post if you are being compensated for it or getting free products from a brand.

Check out the FTC’s endorsement guides and FAQ page regarding sponsored posting and online advertising.

If you don’t follow these guidelines you may get into trouble. Many influencers and bloggers are getting in trouble due to not clearly labeling that their Instagram post or blog post is an ad or sponsored post.

How much do sponsored posts pay? How much should you charge for sponsored posts?

While everyone has a different opinion on this, I think bloggers and influencers should never charge less than $250.

Writing a sponsored post takes time, and you have to make it engaging and relevant while also promoting a brand, and sometimes you might have to do some negotiation and a bit of back and forth with the brand or the company until you get everything right.

Definitely charge more for brands that are bigger; they take a lot more time when communicating via email since they consult with their team before taking any important steps, which is why you will encounter a lot more delays.

If they have tens or hundreds of thousands of followers on social media, you know they are a popular brand. Also, search on Google about them, if they have a strong presence on Google, you know they are a reliable and popular brand.

As a beginner blogger, you can begin with $100 to $150 and charge $50 per social media share. You should charge more if you have to create graphics and other types of content for the brand.

As your blog traffic increases and your social media fan base grows, you can charge more.

Now learn from my mistakes.

Over the past year, I have realized how much I have undervalued my work and myself as a blogger.

I was afraid to charge too much!

My fear is that I’ll be denied or told that I am not deserving of that fee if I charge too much.

The worst that can happen is they will say no.

Nevertheless, you are free to negotiate and offer them a lower price if you are comfortable communicating with the brand.

You can also wait for them to email you saying yes, they will pay the fee.

I’ve experienced this multiple times.

Basically, I’m saying that you should feel confident in who you are and what you do. Never undervalue your work or your brand. Be sure to charge for your hard work.

Now it’s your turn!

3 Tips I Have Learned from My 3 Year Digital Nomad Birthday

The life of a digital nomad caught me by surprise. I had no idea it was even a possibility until I did research during the Covid-19 pandemic on where I could escape.

Previously, I’d be a backpacker, vacationing in hostels and moving around without a plan or I would join tour groups tailored to traveling to a destination. I couldn’t begin to fathom the realm that work in play could meet in the background of harmony.

In this case, Playa del Carmen, Mexico. It was October 2020 and I was sick of just pacing back and forth trying to get a little bit of air. I was in Seattle, Washington in the States and they had pretty strict lockdown policies at the time. The beautiful summer was turning back to winter and with this, I decided to buy a flight down to Mexico to catch warmer weather and maybe a community.

The rest was the start of a beautiful journey that I still continue 3 years later. In these 3 years, I haven’t lived anywhere longer than 2 months and have picked up a lot of travel stories, growth, and most importantly 3 amazing tips I’m about to drop.

Read more: How To Become a Digital Nomad and Travel The World

Tip #1: Overcoming Loneliness

Solo-traveling can be lonely, I get it, it’s a risk. If you’ve ever read ‘Into the Wild’, the moral I got from the book was that life is meant to be lived making memories with others vs dying alone.

Little sad and scared now of trying out this lifestyle?

How in the world are you to bring your closest friends and people you care about to share in this wanderlust with you?

Give them a little teaser, book a 1 or 2 week flight to somewhere you’ve mutually dreamed about and see what traveling and working with your buddy can look like.

If it’s not for them, that’s ok, at least you had some beautiful times.

So, how to do this longer?

Digital nomad comm unities.

2023 has been an exceptional year to foster connections and bring nomads closer than ever.

We’ve seen an explosion of growth in the community leading to more coworking spaces, coliving spaces, nomad retreats, and even nomad festivals.

The nomad community is still small but growing and I’m currently drinking a coconut while meeting my favorite Frenchie for the 8th country since getting to know her last year!

I met her through my experience of Wifi Tribe – a 4-week coliving and coworking experience that changes locations every month. I went off to test the waters and check out other community groups for nomads.

This led me to check out the Beet Community in Palermo, Sicily. Remote 9 coworking road trips in Iceland and the Bansko Nomad Fest in Bansko, Bulgaria.

From this event, I decided to start my own retreat for the nomad community: Cloud Connections. Digital Nomad Festival Retreats.

Think of samba-ing with your fellow aspiring nomads in Rio for Carnival or lighting up your life with the Lantern Festival in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The root of these nomadic communities is to foster connections and overcome loneliness in the nomadic lifestyle.

We are meant to live and grow together and location independence does not mean people independence. These communities create community by going deep and learning to love and grow with each other during their time together.

Wow, that’s lovely! How about when you’re not physically present?

This is all about prioritizing the people in your life that matter. Make sure to spend a day every week messaging, sending voice notes or even calling friends/family to check-in.

Voice notes are a great way to do this as they are time zone independent and you get to pick up on the beautiful nuances of their voice.

(Blue Lagoon, Iceland with a lovely community)

Tip #2: Work-Life Balance

Do you even work when you post about your day hanging with monkeys or by the pool. The answer is hells yes!

This past year I left my 9-5 role to pursue my passion in starting a digital nomad community AND I also do high-ticket affiliate marketing and blogging. You could say I have more than enough on my plate.

Don’t forget it’s important to prioritize your health with a good fitness and eating plan as well as morning habits like meditation. This all adds up, where in the world does the work part come in?

Being a full-time nomad, constantly needing to figure out housing, where to stay, where to go, what to do, that’s enough right?

It sure can be! I’d recommend it if you’re just starting out to plan a little in advance on your non-negotiables.

For example, in Playa, I wanted to see Chichen Itza (One of the world’s wonders) and check out the cenotes. There were at least 8-9 different things I wanted to do. My tip here is to write them all down and create a bucket list of fun items and a list of cafes you’d like to check out to work at and even coworking that have free day passes.

I was working a full-time job then so was very much on a 12-8 p.m. schedule, I enjoyed a few mornings diving in the beautiful ocean and then was able to get dinner with everyone during the week. The weekends consisted of checking out all the beautiful spots.

Now, as an entrepreneur, I work 24/7. Just kidding. I build routine and consistency where I can, For example, morning gym sessions followed by a 4-hour working sprint. I could then grab a matcha latte with an influencer I’m meeting to help promote my brand or simply just take a nap.

The options are limitless to work online and pursue the nomadic lifestyle!

Basically, you do you.

It’s okay if there are a couple of days where you grind out hard but make sure you balance that with a couple of days of exploring. The most important tip here is to not feel guilty in this lifestyle of not doing as much as you thought.

You’re doing so much and you’re amazing! You booked tickets to be where you are, found your accommodations, are getting over jet lag and just trying to be.

Don’t forget that we are human BEings, not human DOings and sometimes just let yourselves be for the moment. You’ll be in a much better headspace to create that goodness.

Tip #3: People are People

This was a shocker to me!

I thought I was going to meet the most badass, wildly interesting, and explorative people ever on my nomadic journey.

People who have done, seen, and experienced every corner of this world would say “Hells Yes” to everything that came their way because well they got out of their comfort zones at home right?

Nope! Rude awakening.

Sometimes people just don’t want to face winter in Canada or Germany and head South to just chill and beach life.

Do they have a curiosity to travel, sure, but do they want to go ATVing and explore the country with you?

Nah, some people are homebodies, and just because they’re not in their home country doesn’t mean the same principles don’t apply. Not all digital nomads say yes to everything.

Travel is just one aspect and while many find it adventurous, there are different levels and different scales of people. You will meet nomads from all ethnicities, backgrounds, and tastes.

I will say, that it’s easier to meet Westerners as their passport strength, unfortunately, takes precedence over travel ability. When you start on your journey, expect people to just be a bit more open-minded than your average Joe back home but to take it with a grain of salt and not be shocked if they don’t say yes to your request of going free diving in the morning.

How I Travel The World Working Online

I like travelling, and I want to travel the world. I started Inuidea.com in 2019 and co-founded Hostneur.com in 2023, and I’ll build more online businesses in future so that I can earn money to travel the world.

Here’s how I make money while travelling the world, and how you can too!

Travel The World Working Online

Travel The World Working Online

1. Sponsorship

I promote different brands on Inuidea.com, Instagram and on my YouTube channel. SafetyWing is one of my favourite sponsors. I get commissions, sponsorship and bonuses for creating content for SafetyWing.

SafetyWing sponsorships help me a lot while travelling. It takes lots of money to travel the world and as a brand ambassador of SafetyWing, I regularly get sponsorship opportunities that help me roam around the world.

It’s my dream to travel the world, and SafetyWing is the fuel that helps me move forward.

By the way,

This blog post is also sponsored by SafetyWing.

SafetyWing is a travel medical insurance that was created by nomads for nomads.

You’re covered in 185 countries, and you don’t need to let them know about your itinerary in advance.

It’s the perfect solution for people like me who are always on the move and never quite sure where we’ll be next month. So, next time, fly with SafetyWing.

For more information or to sign up, visit their website at — SafetyWing.com

2. Affiliate marketing

I’m an affiliate with lots of relevant brands, I promote products that are really helpful to my audience. Whenever someone purchase a product using my custom link, I get commissions.

“Affiliate marketing refers to the business of selling other people’s products in order to earn commissions. Whenever a sale is made through your unique affiliate links, you earn commissions.”

Every month, I still receive multiple emails regarding affiliate commissions from brands I promote on Medium and on my blog.

When you have a loyal audience, affiliate marketing is the best and easiest way to make money online.

Avoid promoting rubbish products solely for the sake of making money. You should provide value first and only include product links that you believe will be helpful to your audience.

I’ve made a spreadsheet of 40+ affiliate programs (I’ll update it from time to time) that you can join and start promoting to make passive income.

The affiliate spreadsheet includes:

Affiliate program nameLinkDescriptionCommission details and,“Does Inu Etc make money by promoting this?”

Visit InuEtc.com, and you will see a form, just enter your email and click the ‘Give Me’ button, and you will be redirected to the free affiliate spreadsheet.

3. Online businesses – Inuidea.com, Hostneur.com

Inuidea.com is a blog dedicated to young hustlers and aspiring entrepreneurs who want to start their own online business to make money online.

With the freedom to work from anywhere, I am able to create beautifully designed and user-friendly websites that are both visually appealing and functional. Whether it’s designing a sleek e-commerce website or revamping an existing site, I take pride in delivering high-quality work that exceeds expectations.
And same for other services, I give my best in everything I do, I understand and then I execute.

5. Blogging

If you have a blog or want to start a blog soon, and want to monetize it, then Google AdSense is the #1 ad network you can use to monetize your blog.

You may have seen some ads on my blog! (If you’re not using an Ad Blocker on your browser 😏)

Those are ads by Google AdSense. Whenever someone clicks or sees those ads, I make money.

As you grow your blog and your brand, you can collaborate with individuals, brands, and companies. They can compensate you for writing a sponsored post.

You’ll get cold emails from relevant brands who want to collaborate with you. You can convert them into hot (😏) money-making deals through your conversation. Also, you can send cold emails to potential collaborators to get sponsorship and brand deals.

I get emails from collaborators on a regular basis. Also, I’m active on Intellifluence, an influencer marketplace where I apply for new collaboration opportunities.

6. Merch

Once you establish as brand or some influencer, you can start your merch to sell product’s like T-shirts, Mugs, Hats, Shorts, Cases, Phone Holder, Custom Socks, Sweatshirts, Hoodies, etc.

You can use platform like: Teespring, Spreadshirt, Redbubble, Printful, Zazzle, Printrove, Blinkstore, to start selling your merch.

Using the platform mentioned above, you don’t have to take the headache of managing inventory, shipping, products quality, everything will be managed by the team on the respected platform, the only thing you’ve to do is design an art, place it on the product you want to sell, add it to your store and voilà you’re done.

You can help me by purchasing product from my merch Hope.
Yep, the name is Hope, keep your hope alive.

My Solo Trip to Meghalaya – Exploring the Wettest Place on Earth

After spending three days in Tura (One of the largest towns in Meghalaya, Tura is located in the West Garo Hills district.), I decided to explore Meghalaya in a group to reduce my expenses.

So I went to the CouchSurfing app to find some travelers and got connected with Khaled, a traveler from Bangladesh

CouchSurfing is an app where you can get hosts and ask to stay at their home for free, you can also see how many travelers are using the CouchSurfing app at that location.

Khaled told me he and three other travelers will arrive in Shillong on the evening of 14 July, and I can join them on their trip to Cherrapunji and Dawki.

So, I booked a 9-hour long overnight bus ride from Tura to Shillong (303 KM).

It was 8:30 PM on 13 July when I boarded the bus, and it was 5:30 AM on 14 July when I reached ISBT (Inter-State Bus Terminus) Shillong.

Morning, July 14, Shillong,  Meghalaya

From ISBT Shillong, I took a taxi to Center Point, Police Bazar, Shillong. There were no hotels or restaurants open in Shillong since it was still early morning.

Despite searching online and visiting various hotels, I struggled to find a vacant room due to full occupancy.

Eventually, I managed to secure a room around 8 AM, planning to stay for one night, as I had already decided to go to Cherrapunji the next day with Khaled.

Later that day, I met Nayan Das, another solo traveler from Bangladesh, who was around the same age (20) as me.

In the evening, Khaled arrived with his three travel companions and informed me that their plans to visit Cherrapunji and Dawki had been canceled.

At the moment, I was completely fucked up as I had planned the entire trip with this group and I didn’t even have room to stay in the next day, as Nayan had already booked my room for the next two days.

Yes, Shillong is always crowded with tourists from India and abroad. The majority of travelers are from Assam and Bangladesh.

The group canceled their trip, but after meeting Khaled, I was happy since he was a hardcore traveler like me and we decided to go on a trip together in the future.

Because they arrived in Shillong at night, we had a hard time finding a hotel room for them; we went to multiple hotels and finally found a room for them. It was a little expensive, but there were no other options.

After leaving them at their hotel, I was searching for a new group to explore Cherrapunji and Dawki since that was the main reason why I came to Shillong in the first place.

Fortunately,

At my hotel, I met a new group – an uncle (Anisul) from Bangladesh, and another uncle (Tazamul) along with his nephew (Samim) from West Bengal, India.

July 15, Cherrapunji, Meghalaya

On July 15th, our group set out to explore Cherrapunji.

We drove through clouds and rain, experiencing the unique charm of one of the rainiest places on Earth.

I had come prepared with a raincoat, but my companions had to purchase raincoats on our way due to the rain.

Our first stop was the breathtaking Wah-Kaba Falls, a mesmerizing experience reminiscent of my visit to Jung Waterfall in Arunachal Pradesh.

We then visited NohKaLikai Falls, one of the tallest plunge waterfalls in India. Its height is 340 meters (1,115 ft). Unfortunately, we couldn’t see the waterfall because of the fog.

It was on my bucket list due to the local sad legend associated with it.

A brief summary of NohKaLikai’s legend follows:

“A young woman named Ka Likai who had a daughter from her earlier marriage had married for a second time. Her husband hated her stepdaughter. One day, on returning home after work in the fields she was surprised to see her husband had prepared the evening meal and even served her. After eating the meal without suspicion, Likai discovered her daughter’s fingers in the basket of betel nuts. Distraught with grief and remorse she rushed to the nearby cliffs and threw herself over the precipice adjoining the waterfalls. The fall has ever since been known as NohKaLikai which means The Leap of Likai.“

You can read more about the legend on the Wikipedia page here.

We then went to Nohsngithiang Falls (also known as the Seven Sisters Waterfalls or Mawsmai Falls) which is a seven-segmented waterfall located one kilometer south of Mawsmai village in East Khasi Hills district, Meghalaya.

Inu Etc in Seven Sisters Waterfall, Nohsngithiang, Cherrapunji, Meghalaya.

Then we visited the Mawsmai Cave. There is a bad smell inside the cave, but what do you expect from a cave? It was well-lit, that was enough.

We visited Elephant Falls on the way back to Shillong from Cherrapunji.

When I returned to the hotel at night, there were no rooms available. So, I searched a lot for a hotel and finally found one through Booking.com. The hotel’s name was Manna Inspira, and it was located 6KM away from Police Bazar, Shillong.

The distance was the only problem but I had no choice, so I decided to book the hotel and booked a Rapido bike (bike service) to get there. I booked the hotel for two days.

Even though the hotel was better than the previous one, there was no restaurant or shop nearby.

July 16, Dawki, Meghalaya

I booked another Rapido in the morning and met my group at Police Bazar for breakfast before embarking on our journey.

First, we visited Mawlynnong village, known as Asia’s cleanest village. Next, we visited the Mawlynnong living root bridge. I had never seen a bridge made with living plant roots before, so it was an amazing experience.

Then we went to Dawki, and on our way, we saw the India-Bangladesh border and multiple Waterfalls. In Dawki, we experienced a boat ride in the stunning turquoise waters of the Umngot River.

In the evening, we returned to Shillong. I booked Rapido again to go to my hotel room after the car dropped us off at Police Bazar.

July 17, Shillong to Guwahati

I was waiting for a Rapido guy in the center of the city, near an Indian Army barricade, when an Indian Army soldier asked me:

: Are you waiting for someone?

: Yeah, I’m waiting for a Rapido guy for a ride to ISBT Shillong.

: Are you a student?

: I’m a traveler and I write online. Inuidea.com is my blog.

After that, he asked me some more questions about my work with great interest, and I told him to visit my website, and he promised to do so.

The Rapido guy then arrived, and I hopped on the bike. It was raining lightly on our way, and I reached ISBT Shillong after half an hour.

While waiting for the bus, I realized that I had a high fever. I took medicine from my first aid box and finally boarded the bus.

I was feeling unwell due to food poisoning and fever. That’s why I booked a sleeper seat and slept for three hours until I reached Guwahati.

That concluded my solo trip to Meghalaya. It was a challenging, unplanned, yet memorable experience. I had the opportunity to meet some amazing people during my journey and to learn a lot about different places in Meghalaya.

Affiliate Marketing on Medium – My Success Story

It’s my habit* to check my email as soon as I wake up in the morning. *(Off-topic: Is it a bad habit? Let me know in the comments section below)

20 October 2022.

I saw an email from CopyAI when I woke up in the morning.

“You earned a commission”.

Here’s the full story.

Since 2018, I have been waiting for the Medium Partner Program to come to India. I was hopeless after waiting so long.

Finally, I gave up on the idea of making money from Medium and started writing just because I love to write.

On my blog (Inuidea.com), I do affiliate marketing. So, I decided to try affiliate marketing on Medium and I added affiliate links to some relevant articles.

Affiliate marketing refers to the business of selling other people’s products in order to earn commissions. Whenever a sale is made through your unique affiliate links, you earn commissions.

That’s it.

It only took me a month to earn some commissions, and I’m still earning every month.

Affiliate Commissions Screenshot

On Medium, I received a lot of hate for sharing my experience using AI to write a sponsored article for a brand on Inuidea.com.

Nevertheless, because of the engagement, I also got more traffic to my article, as well as conversions to the affiliate links.

Every month, I still receive multiple emails regarding affiliate commissions from brands I promote on Medium and on my blog.

When you have a loyal audience, affiliate marketing is the best and easiest way to make money online.

Also, if you promote relevant and helpful products, a new audience that you get from Medium or Google, or Social Media will also convert.

Avoid promoting rubbish products solely for the sake of making money. You should provide value first and only include product links that you believe will be helpful to your audience.

How to Use Tailwind Ghostwriter AI for Product Descriptions

This is a sponsored post by Tailwind. I received compensation but this post reflects my personal opinion about the information provided by the sponsor. Please read my disclaimer for more information.

Are you tired of spending a long time writing good product descriptions for your eCommerce store?

Well, now you don’t have to worry anymore!

With Tailwind Ghostwriter AI, you can quickly write amazing and engaging descriptions for your products that will help you sell more.

This post contains  affiliate links , meaning that if you choose to click through and make a purchase, I will receive a small commission at no cost to you. Also, I don’t recommend anything that I don’t believe in.

What is Tailwind?

A great marketing tool that started as a Pinterest scheduling tool, Tailwind now offers Instagram scheduling, Facebook scheduling, social media content creation, link-in-bio tools, email marketing, and their Copilot marketing plan to help you stay on top of everything. They are now expanding into AI-generated content with Tailwind Ghostwriter.

Tailwind has a forever free plan that you can sign up for without entering your credit card details.

How to Use Tailwind Ghostwriter AI for Product Descriptions

You can start writing Product Descriptions with Tailwind Ghostwriter AI by selecting the required tool from the Product Listing section of Tailwind (dashboard) AI Labs.

The Product Listing section offers a few options depending on where your store is located. A variety of options are available, including Amazon listing, Etsy listing, Shopify listing, and other listings.

You simply need to select one of the product listing generators that work with the e-commerce platform you’re using. Simply click on Shopify Listing if you’re selling products on Shopify.

Next, you need to fill in some basic information like the name of your product, who you want to sell it to (target audience), and the keywords you want to focus on. Make sure you also mention what makes your product different (unique selling point or unique value).

Once you’ve provided all the information, you just have to click a button that says Generate Shopify Product Listing.

The tool will now analyze your information and give you a title, description, and tags of your product based on the information you provided. The titles, descriptions, and tags will be relevant to your product and the eCommerce store in order to attract and retain the people you are trying to sell your product to.

If you don’t like the content, just click the Generate Shopify Product Listing button again. Remember, each time you create new content or a description, you will lose 1 Ghostwriter credit.

You can also edit the content made by AI to fit what you need. After that, just copy the description and use it immediately on your online store.

How to Get Access to Tailwind Ghostwriter AI

Join Tailwind’s FREE plan to gain access to Tailwind Ghostwriter. This feature is available for all plan levels, but each level provides a different number of credits.

Tailwind currently has 4 pricing plans. On the Free plan, you’ll get 10 Ghostwriter Credits per month. With Pro ($12.99 per month), you’ll get 50 credits. On Advanced ($19.99 per month), you’ll get 250 credits. And on Max ($39.99 per month), you’ll get 500 credits.

However, I highly recommend that you carefully read the AI-generated content and make any necessary edits to fit your tone and style before you use it on your online store.

The easiest ways to make money as a travel blogger

Looking for the best ways to make money as a travel blogger?

Become a SafetyWing ambassador and receive regular bonuses and earn commissions by promoting SafetyWing travel medical insurance. This is a great combination of affiliate marketing and sponsorship. The product is also relevant and helpful for travelers.

Need some motivation?

(It is important to note that your motivation shouldn’t be solely based on money. Earning money from an online business takes a very long period of time, so if you’re really passionate about it, jump into it, as it requires a lot of patience, skills, and persistence.)

In 2023, I made over $470 promoting SafetyWing.

The best part,

The SafetyWing ambassador program is open to everyone and if you have a hundred followers, you can earn bonuses by creating content to promote SafetyWing.

Affiliate marketing

Earn commissions by promoting Booking.com, Trivago, Agoda, and other hotel brands.

You can also join Travelpayouts, an affiliate marketing platform where you can join more than 60 travel brands, including hotels, flights, and other travel-related companies.

Also, you can promote anything you think is relevant and helpful to your audience.

Build an audience.

If you create videos on YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram, you can build an audience and make money from advertisements and sponsorships.

Also, you can start a travel blog and monetize your content with AdSense, sponsorships, and affiliate links. You’ll receive sponsorship opportunities as your blog DA (domain authority) and traffic increase.

Need more motivation?

My blog (Inuidea.com) is my primary income source and I earn from affiliate marketing, AdSense, and sponsorship. The majority of Inuidea.com’s income comes from sponsored posts.

Read more: The Top 5 Tips for Getting Brand Deals and Sponsorship Opportunities – Why Do Brands Like to Work With Me?

Remember,

It took me almost 1.5 years to get my first sponsorship opportunity to earn the first 100 dollars from my blog.

Read more: How I made my first $100 in one hour from my blog
Also, remember,

I can’t guarantee you success if you try to create a blog now and imitate me. It’s important to find your own style and passion. Finding your skills and loving your job, at least in the early stages, is the key to success.

You can also promote AI tools, as they’re trending nowadays. In 2023, I made more than $290 by promoting CopyAI on Medium.
