Saturday, 17th October -- What a great day -- yes, of course, because it's Saturday and that usually means another hour snoozing in the a.m. And, naturally, out to have lunch at The Cantina -- then, who knows?
High today 83 degrees, not horrible, but I'd really like it to be FALL weather here like most of you guys have -- Indian Summer? Sure is late for that.
FOOTBALL: WEEK 6: this strange week without Thursday night football means we'll have FIVE picks. Okay, here are mine (you take three of mine, then you select the other two):
l) New England over Denver
2) Vikings over Falcons
3) Bucs over Green Bay
4) 49ers over Rams
5) Chiefs over Bills
Step right up, make your choices -- isn't this fun?!
All digits crossed no more Covid among players. Alabama's, Nick Saben, is having his 3rd test --hopes he won't be positive so he can be on the sideline today -- no symptoms and he's older, so that's good.
Out into this gorgeousness, all right? Shop (being VERY careful, of course) for Christmas presents, or Halloween candy you'll probably munch down before the 31st, but not a Thanksgiving turkey just yet. Have fun, talk to everyone in your "bubble" and see what fun thing you can come up with.

Friday, 16th October -- It felt really odd -- no Thursday Night football. I'll post the Week 6 match ups Saturday a.m. To keep us at 5 picks per week, I'll select 5 match-ups -- feel free to replace 2 of them. Yep, making this up as we go, so what else is new in this amazingly distressing year?
The October Newsletter will go out next Tuesday -- I wanted to wait because I've got a surprise for you -- yep, a reading surprise -- you'll see.
Hot here again today, high of 87 degrees, Alexa said. Hopefully it'll be just fine down at the ocean. Most of you are going the other direction, so if it's nice and nippy and refreshing and the leaves leave you speechless they're so beautiful, take your cell and get out there and walk -- and shoot some photos to post here for me, okay?
This exercise is painless: Stand straight and tall. Arms at your sides, then bring them up and touch your hands -- repeat 12 times. Don't move anything else, only arms up and down. Let me know how it feels. Great for tris and bis and your upper back and posture --

It's going to swelter today, about 90 degrees, which makes me sweat just typing it. I'm praying it won't be so bad right on the ocean, we'll see. All of you are enjoying cooler temps and gorgeous leaves -- think of me and try not to wince.

Wednesday, 14th October -- What a gorgeous morning -- well, it's in the low sixties right now, but this afternoon -- WHOA -- it'll hit 78 degrees. That means walking close to the water where it ain't too hot. Walked all around Tiburon (means Whale in Spanish) yesterday, about 2 miles, all flat, no problems. Perfect day, everyone out with dogs strolling around or just sitting by the Bay looking back to the city, snoozing. At least dogs are super happy in this surreal time -- they're getting loads of walks. So many wagging tails out every day.
We're hoping the Fall rains begin soon -- all digits crossed please. I spoke to the regional weather minion, but he refused to confirm what would happen in the next couple of weeks, the little jerk. (He's a one-eyed minion).
When I'm out walking today -- don't know where yet -- I want to think of you guys doing the same thing, maybe with a friend, with someone in your bubble, with your dog or with a neighbor's dog, believe me, dogs don't care, they just want to get out there and wave their tails, sniff everything in sight and loll their tongues.
Everyone -- lift shoulders to ears, holding, then pulling back so shoulder blades are coming together, then blump -- drop. Do this maybe 6 times, maybe a couple of times a day. So good for your posture.
The twist I thought of for VORTEX is working wonderfully -- yea!

Tuesday, 13th October -- The photo on my Facebook page is Mexican bush sage -- and it does feel like soft velvet -- I've only seen it on Strawberry Point, in Mill Valley, right on the Bay -- Isn't it lovely?
Okay, tonight, 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time, the Bills are playing the Titans. I like both teams. I think I'll pick the Bills -- for the fun of it. This isn't in the game -- just sport.
Today -- I told you about the brainstorm I had and IT WORKS -- it's excellent, ties up all the loose ends that were knotting in my brain and driving me nuts. So how about some really nice champagne?
Walked about a mile yesterday -- all flat -- did good. Down on the Bay, where there is so much Mexican bush sage -- and lots of kids out playing in the kelp.

Today, of course, is work -- and this is exciting, a twist came to me, I've chewed it over all weekend and I pray, hope it will WORK. Digits crossed, pleased.
I don't know how many games we have today -- and then tomorrow as well -- Well, it was to be expected.
Congratulations to the Lakers although I really wanted the Heat to win -- sigh --
Everyone, you WILL exercise today, you will not procrastinate, you will not make excuses, you will do what you can, even if it isn't 100% -- Okay?

What a perfect day here -- overcast right now, with a bit of fog, which will burn off and turn into a GORGEOUSO day.
Walked through Sausalito yesterday, all flat, about 2 miles, no problem -- YEA! Unless I holler, you don't have to give me any more of your walks/hikes. Businesses were open but very few people. Mostly people out earing pizza outside on the sidewalk (I mean with tables, of course) --
Today is a bit of work (Yeah, I know, "What is wrong with you!!!" but I really want to spiffy up this chapter) then MEXICAN at The Cantina and then???? -- It's going to be a surprise, haven't decided yet.
How about you guys? Are you going out with those in your Bubble? Zoom your folks/kids/great Uncle Tom in a nursing home?
Do spend a couple of minutes saying a little prayer for all those affected by the horrendous fires up Calistoga way in the wine country.

Friday, 9th October: NFL, Thursday night game, Bucs and Bears. We were split about half-half and the Bears took it, which mean I, for one, start WEEK 5 -- 0-1. I'll tell you this is the first time I've ever blamed the coach for the loss, but Bruce Ayrians (sp?) made a huge blunder when it was 4th and 1 very close to the goal line -- they were only leading by 2 points -- come on, you know the Bears could get a field goal, which of course they did and won by one point. Remember early in the game when the coach had them go for it on 4th and l on THEIR OWN TWENTY -- and made it. He needs to be flagellated.
Okay, I'll post the 4 match-ups for Sunday tomorrow morning --
All good here -- another nice nearly 2 mile walk again yesterday, no hills, them's orders from doc -- and no problems. Another walk today, maybe a bit of an incline here and there.
What will you do for yourself today? By that I mean, not sitting in front of the TV until AFTER you've taken care of your physical requirements, namely, WALKING. And SBB. We have a few sprinkles, anything is better than nothing -- praying for more --

Thursday, 8th October -- You all can see from Peyton's photo that he's just fine now and Eli got over his snit when vet smell was gone. So all is good on the home front.
NFL -- Tonight, I pick the Bucs over the Bears. You can either call this Week 4 and a l/2 or WEEK FIVE -- and so we simply acknowledge we're up from 4 match ups to 5. Write down your pick. I'll post Sunday games tomorrow.
Another big YEA -- walked nearly 2 miles yesterday, again, flat, but that's okay, don't want to rush things. Foot is fine. the OthoFeet sneakers/shoes are ugly, but they sure work, so no complaints. But trust me, they don't go with a little black dress. And who's worn a LBD in eight months anyway?
If you're decorated yet for Halloween, send me a maximum of two photos -- the ones you've sent so far are really cute.
Today is busy, which sounds crazy, but I actually have two things to do other than the usual -- the Dentist (cleaning) and a ZOOM interview. No one can come, it's to be recorded, then put together with other authors and then I'll let you know..
Yep, we're all heading out today getting our bodies happy with movement and more movement and even though most of us can't whistle worth a spit, I know I'll try.
