Friday, 25th September --
FOOTBALL: The Dolphins beat the Jaguars, so I'm 1-0 for Week Two and a Half -- don't forget to mark down if you won or lost. And now, don't forget, you have 5 results each week. I'll post four Sunday Week 3 match-ups tomorrow morning.
CONTEST: I want you guys to post your very best Halloween photos on my Facebook page-- Of your house, of course, inside, out, doesn't matter. Please, ONLY TWO PHOTOS. I'll have my household vote -- the winner will get a book of his/her choice (alas, it has to be one of mine). Okay, everyone all in? Let's close down the contest say the week before Halloween. Mummies and spiders and carved pumpkins -- I can't wait to see what you've done.
Friday, yet again, and a gorgeous clear day here in Sausalito, high supposed to be around 71 degrees. Alas, the heat will arrive tomorrow -- up to 90 on Sunday and Monday -- this is a yearly happening but everyone who 's lived here for a thousand years is always surprised. As for me, I just keep hoping it won't happen. Weather whining will be on the rise beginning late tomorrow -- Got to gird our loins and pull the shorts our of the back of the closet.
Today, Savich is getting into deep doo doo with Olivia (she's a CIA operative) and she's in trouble. We'll see how they interact. Suspicion? Not sure yet, they've got to tell me, which sounds really crazy, I imagine, but nonetheless, it's true.
Today, SBB, never forget that, plus your shoulders to ear raises, pull back hard, then drop -- Both these things are critical, so incorporate them into each day. You're walking for me -- yes, still -- hey, how about 2 minutes of your walk/hike/skip/run/dance, okay?

September 23, 2020

Wednesday, 23rd September -- Halloween is all up -- the living room looks very Halloweeny -- Such fun. I'll post some photos so you can see both the new and the familiar (like Viktor and Gomez). Who thinks kids will be going from door to door this year? I mean, they're already wearing masks, right? Since we never have any trick or treaters, no change for us. Send me photos of your decorations.
Last night was amazing -- The Denver Nuggets beat the Las Angles Lakers in Game 3 of the final playoffs.
Tonight, it's the Heat and Celtics -- I'm rooting for the Heat, have liked them for a very long time. Sigh, no Golden State Warriors -- I do wonder what will happen to the home team.
Work today, as always. No hiking just yet and it's driving me nuts. Pain in the food is nearly gone, but I overdid it yesterday decorating so some twinges last night. Today is okay again, so I didn't screw myself up, so that's a relief. Yeah, I can see you shaking your heads at me, calling me an idiot, and you're right, of course. You just forget --
Everyone, give me one minute or your outdoor exercise. Appreciated. Don't forget, every single day, you stand in front of a mirror and you lift your shoulders to your ears, hold it, then pull back (SBB) then DROP. Repeat 6 times -- This is great for posture.

Tuesday, 22nd September -- Football -- I was so surprised (and pleased) to see the Las Vegas Raiders actually really really beat the Saints with Drew Brees -- it was an amazing game. At the beginning, the Saints just roared down the field and very quickly it was 10-0. And I thought, par for the course. Then the lights went on -- Really fun exciting game. I hear coaches who don't wear masks are fined $100,000 and the team is fined $250,000 -- well, last night, neither Gruden or Peyton really wore their masks, only very occasionally -- we'll see what the NFL does.
Air quality is EXCELLENENT -- Foot is good, but I've got to rest it a while longer.
So when you go out today to be virtuous and work those lovely muscles, send me a minute. I appreciate it.
I'm decorating for HALLOWEEN today -- yea! This will be wonderful fun -- how about you guys?

Monday, 21st September --I'm batting 500 again for Week two (sorry for mixing up sports) -- Football -- 2-2. And yes, it's recorded in my little pink football book. Pink you say, and roll your eyes? What can I say?
Today we have good air quality again. How about you guys? The CA smoke still filling your skies? I tell you, if you would do some rain dances, maybe all the fires would be put out and you wouldn't have any more of our crappy smoke. Whatcha think?
Work today -- I know exactly what I'm writing today, woke up at about 3:00 a.m. and thought about it and there it was -- YEA. This happens sometimes. How about you?
No hiking for me yet, but the foot hasn't hurt in two days -- another YEA -- and I'm expecting new special hiking shoes any day -- so we'll see. Digits crossed, please, and do send me a minute or your workout/walk/hike/dance/whatever
I wrapped Christmas presents yesterday, of course, and they're so colorful, you have to smile.
Get out there, and be happy, if you say you're depressed, think about being in a place where there aren't the medical facilities we have, and people don't protect other people by wearing masks and it's a royal mess. We'll get through, never doubt it -- chins up, eyes smiling since people can't see your mouth.

Sunday, 20th September -- Let's do football first:
Week 2:
1) Falcons over Cowboys
2) Vikings over Colts
3) Bucs over Panthers
4) 49ers over Jets
Everybody, take three of mine, pick your team, then add your own team. If I put your team on my list, then you have your match-ups. Good luck. No problems with Covid yet in football. Everyone is tested nearly every day and I was told no player wants to be the one to bring the virus into the locker room, so hopefully, everyone keeps feeling this way for the rest of the season.
Yes, wrapping Christmas Presents, and do you know, it's really beginning to feel like football season. Okay, roll your eyes, I can take it.
Stationery bike today (because of football!!!, so no outside, even to snooze in the chaise loungs). What about you guys? Are you going out into the beautiful world? You'll be fine, just you wear your mask and keep a bit of distance. If you spend time in a large group, I'll pray for you.
Will you buy a virtual seat a football game or the NBA playoffs? I don't know if they use projectors or tapes, or what, but the NBA games with all the fans waving and shouting in the stands -- famous retired players or movie stars, or scores of regular folk like us -- you get used to it and the court/stadium no longer feel empty and naked. Don't you love creativity?
So face today with a huge smile, I hope your air quality is as splendid as ours -- love those marine breezes (nice and wet) and the S.F. fog -- saves us from so much smoky grief.
Onward to football!

September 19, 2020

Saturday, 19th September -- WOW -- we have another day of good air quality. Hope if you've been receiving some of our California smoke, it clears up for you as well.
FOOTBALL: Week 2
1) Falcons over Cowboys
2) Vikings over Colts
3) Buccaneers over Panthers
4) 49ers over Jets
You're stuck with three of my picks, but pick your own team for the 4th -- I'll enter these again manana.
Yep, a Cantina day and what a pleasure to interact with others of the same species as me.
You might consider spreading your wings a bit today. Of course you'll be SMART and take good care. Do something remarkable, or something silly and stupid, or something wild and crazy, like picnicking by the closest lake, throwing a Frisbee in the park, or building sand castles on the beach, being careful, of course, that your castle is socially distanced from the next castle.
Have you expanded your bubble?

September 18, 2020

Friday (again), 18th September -- Planned Obsolescence -- here's an excellent example -- Keurig K Cup machine broke -- ONE YEAR OLD -- Okay, got that off my chest, now to fun things.
The BROWNS bear the BENGALS last night -- be sure to mark it down for Week One and a Half -- win or loss. This is a relief since if the Browns had lost, their locker room would have been stormed by Cleveland fans who've had enough. Congrats, Baker -- finally.
Third day running -- GREAT air quality -- be still my heart. The sky is blue again with lovely clouds strolling across begging you to come outside and breathe. All right, this is more like it. I hope things are improving in your areas.
Finished up the very small third plot in VORTEX -- I think it's very cool --
Everyone get their newsletter? I was going to post it on Facebook today but guess what? I haven't gotten a copy, and what's up with that? If any of you want to email me a copy, I'd be grateful.
Outside, folk, I mean it, no nice Catherine today. If you don't get outside and be active, I'll get in touch with your local exercise minions and they will probably storm your house (like the fans would the Browns locker room if they'd lost) and drag you outside and make you climb a tree or wade through a creek or do 20 push ups. Cooperate, it's for your own good.
I'll post week two football tomorrow --

September 17, 2020

Thursday, 17th September -- Okay, let's adjust the football contest rules: Week Zero -- we had the Chiefs vs/ Texans and everyone entered it in their football book as a win or a loss, then Week One, four games, and you entered your wins and losses. OKAY -- tonight is Week One and a Half (1 1/2)-- Browns vs Bengals. Pick your winner. Then I'll list out four teams for Week Two and so forth -- I'm going with the Browns. Why, you ask? They really looked awful against the Ravens this past Sunday. Well, Bengals have a rookie QB while the Browns have, sigh, Baker Mayfield -- but he is surrounded by superior players. If he can't win tonight, I think Cleveland might give up on the Browns -- as in forever.
Another gorgeous day here with excellent air quality. Am going to try a nice flat walk today, see what the foot has to say. Hopefully it will be utterly silent, toes crossed (on the other foot).
I'm writing the denouement for the third very small murder plot in VORTEX today -- trying to beef it up, maybe you guys go WOW. Digits crossed.
Outside, folk, unless a hurricane would blow your socks off or the smoke would choke you. Anything else, get out there -- don't forget before you go to Shoulders up to ears, pull back hard (SBB), then drop -- 12 times. You're good to go. Just in case, send me a couple of minutes again.
September newsletter is out. Let me know if you have any problems. If you aren't signed up, go to CatherineCoulter.com -- and sign up, it's very easy, I swear. Even Eli was close to signing up.

September 16, 2020

Wednesday, 16th September. The air quality today is TEN (goes up to 500, I think) -- fog rolled in last night, so I guess that's the reason, all the nice wet marine air.
Yesterday, lunch with friends we hadn't seen since December. It was amazing -- imagine, real people, everyone talking, can't hug, but together -- and Paula was wearing beautiful earrings!
Who's in your "bubble"?
Today, given the status of the foot (Planter Fibroma, i.e., little lumps of scar tissue and doesn't that sound completely unnecessary and rather yucky? A nice flat walk, see what happens. Not about to try a hill yet.
I don't know who's playing Thursday night football. If I want to include them in the four picks for Week 2, I'll tell you. Everyone's having fun with this?
Won't you join me on a walk today? If you could send me a couple of minutes, that'd be great.
Who has begun wrapping Christmas presents?

September 15, 2020

Tuesday, 15th September --
First thing: Week Zero and Week One for Football:
I'm 3-2 (Chiefs won, Steelers won, Patriots won, My losses, Buccaneers and Eagles.)
Today, for the first time since just after last Christmas, we're meeting friends from the city at The Cantina for lunch -- outside at a big circular table. We were going to go hiking after lunch, but alas, the air quality still sucks. Weather channel reported the smoke is all the way to Pennsylvania. I was thinking how is that possible when I remembered that Sahara got to our Mid-West.
I remember thinking in March, come summer, everything will be different, but it wasn't. Then I was thinking come fall everything will be different, but it isn't. Now I'm thinking come the new year and everything will be different. What do you think?
Everyone with nice air, get out there and walk/hike/dance/skip/tap -- send me two minutes, I'm really hurting here.
