A Good Escapist Once Told Me...

When people ask you why you like English so much but not your native tongue… When they refuse to accept that you love both languages equally in your own way… I found it best to say:
“One language I was born into, the other I was drawn into.”
And if they attempt to press you any further, just get the heck out of dodge.

The Existence Paradox

Language is Mathematics that uses Words.
Mathematics is Language that uses Numbers.
Words have numerical value attributed to them – like in Arithmancy.
Numbers thus have inherent Linguistic meanings.
But, which came first?
Only when one of them initially exists can the other be inferred afterwards.
If they both exist simultaneously, neither will support the other and they will both cease to exist.
Until...One of them decides to exist first.

Paradox

You won’t at first believe that the word ‘Perspective’ can destroy nearly every Logic, and maddeningly so. The sky is up and the ground below, UNLESS you’re upside down. Red is red and white is white, UNLESS you’re blind at which point they can be either, even both. All life is dead because all life sooner or later dies. BUT that would also mean all death is alive. Because what is death if it doesn’t claim life, for which life must exist in order for death to claim it. ‘Perspective’ changes what is being observed, a concept that's at the heart of Quantum Science, where quite literally nothing is as it seems. Apparently, you exist because you don't exist. Therefore, because you are inexistent, you exist.

Pleasure & Pain

[Inter-dimensional phone rings]

“Hello, Universe? I’d like to talk to the manager, please.”

[A moment of silence]

“Manager here, what’s your query, Human?”

“Why is sex a pleasure and childbirth a pain?”

[Manager quits | Universe hangs up]

Smarter, But...

It’s as strange as it gets... How an evolved human brain has only encouraged us to destroy everything that helped us evolve in the first place. Morality, compassion, common sense… Just some of the many casualties of the brain-war that has seen the human race grow smarter, but no wiser.

Strength in the Small

A snake strikes in milliseconds.
One bullet ends a lifetime.
An invisible virus creates vast and visible destruction.
The smallest blade makes the sharpest cut.

Ignorance

Since the dawn of our species and society – perhaps even before then – one of several truths has stood the test of time. That remaining ignorant is one’s choice, and never one’s circumstance.

Fashion

How many people would actually dare go out in public, in broad daylight, to a place that has several other people, and not wear something appropriate to cover themselves up? No wonder fashion is considered to be empowering.

Human Nature

Human nature is strange… It creates trust, then keeps breaking it. It’s bizarre… You can’t have trust without involving people, but then again people are the real reason why that trust has been shattered. It’s ludicrous… You apparently can’t have a wedding without a honeymoon, but you can certainly have a honeymoon without a wedding.

Atlantis

What if the mystery behind Atlantis is much simpler than the theories about it? What if the ocean just gave off odourless and colourless – maybe even immeasurable with our current technology – hallucinogenic fumes in select places that made you think there was nothing there. So you carried on sailing the usual maritime routes with no clue that you might, just might, have passed the legendary City of Atlantis a hundred times in real life, and never knew that you did.
