Also, people are aware of passive income opportunities, remote jobs, online businesses, and opportunities to work remotely are rising.

According to a recent study, 4.8 Million Americans consider themselves Digital Nomads

Pieter Levels, the founder of Nomad List, predicted that there’ll be an estimated 1 billion digital nomads roaming the planet by 2035.

What Exactly Is a Digital Nomad?

Here’s an easy-to-understand definition of a Digital Nomad:

Digital nomads are people who are location independent and travel the world full time while working remotely to earn a living.

They often work in coworking spaces, coffee shops, hotel rooms, or public libraries, relying on devices such as laptops, and smartphones with internet access.

Actually, anybody who can do their job with a laptop, a smartphone, and an internet connection can become a digital nomad.

In this post, I’m going to show you exactly how to become a digital nomad, the ways you can build skills, the best job and business you can do as a digital nomad, the best fully remote companies for digital nomad jobs, the best places to visit as a beginner digital nomad, and much more.

The way of becoming a digital nomad isn’t the same for everyone. Everyone has different passions, skills, and professions.

So, there isn’t one specific blueprint for everyone to follow.

But there are some steps you can follow to become a digital nomad if you are just passionate about becoming a digital nomad.

You need some high-paying skills, a remote job or an online business, a little bit of confidence, and a destination with a reliable internet connection.

Learn Required Skills

Google and YouTube and relevant blogs are the best teachers out there.

But it’s not easy for everyone to learn from these free resources because educational resources from those platforms are not organized and straightforward.

So, you can use online courses to learn the required skills.

Here are the best places to educate yourself and build skills:

How Digital Nomads Make Money While Traveling The World?

There are many ways you can make money while traveling the world as a digital nomad.

You can make money doing freelance jobs and remote jobs for companies.

Also, you can build a passive income generating business to make money while traveling or even sleeping too!

Here are three types of jobs and businesses digital nomads do while traveling the world.

1. Start Your Own Business

You can start a blog, podcast, or YouTube channel to document your nomadic life and share your experience.

The best part is,

By doing these, you can build a passive income-generating business that makes money while you travel.

Also, you can start other passive income-generating businesses to make your digital nomad life easier. Because having passive income streams means true financial freedom.

Check out this post to get some genuine passive income ideas and to learn more about passive income.

2. Freelancing

Freelancing isn’t a passive income-generating business, but it’s one of the best ways to make instant active income as a digital nomad.

In freelancing, you have to sell your services to earn money. If you have a high-paying skill, you can make massive money by doing freelance jobs.

For example,

If you are a graphic designer, you can sell your graphic design services. You can design logos, banners, flyers, illustrations, etc.

The best place to sell your graphic design service is 99Designs. It’s the only design-specific freelance marketplace available on the market.

You can be a freelance writer, photographer, virtual assistant, digital marketer, and the list goes on.

If you’re a beginner, I suggest you start your freelance career on Fiverr because it’s user-friendly and beginner-friendly.

Also, you can use Upwork, Freelancer, Guru.com, Facebook groups, and other social media platforms to get more clients.

3. Get a Remote Job

The difference between remote jobs and freelance jobs is remote jobs mean you’re a full-time or part-time employee at an organization or a company, while freelance jobs end once the project is over. In both cases, your presence isn’t required at the office.

Remote jobs are better than freelance jobs because sometimes it’s hard to get clients as a freelancer and remote jobs make your digital nomad life more secure.

If you have the required skills and degrees, you can quickly get a remote job and work from anywhere.

You can be a web developer, app developer, growth hacker, marketing specialist, graphic designer, software engineer, and the list goes on.

Some well-known companies offer flexible remote jobs for digital nomads. Some of them are:

Online job boards such as We Work Remotely, RemoteOK, and Remote.co are some of the great places to find flexible part-time jobs or full-time remote jobs. Or, if you’re looking for something more specific, here’s a good site for remote SQL jobs.

Also, the power of networking is huge. LinkedIn is a great place to apply for jobs. Also, it’s a great platform where you can showcase your experience and skills and network with other professionals.

You can directly approach a company for a remote job. Choose a remote-friendly company, let them know who you are and how the company can benefit from your skills, and ask if they have any positions available.

Become a Digital Nomad - Boost Your Confidence

Reduce Obstacles, Boost Your Confidence, and Get Inspired!

Get rid of debt, save money, build your own business, or get a remote job and reduce other obstacles.

Educate yourself, motivate yourself, and boost your confidence by reading relevant blogs and books. Also, listen to podcasts and watch travel videos.

Nomadic Matt, Digital Nomad Soul, Hobo with a Laptop, Making It Anywhere, and Wandering Earl are some of my favorite digital nomad blogs which you can follow to learn more about the digital nomad lifestyle.

Some digital nomad books I recommend are:

How to Travel the World on $50 a Day by Matt KepnesThe 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich by Tim FerrisVagabonding: An Uncommon Guide to the Art of Long-Term World Travel by Rolf PottsTravel While You Work: The Ultimate Guide to Running a Business from Anywhere by Mish Slade

Also, you should read two of my favorite books, ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad‘ by Robert Kiyosaki and ‘Crushing It‘ by Gary Vaynerchuk, to learn more about income streams, new-age business strategies, and achieving financial independence.

You can join digital nomad communities such as Couchsurfing, Nomad List, and Facebook Groups to get support and to meet more digital nomads.

Get Digital Nomad Insurance

It’s essential for remote workers and digital nomads to have international health insurance and travel insurance.

SafetyWing is a travel medical insurance that was created by nomads for nomads. You can purchase a policy even if your trip has already started. You can pause and resume coverage with flexibility. 185 countries are covered and you don’t need to let them know about your itinerary in advance. Perfect for people like me who don’t know where they’ll be next month! Check out their website at SafetyWing.com.

Get International Internet Connection

As digital nomads often work online, a reliable, fast, and secure internet connection is a must for digital nomads.

Although you will find WIFI in most places today, it’s always a good idea to have a backup plan, like a mobile hotspot. Your smartphone hotspot can help you, but you have to buy a new SIM card whenever you travel internationally.

Skyroam Hotspot WiFi for digital nomads

So, I recommend Skyroam; it is a global hotspot, which means you don’t have to buy a new SIM card everywhere you go. Inuidea readers get an exclusive discount with promo code INUETC.

Choose a Destination and Go!

If you’re a beginner digital nomad and still learning how to become a digital nomad, I suggest you go to a popular as well as beginner-friendly digital nomad destination.

It’s obvious that you want a place with a lower cost of living with a higher quality of life. But more than that, you want to meet other digital nomads to make your digital nomad life easier.

How to Build a Career as an SEO Freelancer in 2024

Every newbie and student must be aware of this. SEO, copywriting, and digital marketing are some of the most sought-after skills.

As per LinkedIn’s 2020 Workplace Learning Report: analytics reasoning, affiliate marketing, and video production were among the top 10 most in-demand hard skills. And SEO – well, it remained one of the top professional skills employers sought after.

Undoubtedly, SEO is one of the hottest, most alluring, and trending industries, and it´s a true opportunity for the creative guy and research buddy who adores continuously increasing his knowledge and keeping himself updated. Some SEO consultants like mine didn’t plan to commit their careers to SEO but started completely by accident.

So today, I’m going to share with you some tips and strategies that will support an awesome SEO career and add lots of value to growing your SEO career in the industry.

A Successful SEO Freelancing Journey Requires Consistency

We get to a remarkable discovery that had significant impacts and influences on many gurus who started their SEO freelancer or consulting business. You´ve probably heard about it or read about it many times before – it is the notion of consistency.

Every business is adapting to a digital transformation, and their owners want to strengthen their SEO, social media marketing, and branding efforts. Indeed, they want a digital marketing freelancer or consultant to drive the campaign in the right direction.

As a freelance SEO, you simply need to show the right approach and skills on how to market your clients’ businesses.

Every profession demands the fullest commitment, passion, and heart to get success.

Right?

What’s more exciting about SEO is that it never gets boring, and there are always new things to test and more to discover.

At times, it can be a slow success in some client cases, taking months, if not years, to fluctuate (upwards) the traffic and rankings. Without passion and consistency, the freelancing journey can’t be that fun and game you thought it was.

Don’t be a freelancer who commits a misstep – neglects this critical aspect and starts to lose that passion pretty soon.

Skills are important, but passion will make you stand in front of competitors.

Think of SEO Career Route

When pursuing a career in SEO, you need to keep in mind that there are different career options for you to choose from.

While you’re thinking of building a career in SEO, do you want to act like a freelancer? Do you want to join an SEO agency for industry experience? What’s your mindset?

Working as a freelancer simply means you’re deciding to work for yourself from the luxury and comfort of your home. You’ve a complete choice of how you want to shape your career and what kind of clients you would want to work for.Another option is to work at an SEO agency and gain live SEO experience under the guidance of an SEO project manager. You’ll likely be assisting your project manager in building and managing SEO projects, link building, analytics reporting, and various other tasks for their numerous clients. The last option is – you can join in-house for an organization in the industry you are passionate about.Gain Enough Knowledge and Live Experience

To refine your SEO knowledge and expertise, read wide.

If you are really interested to build your specialties in technical SEO, look for blog posts, white papers, and research about website UI/UX, architecture, navigation, measuring website speed, SEO checklist, and everything else related to that, including structured data mark-up.

MOZ, HubSpot, SEO by the Sea, and Search Engine Land are all great resources to learn all things SEO.

Luckily, there are tons of materials available everywhere on the net, and there are places you can take free training.

Google Search Central Blog is the place where you can read official Google core algorithm updates, upcoming news about the latest Google search features, and the best recommendations for SEO.Search Engine Journal covers a wide range of news, insights, and guides for the SEOs and search marketers related to SEO, PPC, content marketing, and social media marketing.Backlinko – Brian Dean is the guy, and Backlinko is the blog to look for next-level SEO training and link-building strategies for beginners, marketers, and business owners.Yoast SEO Blog – Yoast SEO experts share the useful and actionable insights you need to know about WordPress and technical SEO.The SEMrush blog covers a bunch of topics related to keyword analysis, On-Page SEO, content marketing, and content audit.

What you should avoid doing is becoming a textbook case. Don’t just read. Practice what you read and learn from your mistakes or success.

Apart from Technical SEO, learn:

HTML and CSSCopywriting and blogging skillsDesign skills (at least, you should be PRO with design applications like Canva or Visme)Hands-on knowledge of Search AlgorithmsMust be PRO with using SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMRush, and Majestic SEO.Data analysisGoogle penalties and recoveryKeyword researchAdvanced methods of link building, andReporting segment.

Generally speaking, there are two ways to acquire knowledge:

The first one is by paying how to learn it, by investing time and money in courses, training, programs, book, and systems. The second one is to learn everything by yourself through research, but I doubt that you´ll be able to figure out everything by yourself.

The latter option will cost you multiple times more time than the former one, more nerves, and more headaches, and I don´t think you´ll be able to learn everything through free content on the web.

Be Goal Focused

Always have a plan for performing SEO, and do not fall into the rut of having a common strategy for everything. You will need to plan according to what works best for a particular website. At the same time, do not divulge all your secrets to your potential employers, even if they really end up hiring you. Some tricks should not be let out into the open if you want to keep your significance.

While many business owners and brands would be willing to hire you to handle their SEO, many are still lacking knowledge of how SEO and search engines work. They don’t know about the priorities, and they just want results. Being able to prove ROI to companies or your clients is essential to an ongoing business relationship.

Therefore, your SEO strategy should cover visibility, traffic, and ROI as the essential goals of the campaign.

Include critical SEO KPIs into your SEO reports and help your manager/Client understand their impact on the overall growth and success of marketing. It can be difficult to make them understand the data, but using Google Analytics and Data Studio would allow you to visually represent the data so that they can monitor it easily.

Timely Execution

The website’s complexity of what’s doable should not degrade the focus of an SEO marketing program. A big part of an SEO consultant’s job is to analyze crawling and SEO issues, research competitors, extract insights, and present recommendations in a way that balances options with priorities.

Prioritization is the key factor in the overall success of any marketing campaign. The development team should take this as a positive note that SEO recommendations can have the most consequence (short and long term), and of course, are good guidelines to go by.

Keep Working on Your Strength

Even though it looks like there is a single discipline, there are tons of areas you can specialize if you are in the industry.

For example, let’s say you want to be a link builder, you may want to be an outreach specialist, or you may want to be a specialist in prospecting.

Once you know what you love doing, spend more time getting better at it. This does not mean you should not spend time improving your weaknesses. Hardly have I seen an SEO who doesn’t know how to do almost all the moving parts of the SEO process, but as you grow and probably join a bigger team, your strength will set you apart.

Keep Testing and Experimenting with Your SEO Knowledge

So you think you know ins-and-outs of SEO? Let’s go ahead and put that knowledge to the test.

SEO is no longer a traditional keyword-oriented model, and it takes so much to cover a full-blown SEO campaign as Google keeps altering its ranking algorithm.

If you have innovative approaches for SEO, you can do so by testing your ideas on a testing website before you execute them on your clients’ websites. SEO has always been about small experiments and taking the resulting data to better strategizes the next experiments.

Be your own first client. Run a blog and grow it using all the techniques you are learning.

Work on Your Personal Branding

Personal branding for freelancers is all about finding out who you are and crafting your career around the true you. It’s also about constantly improving your online reputation.

As I discussed above, run a blog or a portfolio website.

When applying to SEO jobs on Upwork, Fiverr, or Freelancer, it is a standard practice to add in your primary website if you have one, as well as include previous websites you have worked on or even current blogs and affiliates sites you might run at present.

Your experience is, of course, the key selling point so take your time over it. You want to clearly state your experience in each area of SEO in separate paragraphs. Be brief but include all relevant information such as “SEO campaign manager for two years.”

A portfolio is perhaps the single most important item to have in place when trying to apply for an SEO job. Your portfolio should show all your professional qualifications and all the sites you have done previous SEO work for, and the successes you have had. Given the nature of the SEO market, having this online is incredibly beneficial.

Your social media personal profiles should be a snapshot of your expertise. If you’re looking for the attention of top-notch SEO agencies and SAAS brands for new SEO collaboration and no one is contacting you, start editing your profile regularly until you’ve got success.

Final Thoughts – How to Build a Career as an SEO Freelancer in 2024

SEO as a freelancing career is one of the skills that are not likely to evaporate anytime soon. As long as search engines exist and people use them to find information online, their job role will continue to exist. Provided you produce a good ROI, communicate effectively, and meet timely delivery, you’ll find more freedom, better work-life balance, and no more 9-to-5.

Now It’s Your Turn!

Learn SEO: 16 Awesome Ways To Learn SEO In 2024

SEO is the new hot topic on the internet. People either want to become an SEO expert or they want to leverage SEO for growing the organic traffic on their site.

So, if you want to learn SEO and help others in growing their business then you have come to the right place.

In this blog post, I’ll be sharing with you 16 awesome ways by which you can learn SEO.  So, without further ado, let’s begin.

1. Start your own blog

Hands down, one of the best ways to learn SEO is by starting your own blog and learning from your own experiences. Initially, when you start your blog, you won’t know much about SEO.

But as you move ahead in your journey, you’ll get to know about how to optimize web pages, posts, and other sections of the website.

In fact, I personally learned SEO by starting my own blog.

Apart from SEO, blogging can also help you learn email marketing, social media marketing, content writing, and much more.

Moreover, a blog can also help you earn money online, live a boss-free life, working from anywhere, and travel the world while earning money.

2.  Enroll in paid SEO courses

You can also enroll in paid digital marketing or SEO courses to learn A-Z of search engine optimizations. Today, there are tons of institutes offering SEO and digital marketing courses in Mumbai

The best thing about these courses is that they give you 100% practical training, digital marketing certificates, placement assistance, and internship opportunities.

Courses will also take you through various digital marketing and SEO tools. In fact, many digital marketing courses are available in the online mode of training.

Hence, you can learn or watch their lectures from anywhere at any time.

You just need to enroll in the best digital marketing courses that are suitable for you and kick-start your journey.

3. Read SEO books

Courses will cost a handsome amount of money. So, if budget and capital is your main constraint then books can be the alternative.

In fact, I personally started my SEO journey by reading books. I know books won’t give you any practical knowledge but they are more than enough to build your foundation.

Later on, you think of starting your own blog and implementing all your learnings from the book. In this way, you can learn about SEO at the lowest cost possible.

You can search for digital marketing books on Amazon or any other e-commerce website.

I would also recommend you to buy an updated book because SEO is dynamic in nature. Sometimes the algorithm changes, ranking factor changes, or anything other. Hence, it is very important to learn the latest and relevant things.

So you must buy an updated book to learn the latest techniques, strategies, and trends happening in the world of SEO.

4. Read SEO blogs

If you want to learn SEO for FREE, then blogs are the best resources out there in the market. There are tons of internet marketing blogs available on the internet. You need to select and bookmark a few of them and start reading them daily.

Reading blogs will not only help you in learning SEO but it will also keep updated on the latest happenings in the world of online marketing.

Blogs will also help you in improving your vocabulary, copywriting, and content writing skills.

Following are the best SEO blogs that you can follow:

Moz BlogAhref BlogBacklinko5. Watch videos on YouTube

Did you know?

500 hours of videos are uploaded on YouTube every day. Most of these videos are related to learning and development.

So, if you are truly serious about learning SEO, then YouTube is the place to be. On YouTube, you’ll find tons of channels that are solely into SEO. And trust me, if you follow those channel and watch their videos for a month or a two then no can stop you from becoming an SEO expert.

Also, watching videos on YouTube won’t cost you anything.

So, go to YouTube and just type “SEO” in the search box. Within seconds, you’ll come across thousands of high-quality lectures and videos.

6. Do an internship

Another way by which you can learn about SEO is by doing an internship in a reputed SEO or digital marketing company.

I personally did an internship in an SEO agency and got to learn about advanced topics and concepts in SEO. I was in direct contact with the SEO analyst and managers who guided me throughout my internship period.

Overall, it was a good learning outcome for me.

While doing an internship, you’ll get to know about SEO in a 100% practical manner. You’ll also be working on many live projects and assignments which will help you in understanding how the SEO or digital marketing industry works.

If you are serious about making your career in SEO, you must do an SEO internship. There are many reputed and award-winning SEO companies across the world. You need to select a few companies and apply for the internship.

I would say, even if it is a non-paid internship, you should go for it.

SEO internship will help you understand how the online marketing ecosystem works. It would also help you in getting hands-on experience.

You can also look for internship opportunities on:

LinkedIn.Indeed.comMonster.com and many other job portals.7. Follow influencers on social media

Another great way to learn about SEO is by following SEO experts on their social media accounts. These experts constantly keep on sharing valuable resources on their social media profiles which can be very useful for you.

Sometimes they share a new blog post, video, ebook, or anything else that adds value to their followers.

Hence, you can take up this opportunity to learn SEO and start following various SEO experts on YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.

I am personally following all the top SEO experts on social media.

8. List to an SEO podcast

144 million Americans listen to podcasts. This clearly means the podcast is the next big thing. People all across the globe are listening to podcasts for a variety of reasons but especially for learning, motivation, and self-development.

Hence, if you are serious about learning SEO then even you can start listening to various marketing podcasts out there on the internet. The best thing about a podcast is that you can listen to them while traveling, working out, or even doing your day job.

There are a bunch of SEO podcasts available on Podbean and Spotify.

Just download the app and search for SEO podcast.

9.   Watch webinars

Now here comes my personal favorite resource to learn about anything, especially in SEO or digital marketing i.e. Webinars.

Webinars work like charm and they are even better when they are conducted by an expert or an authoritative person from the industry.

The good thing about the SEO webinar is that you get to learn advanced topics that might have never heard of. Another benefit of watching webinars is that they contain PPTs which makes learning more fun and easy.

10.  Get enrolled in free certification courses

Hey!

If you don’t have enough cash to enroll in paid SEO courses, then you can also enroll in free online SEO courses. I know the fact that free courses won’t add much value but they would surely help you in building your basics.

Many free SEO certifications courses are being offered by bloggers and pro digital marketers. You can subscribe to their courses and kick start your SEO journey.

You can also subscribe to the newsletters of SEO bloggers and get valuable insights from them as well.

Udemy is also a great place where you’ll find tons of FREE SEO courses.

11. Google digital unlocked

When it comes to learning SEO, how can we forget Google?

Google has taken an initiative to spread the knowledge of digital and online marketing by creating a platform called Google Digital Unlocked. This is a free platform where anyone can learn about SEO, SEM, SMM, and how to grow a business by leveraging online medium as a tool and more.

At Google Digital Unlocked, you’ll learn the following things:

SEO.Search ads.Email marketing.Google analytics.Social media marketing.Advertising on websites.Content marketing and more.

The best thing about this program is that it is completely free of cost and each module is taught by an expert trainer from Google.

12. SEO seminars and conferences

Another great way to learn SEO is by attending worldwide seminars and conferences about SEO and digital marketing. Industry experts, professionals, bloggers, and many marketers come and share their knowledge with others in seminars and conferences.

This is slightly a costly approach to learn SEO but it will be worth it to spend some money to attend these seminars.

Another good thing about these seminars is the number of networking opportunities that you get is amazing.

You get to meet like-minded people and many other industry professionals with years of experience in SEO and the digital domain.

13. Leverage LinkedIn learning

LinkedIn has come up with the LinkedIn Learning program, a website that offers courses in the field of digital marketing, designing, programming, and many more.

The good thing about this platform is that it has a wide range of course libraries to choose from. You can also enroll in these courses from your desktop computer or laptop.

Courses at LinkedIn learning are created by industry experts who are passionate about teaching.

So, head over to LinkedIn learning and hunt SEO courses right now.

14. Join Facebook groups

Facebook is not only for social networking. If it is used properly, then you can also learn something on Facebook. On Facebook, there is something called the Facebook group, which is nothing but a community of like-minded people.

If you are interested in learning SEO, then you can search for various SEO groups on Facebook and join them.

In these groups, you’ll be getting resources like video lectures, the latest blog posts, deals and discounts, access to various SEO tools, and much more.

15. Join SEO forums

Next to Facebook groups, you can also join various SEO forums on the internet. The majority of the SEO forums are paid once but they are also free to join forums like Warrior Forum and Black Hat World.

These are the two best free forums for SEO and digital marketing.

On these forums, you can ask all your doubts and query regarding SEO or digital marketing. You’ll also be getting eBooks and other learning resources on these forums.

Getting exciting deals and discounts are other perks for joining these forums.

16. Try your hands on freelancing

Once you have built your strong foundations then you can try your hands at freelancing. You take up multiple freelancing projects from the domain of SEO and try to complete them.

If you give value to the clients, then you’ll be paid a handsome amount of money. This will also boost your confidence and later on, you can also start your own SEO agency.

There are tons of freelancing websites on the internet where you can create your profile and portfolio and bid for projects.

I would suggest you try to grab international clients as their purchasing power is more and they would also pay you good cash.

21 quotes from my new book – Ups and Downs

‘Ups and Downs’ is a compilation of my best articles on life, mental health, self-love, success, and travel, basically my thoughts and experiences. You can learn a lot from it, just as I myself have learned a lot from my mistakes, my work experiences, and my travel experiences. This book contains all my ups and downs, from the worst to the best moments of my life.

This book will inspire aspiring mountaineers, inspire people to travel the world and motivate them to work on their craft to become financially independent. It will help you understand how to find or build your passion, work smart, earn passively, do what you love, and motivate you to live life on your terms.

Here are 21 best quotes from my new book – Ups and Downs.

1. Life’s better without unwanted noise, confusion, and toxic people. Beware of red flags at all costs. Help people, but always maintain a safe distance. – Inu Etc

8. People with toxic mindsets will only see toxic content on social media because the algorithm wants to satisfy their toxic minds with more toxicity. – Inu Etc

My unforgettable trek to Tumjang Peak (Mt. Sielkal Peak) in the Borail Range, Assam

The Borail Range is the highest mountain range in Assam. The Mt. Sielkal Peak (Tumjang Peak) is one of the highest (1,866m) in the Borail Range.

18 December 2023.

My cousin, Nasir, messaged me on WhatsApp, sharing the location of Tumjang Peak and he just casually asked me about the place.

It has always been a dream of mine to trek to this peak, so I told him, “Let’s go, bro”.

A girl named Boicy, who works near Nasir’s home as a teacher, is originally from Kholjang Village, in Dima Hasao District, Assam, the same district where Tumjang Peak is located.

I invited Ariful, my friend and co-founder of Hostneur, to join me on the trip, while Boicy decided to bring her brother, Thangboi, along. As a result, our Tumjang Peak Trek group expanded to five people.

26 December 2023

At midnight, Nasir, Ariful, and I took the train (Silchar Express) from Guwahati Railway Station (GHY) to Mahur Railway Station (MXR)

27 December 2023

After a 7-hour-long train journey, we reached Mahur Railway Station in the morning. We were amazed by the beauty of this small station surrounded by hills. Afterward, we walked to Mahur Market, where Boicy and her brother picked us up, and then we headed to the Tumjang Peak Trek starting point.

We started hiking at 10 AM, saw lots of beautiful views, took pictures, and reached the peak around 1 PM. At the peak, we spent some time. It was a wonderful feeling.

Around 4 PM, we descended to the starting point and after that, we went to Boicy’s home to spend the night.

Staying in her home allowed me to immerse myself in the rich culture of the Kuki people.

The genuine kindness, exceptional hospitality, and warm welcome made me feel like a local even though I was in a completely new place surrounded by unfamiliar faces.

It was a unique and heartwarming encounter that I’ll cherish forever.

28 December 2023

After breakfast, we walked to the station and took the Guwahati Express at 11 AM. We found a cute kitty on the train and Ariful decided to adopt it immediately. In the evening, we reached Guwahati.

It was a short trip to Tumjang Peak, but it was an unforgettable one. I made new friends and my bond with my existing friends got stronger. We had a lot of fun, we laughed a lot, and we made many memories.

9 Best Marketing Tools to Leverage for Your Business Growth

Every business works on a different model, and hence they face unique challenges when it comes to marketing their products or services. Businesses seek the right product to fit their target audience. They deal with constant clearing of the clutter and making their brands audible to the right prospects. They struggle with creating brand messaging that resonates with the needs and wants of their customers.

A business’s success depends entirely on how effective its marketing is, no matter how good the use cases of its products or services are. Making marketing work in favor of brands is not just the work of a skilled team; marketing tools also play a great role in it.

In this blog, we will cover some of the best marketing tools available on the market that you can use for your business growth.

What are Marketing Tools?

A marketing tool could be software or a web application hosted on the cloud. Like the definition of a tool, they are built to solve a problem, and they are built to help you carry out a task. It could be the creation of marketing content, or it could be the automation of your email marketing or any marketing requirement across channels.

How to Choose a Marketing Tool?

This question haunts most of the marketers. The moment you type ‘Top marketing tools for social media scheduling’ on Google, you will get hundreds of suggestions and hundreds of tools out there in the market. But how do you choose the one that is best for your business? Here are a few tips that can help you with it:

Evaluate the pricing of the tool to see what ROI it can provide.Choose the plan that best meets the size of your team and the traffic of your business.Always check for the ratings and reviews the tool has received on the internet.Browse through the case studies available on the tool’s website, and try finding a match with your business and how the tool can help.If it is a paid tool, always ask for a demo or use their free trial.Check the clients or organizations that are using the tool and see if they match the industry or the scaling needs of your business. The customer support that the tool offers is another deal-breaker. See what modes of support they provide, like a knowledge base, chat support, email support, phone support, or, best of all, if they provide a dedicated account manager.

Now, let’s look at some of the prominent marketing tools that are available on the market.

9 Best Marketing Tools to Leverage for Your Business Growth1. SEMrush

SEMrush is primarily a marketing tool that helps businesses make their SEO efforts more efficient. The tool can also be used for deriving insights to run a PPC campaign. The tool also has a content strategy, which can make your content SEO-optimized and give suggestions for content based on the activity of competitors.

The keyword suggestion feature of SEMrush is considered to be one of the best in the industry. The SEMrush tool also has a backlink analysis feature that suggests backlinking opportunities and tracks every single backlink to the website. For paid marketers in your organization, SEMrush suggests the keywords to bid on and what keywords are already being targeted by your competitors.

2. Mailchimp

Mailchimp is the most popular email marketing tool among small businesses. It enables businesses to create engaging emails with the help of templates and features to add images or videos. The tool also allows marketers to segment their mailing list based on many filters that are available inside the tool, like people who have opened the last 5 emails, people who have opened the last email twice, and many more like this.

Also, Mailchimp offers flexibility to set up email automation based on the customer journey. For example, you can send an email to a customer who has just subscribed to the mailing list, or you can send an email for the purchase of an item abandoned in the cart.

3. Google Analytics

Google Analytics is by far the best free online marketing tool to analyze and track the traffic to your website or application. The insights that you will derive from Google Analytics can help you refine and tune your marketing strategies. It provides you with real-time data on your website visitors. Also, it has a geo-tracking feature, which can help businesses that have target audiences spread across the globe.

Google Analytics helps you figure out what amount of traffic is coming from which channel, like paid, organic social, organic search, direct, or referral. With the help of the UTM URL builder, you can also define different sources of traffic, which will be reflected in Google Analytics.

Moreover, Google Analytics also helps marketers derive insights about their business traffic based on demographics, interests, and behavior. E-commerce businesses can also set goals for the tool that can track all monetary transactions on the site with proper tracking on Google Analytics.

4. Hotjar

Hotjar is a marketing tool that helps track the user behavior of your website visitors through heatmaps and session recordings. It is built around the concept of CRO, which is conversion rate optimization. The majority of businesses use Hotjar on their landing page design to analyze what parts of the pages attract the most attention from visitors.

Additionally, Hotjar also enables businesses to take feedback from visitors through polls and surveys. The heatmaps recorded from it are efficient in determining drop-offs of visitors, based on which changes can be made to make the site pages more engaging.

5. Canva

Until businesses thrive and push boundaries, marketers will always need graphic or visual material to promote their products or services. Canva enables marketers to easily create graphic material for promotion. It is a DIY tool that, unlike Adobe Photoshop, doesn’t require deep expertise in designing. Marketers can create social media banners, flyers, presentations, documents, and any custom design on Canva with ease.

Most of the features of Canva are free to use, but if marketers want to use particular graphic templates or superior designs, then they can opt for their PRO membership. The usability of Canva is so high and relevant that every marketer should know how to use it.

6. Google Trends

Google Trends is a very small but very effective tool. It helps you track what is trending related to your business and in general. Social media marketers can use this tool to derive insights for their upcoming viral posts. Businesses can also analyze if their keywords are being searched or entered into Google for any particular geography or across the world. Google Trends also enables businesses to monitor the search activity of their competitors’ keywords.

The data visualization dashboard of Google Trends is very easy to monitor and derive insights from. It is a great tool if you want to stay updated and ahead of your competitors. Not many businesses use this powerful tool regularly, but that doesn’t decrease its effectiveness.

7. BuzzSumo

BuzzSumo is a content marketing tool that helps you analyze the content available on the internet on any particular topic. Once marketers have an industry and niche defined, they can search for content suggestions to further refine their content marketing strategy. It also assists marketers in analyzing the social activities of competitors. They can search for content available on a particular domain, which could be their competitor or any other source of content inspiration.

BuzzSumo also has a feature that helps find the best influencers for their business. It lists the key websites that are leading in or out of a particular website, which can help marketers scout for backlinking opportunities.

8. Buffer

If there is one marketing activity that is necessary for all businesses, then it has to be social media marketing. Buffer is one of the market leaders in social media management tools. The very basic necessity of social media scheduling is taken care of by Buffer. But it is more than that. It enables marketers to track all engagement and interactions received on several social media platforms right from the comfort of one dashboard.

Buffer also helps you with hashtag management. It has an in-built AI tool that can create captions for posts in a matter of seconds. Also, the tool has a powerful analytics dashboard that can assist you in creating social media reports at your fingertips. The best thing about Buffer is that it covers all leading social media platforms.

9. LinkedIn Sales Navigator

Every B2B marketer faces the critical problem of lead generation. Most of them resort to LinkedIn and engage in the practice of sending connection requests to prospects in hopes of sparking a conversation about their product or service. For such marketers, the LinkedIn Sales Navigator is right there. The tool assists marketers in segregating LinkedIn accounts with the most potential for their business.

The tool also leverages your network and keeps you updated about any changes in the profiles of the prospects you are interested in. LinkedIn Sales Navigator can also be integrated with leading CRM or sales tools to streamline the sales process.

Final Thoughts: 9 Best Marketing Tools to Leverage for Your Business Growth

In this blog, we touched on some of the leading marketing tools available in their vertical. Each one of them has their own unique strengths that make them stand out from their competitors. The marketing space is always evolving, and technology is always in the mode of improvisation. Hence, marketers need to be updated and equipped with the right tools. There is absolutely no fixed pattern that a marketer can follow, but with constant learning, they can master the art of using these tools in the best way possible.

The driving force behind every marketer has always been the growth of the business and ROI, which play a great role when it comes to the usage of marketing tools.
