Money, Money...

The idea of being too late to do something is often misunderstood. It's not that people are late to the party when it comes to doing something they need or love, or can't because of the cards they're dealt. It all boils down to how much money they have in order to realize their goals and dreams within a period of time. No matter where you turn in life, someone always has to pay, no matter if that someone is you or another someone who sees something in you. Whether or not we accept it, money does make the world go round. There are entire movies, businesses, careers, brands, and legacies being threatened with extinction because someone somewhere didn't receive a few extra bucks in their bank account.

Healing...

Time does not heal all wounds. Time will only have taught us to understand and accept the harm, and whatever or whomever caused it in the first place.

Respect...

Not everyone deserves respect. Not everyone has truly earned it. To give respect where it is not due is akin to pouring water in the bathroom sink and wishing a tree would grow.

Horror Movies...

Horror movies don’t traumatize children. They’re surprisingly valid 'training videos’ for the real horrors that await them in the world growing up. Spoiler alert: people are the real monsters.

Garbage...

Garbage collectors are like doctors. You're anxious about making eye contact with them, you're more than willing to make small talk though, and all that until they reach out and clean up your mess.

Heatwave...

This is what happens when you put the Targaryens on the Iron Throne. All of Europe reels from a heatwave. If you can't stand the heat, don't vote for Dragons.

Climate Change...

It's strange and suspicious seeing the number of potholes being created in the city of Chennai. Wonder how many cubic tons of dam-water they plan to release later this year when they host their usual game of Jumanji – Climate Change Edition.

Counterintuitive...

Stories – in books, movies, shows, and plays – have a way of making so many of us feel more deeply about people than people themselves. The beautiful art, science, and craft that people discover or make are also often more inspiring and desirable than the people who found or made them.

Communism...

Some groups of people have a nice excuse for when someone demands fairness and equality for others. They just blacklist you as a communist. It isn't communism to demand a better life for those deprived of opportunities to gain it. It isn't communism to level the playing field where 'insiders' grow fat off ill-gotten advice while others lose everything they have by taking a desperate chance. It isn't communism to choose common human decency instead of lies, deception, corruption, and bureaucratic rot.

Meaning...
