Direct-Indirect...

other feeling. Case in point…

Direct Version:
"Will you please stop trying to kill me?"
"No!"

Indirect Version:
"Will you please stop trying to kill me?"
"I couldn't if I tried," he smiled, holding a knife in one hand and a bunch of flowers in the other.
...
"What are the flowers for?!" his victim demanded, aghast.
"Your funeral," replied the killer as they drove a knife in to the beat of the victim's favourite music playing in the background.
The last thing the victim heard…
The end… For one of them anyway.

Problem-Children...

So the new neighbours brought with them a really noisy little boy who cries like the world is on fire simply because he's in the mood for another tantrum. He runs from one room to the next in, what I assume, is a desperate attempt to escape his parents. When he finally goes silent, I refuse to be judged for thinking, "Thank heavens, they finally caught the little bugger and knocked him unconscious." There are two of them now, the musician on the right and the vocalist upstairs.

Sound...

Words are made of sounds.

Writing is made of words combined to make stories.

Music is made of tones combined to make notes.

The heart of all Magic is Resonance.

Patience...

Patience is a virtue.
Only being patient is a vice.

Reincarnation...

If being born obviously means being alive... If by the sheer act of breathing, we are aware that someday we will breathe our last... Then it isn't far-fetched to believe that life leads to death.

Since death waits at the end of each life, then each death must in turn inspire new life.
Hence, Reincarnation.

No two people are exactly the same. Since that applies physically, then their souls must certainly boast a level of unique complexity that is certifiably one-of-a-kind.
Hence, Reincarnation.

Why does this one like this thing while that one likes another? Why does this one choose this deed while another opts for an alternative? What's fate got to do with it all?

All roads don't lead to Rome.
Most hidden ones lead to Reincarnation.

Practice...

It's a tad uncomfortable to realize that an architecture firm is – much like a doctor's clinic – referred to as a "practice". It is unnerving to understand that the people building the roof over your head are, to all intents and purposes…"practicing".

Pursuit...

If one wishes to pursue perfection, one must be ready to lean into loneliness.

Monsters...

Technically the monsters from the "Monsters, Inc." cartoons and "Monsters At Work" series really do live up to the name. They wake kids up from their otherwise healthy slumber and practically force laughter from them, which they then store in batteries for 'energy' use in their own world. Aside from the distinct child labour angle, the beasts probably use a sugar-rush dose to get the kids to giggle or laugh. Because only rarely do little children focus on a 'funny monster' let alone laugh at it when in fact they are tired and sleeping. So are these animated monstrosities injecting kids with a sugar rush formula and forcing them to 'work' all so the beasts can profit from enough energy via their itty-bitty laughter? No wonder they're called 'Monsters'! I meant the creatures, not the kids.

Sologamy...

Whoever said one woman doesn't have the power to destroy a million hopes and dreams did not hear about the 'super-heroine' Gujarat girl who had India's first-ever 'Sologamy' – married to one's self in a bond of self-acceptance. She literally soloed the destruction of thousands of eager 'matchmaking mothers' looking to get their sons or daughters married off. I offer my sincerest gratitude to this brave young woman for giving me the best 'threat idea' ever. "Mommmmm, don't make me get a sologamy!" Bwhahaha! Imagining the looks on the faces of some people who are already wed and wondering, 'Danggit! Why didn't she do this before I tied the knot?!'

Foot Nails...

Found a new 'evolutionary' use for the nails on our feet. In climate-change induced summers, just pop a foot out into the sweltering heat, pull it back into the room after a few seconds, place the nails against the back of your calves and feel the temperature before promptly saying, "Ow, it's hell out there, the devil has come to town, I am NOT stepping out of this AC room for my life!"
