Powercuts...

One climate-change-induced rain shower later, a transformer bursts outside, and the power goes. If this were Jurassic Park, the dinosaurs would have escaped and started eating everyone. Hey, EB, "Spare No Expense."

Zen...

Friend 1: "You should take life calm. Try a state of zen meditation."

Friend 2: "I'm already in a state of zen depression, thank you very much."

Types...

There are three distinct types of people in the world. Those who are moving on from something, those who are running away from something, and those who have given up and grown dead inside.

To Fight...

If we don't fight for what we have while we still have it, we will soon find ourselves in a position where we won't have anything left for which to fight.

Homeless...

There are homeless people in the world. But there are also people with homes who have lost their connection with family to such an extent that they each, though living under one roof, might as well be homeless. No one person can solely be blamed in such cases. It just happens to be one of those human moments when people lose something more precious than property, they lose each other.

Chance...

All of Life is a game of chance. Opportunities are dice that can determine success or failure, but guarantee neither.

Blind Duty...

Blind Duty – the act of following or believing something without truly understanding it, even after knowing full-well that it is not something that will make you happy. Blind Duty is no way to live. There has to be a reason that defines it, and a purpose that fuels it. Otherwise Blind Duty will become the death of us all, starting with our dreams.

Leads...

Familiarity leads to Curiosity, which inspires Understanding, and leads to Acceptance.

Lies...

The only time a lie is good is when you know, beyond a reasonable doubt, that you have to lie to protect either yourself or someone else from irreversible or irreparable harm – physical, mental, or emotional. At any other time outside of this 'survival framework', lies are just tools used by some people to enslave, misuse, or hurt other people – often for stupid, greedy, or petty reasons.

Pain...
