Truth
Some truths don't set you free.

Fact of Life
The most inspiring moments happen in secret.
The most romantic lovers never date.
The strongest families don't share blood.
The best of friends are worlds apart.
The most memorable stories are never told.
And many of us are never where we truly belong.

Death
A woman is burying her husband. Family and friends have left, and she is stood by the grave alone, staring at the headstone and lost in memories.
A ragged old mystic stops by, catches her eye. From behind her veil, she sees the man paying his respects to her husband.
She doesn't want to ask but does anyway. "How am I to feel now that he's gone?"
To which the old mystic startles. He doesn't know what to say, but does anyway. "Think of it this way, my lady. He's gone to sleep here only to awaken somewhere else."
"But that would mean he's not dead!" says the widow, feeling terribly insulted.
A glint in his eye and a ghost of a smile on his face, the mystic replies, "That's why in some cultures people dance at funerals."
The widow doesn't know whether to feel terrified or relieved. But she never thinks of Death the same way again.

Sometimes all you need is a reality check from someone who cares, and a smack on the head when you over-sleep.

A monkey and a fish got bored and tired of living their own lives. They approached a wise serpent for advice. The snake was amused at their request. It took some time to craft a plan. Before long, the serpent asked the fish to climb and the monkey to swim.
Seeing that they were both in for an adventure, and facing a new chapter in their lives, the fish leaped out of the water just as the monkey dove into its depths.
The serpent, hissing with delight, captured the fish before it wriggled its way to the nearest tree. Swallowing the fish whole, the serpent next turned its attention to the monkey floundering in the water.
Stick to your strengths or they will be turned into your weaknesses.

The Red Leaf
I've been writing stories for a while now, taking the self-published route. With Amazon's KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing), it's made life a whole lot smoother for writers all over the world to showcase their work and see where it takes them.
I've recently unpublished all my work and am gonna re-upload them as 2nd edition E-Books. Here's the link to the first book being re-published.
