August 29, 2019

Thursday, 29th AUGUST -- Well, this is aggravating -- my post from yesterday -- Wednesday -- is no where to be seen. Anyone see it flying past your house? Maybe in the company with a yahoo from Facebook? I do miss reading all your comments. Oh well, moving forward, since there is absolutely no choice. I wonder if you can hire assassins for Facebook. But who to knock out? That's the problem --

Today is more stuff, lots of more stuff, enough to choke an elephant and given their size, I bet that'd be pretty tough.

To accomplish today: Savich interviewing EVIL -- it's getting there, still more work needed, still not quite the right tone. I really have to be in a snarky mood and what with all the STUFF today, it might happen.

I was thinking about what you could do today for your bod that you would WANT to do -- thinking, thinking, and I think I've got it. You're going to stand against the wall, back straight, and slowly, slowly, bend your right knee and lift it, perpendicular to the floor. Hold it, then slowly lower. Left leg. Do as many as you can. Talk about a quad burn. While you're holding the leg up, move your arms up and down against the wall, slowly, straight out -- Sound good?

August 27, 2019

Tuesday, 27th August -- How many of you have driven along the Hudson River up to and beyond West Point? If you have, tell me your very favorite place, okay? Going in early October -- so will see all the gorgeous leaves. Plus, there's always the chance, I understand, of a UFO sighting. Yep, that's the most popular place, I'm told -- Talk to me --
Work today, as well plus STUFF -- we all have gobs and mountains of stuff, seems sometimes to breed and multiply and we think we've got it under control, then WHAP -- more stuff to see to, to curse at, to shut a closet door on.
Wrote scene with evil/good yesterday -- do you know, I think it needs to be amped up, maybe more -- hmm -- I'm not certain but will work on it this morning. It's tough being evil -- well, we'll see, maybe not.
Everyone, lie on your back on the floor, one hand beneath your head. WAIT -- before you do that, bend your right knee and bring it into your chest, stretch, then do slow 12 leg lifts (now hand's supporting your head) Feel those abs, both ways. (You stretch your knees to your chest to get you loosened up.) And never, ever forget on pain on flabby muscles -- cardio. Bike? Walking a mile or two? Tread Mill? Your choice, the point is simply to move, move, move --

August 22, 2019

Thursday, 22nd August -- Lots of you are talking about a boy vs. a girl for Savich and Sherlock -- again, the books happen maybe once every two weeks or maybe 2 months -- so, gestation would be a problem, that is, keeping this time format, she would give birth in about 100 books. BUT, one of you gave me a great idea -- we'll see.
Today is a big fat work day then with lots of stuff outside the office, (well, my home, third floor), probably too much, but it'll get done.
DEADLOCK is coming right along, got more of the plot (well, one plot at least) worked out -- is it hairy --
Any more wild and crazy vacations before September? Or are you done for the year?
Let me whine, but only for a moment: It's going to be toooo warm here in Sausalito, at least for me. And given our geography with all the micro-climates, you drive 5 miles north and it's 15 degrees hotter and that's where I'm heading. All right, no more whining, it's tedious, isn't it, plus, you really don't care.
Today, I think most of you should be trotting around outside, early or after the sun sets -- but get out there and move, walk slow, fast, maybe run a bit -- always swinging your arms, and ALWAYS, SBB!

August 21, 2019

Wednesday, 21 August -- Really, I swear, none of the main characters in the FBI series will get killed off. Do Not Worry -- this is fiction, and that means I control the horizontal and the vertical and I would never never never do that, so please relax.
Another Savich kid? We'll see -- but you know, if there is another Savich kid, it'll be another boy. A little girl is cute, but it's not in the cards, sorry. As for a little boy, we'll see.

Mid-week, guys, and that means you cannot fall down on the job. The job? Yep, your exercise regimen -- Your body is your most important priority, right? Without your body you couldn't read the FBI series. Well, I doubt you could do much of anything without your body, except maybe hover around in the cosmos, SO -- make your one and only body healthy and fit and happy, do what you can, make it your daily goal to make stronger, more fit, most gorgeous -- You know what you have to do today --

August 20, 2019

Tuesday, 20th August -- What a fine day this will be. Lots and lots of writing, all day, actually, and that's sort of unusual for moi. Now, listen to me, I solemnly swear I will NEVER kill off a favorite character, especially an FBI agent in Savich's unit. Trust me. No, I was thinking about killing off two characters in DEADLOCK who could deserve it, but I came up with a twist so they survive -- and we've got a cute twist at the end with one of the characters and no, I'm not giving away any names.
August is spinning down, the mornings at 6:00 a.m. are dark and that's a huge bummer. Is it only two months out of 12 that we wake up with the sun in our faces? Evidently so, and that sucks a big one, which is why weekends are so vital -- sleeping until the sun is up and shining in your face.
Today, all of you 1) survive the heat 2) do cardio and abs and 3) accomplish something important and 4) have a taco

August 16, 2019

Friday, 16th August -- Yet again, here's Friday, right in our faces, and you want to hop and dance a bit (don't be carrying your coffee, all right?) A successful, fun week nearly gone, so make the most of it.
Did everyone sign up for newsletters? If no, don't delay another moment, get your beautiful selves to CatherineCoulter.com and SIGN UP -- also enjoy my wonderfully revamped web site -- does it ever look spiffy.

FACEBOOK: Yet again -- I had bunches of comments from you guys, nearly 200, if I remember correctly and didn't have time to read them all at one time. When I went back yesterday afternoon, THEY WERE GONE -- Facebook -- only 38 were left. They'd culled out the ones that what? They didn't like? They were too long? Too short? What are their frigging guidelines? My apologies to you and curses on Facebook's protocols, may they rot in the Sahara where it's really really hot.
Today, you're going to do lunges on the driveway with SBB -- they don't have have to be 30-foot lunges, but make them as long as you can -- excellent for balance, no matter your stride. this beautiful Friday evening, the perfect time to strut your stuff (or lunge your stuff)

August 15, 2019

Thursday, 15th August -- Today, BIG YEA, lunch at the HCF -- can't wait for the Avocado egg rolls and the hamburger sliders, with lots of dill pickles and French's mustard.
Thank you for all the absolutely splendid feedback on LABYRINTH -- your comments make my day, make me pump my fist and holler YEA. And I've asked many of you if I got you on Griffin's mystery -- haven't heard back from many of you -- so check in and let me know.
Today no gym -- but yes, of course 40 minutes cardio and believe it, that'll be tough. No A/C and cardio is tough even with fans on the face. All right, no more whining, I don't want the minions to catch wind of it, they'll send me warning letters, and those, let me tell you, shiver your timbers. After the warning letters? I do not want to find out.
As for all of you, if it's too hot to cardio inside, head out in the early morning or evening and check out the world and make your body happy as well -- Can't beat that combination --
I'm writing the first monthly newsletter in a long time, it'll go out tomorrow. Again, if you're not signed up, head to my new and improved and really superbly gorgeous and easy-to-navigate web site at CatherineCoulter.com

August 13, 2019

Tuesday, 13th August -- Oh what a gorgeous day here in Sausalito, will hit mid seventies, so Alexa tells me. Okay, a lot of you are asking about the football pool. I'll set out rules in a couple of weeks, right before the beginning of the new season, okay? I've watched only the Browns in pre-season -- they're really looking good, so wonderful to have them back in the winning mix -- we hope.
Wrote a new clue (poem) for DEADLOCK -- who's going to figure it out? Won't be hard when the ***** arrives at the door. No, I'm not going to tell you what ***** is. You've got to wait, goodness, a year --
Today after Cardio, I'm meeting with some authors, planning a party for another author, and that will be so much fun. Only thing, when you get a lot of authors together, they're so used to being in their heads with their characters, and now they're with real live people who are just like they are that it's mayhem, everyone talking at once. So much fun --

Today, folks, you can pick your own exercises. Talk to your bod, find out what he or she needs and wants and DO IT. As for cardio, that's always your choice, but you have to do it or your bod will be very unhappy, maybe even lose its summer tan or stop growing hair. Don't let this happen to you.

August 8, 2019

Thursday, 8th August -- You would not believe how affectionate Peyton and Eli have become since their self-liberation. Except when they hear a noise, then they think strangers, machine guns, RUN -- We're trying to keep the house quiet and no strangers through the door (not even that adorable delivery guy from Amazon.)
Okay: Here's the results from Week #1 for LABYRINTH:
USA Today bestseller list -- #2 (USA based on actual sales)
NYT bestseller list -- #7 for hardcover (based on perceptions) and #2 for combined hardcover/ebook.

THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH -- you're champs, you're the best, you're incredible, Your taste in books is the most outstanding in the universe -- in other words, no one can touch you guys for entertainment choices.
I'm so pleased I'm going to do another 10 minutes cardio and dole it out among you as my exercise thank you. Does this mean you can cut down? Sorry, guys, this is just extra to get that stubborn half pound off -- NOW: Stand straight, place fingers on each side of your head. SLOWLY, bring your arms forward, nearly touching your elbows, then back and feel your back creak and groan and declare their undying love for you --

August 7, 2019

Wednesday, 7th August -- I woke up in the middle of the night and Eli was sleeping on my chest. I immediately went out, checked for Peyton (BUT NO) so I shut the bedroom door. (Didn't want him to go back downstairs and into that crawl space.) This morning, I opened the door and there was Peyton -- very very hungry, the little jerk. In any case, All is Well -- finally. Thank you for all the suggestions. But what happened was simply they got tired of hiding in the dark on top of insulation. Eli, for sure, was ready for food. Now they're both getting all sorts of attention and treats and attention and more treats and cooing and attention and more treats -- all of you know the drill. Thank you for all the suggestions. None of them worked with these two, but I believe every single cat on this earth does exactly what he/she wants to do and you can go suck it.
Phew -- thankfully that's over -- Peyton was up there 4 days, Eli only one --
Phew again -- Do you know that Mercury's no longer in retrograde? Is that the reason they went in and then came out?
Today, in celebration of the Return of the Felines, I'm going to do an extra 5 minutes on the tread mill to thank the powers that be. As for you guys, You can do your usual cardio -- think about sweating a bit, not too much, but some, okay? It will make you feel all sorts of virtuous --

p.s. I think I should get attention and treats too -
