Monday, 17th August -- GRAND ANNOUNCEMENT: The 4th Novella in the Grayson Sherbrooke Otherworldly Adventures titled THE VIRGIN BRIDE OF NORTHCLIFFE HALL, is out tomorrow -- in EBOOK ONLY. Why only in ebook? Because all four are novellas, they're about 20,000 words so not enough to make a full-length book. If you haven't read the first three, they're bundled now, so you get all in one package.

So tomorrow -- get thee to your ebook provider and grab it. You're going to see characters from the Sherbrooke series, which is fun -- And keep me posted, I want to know what you think.

I told you about waking up about 3:00 a.m. Sunday to lightning and huge winds -- amazing, lighting up the sky, slashing across the Bay, really beautiful -- but to have rain, no matter it was a piddling amount, in AUGUST, was amazing. Also we had a bit of rain around noon yesterday. Everyone at the Cantina yesterday was just staring in amazement at the lovely light rainfall.

Hot where you are? Hot here as well -- high of 79 degrees, which, of course, will be in the 80's -- So walk, don't hike, drink lots (water is best, I would have to say) -- Everyone, wear your mask when you see another person or when you go into a store. Mask a problem? Only use it for very brief periods of time -- no problem --

August 14, 2020

Friday, 14th August -- Oh dear, oh goodness, we're talking near death experience here, I kid you not -- IT'S GOING TO BE 86 DEGREES HERE IN SAUSALITO TODAY!!! I'm afraid to ask Alexa about the weekend forecast, too scary. What's happening? Has the earth tilted on its axis? Will Scottsdale be suddenly a perfect 68 degrees while we're thrown into the cauldron? No hike today -- a nice slow stroll -- and yes, of course fewer carbs for dinner (sigh).

I do not like vegetables. But, glory be, they now have vegetable supplements, and I take 2 a day. It's wonderful to be able to swallow your vegetables with a sip of tea -- a mix of 50 of them or thereabouts -- ain't technology wonderful?

Hug up to your ac, since most of you write it's like 2,000 degrees where you live -- and before you start reading (preferably moi), go to Amazon or your ebook provider and order up THE VIRGIN BRIDE OF NORTHCLIFFE HALL, the 4th Grayson Sherbrooke otherworldly adventures. If you haven't read the Sherbrooke series, I hope you'll give it a look-see, especially The Sherbrooke Bride -- The novella is out the 18th, which means NEXT WEEK.

Everyone -- stay cool , drink lots of water (not vodka), and put a bowl of cold water next to your kritters.

Thursday, 13th August -- Shock, surprise, oh dear -- it's going to be a high of 76 degrees here in Sausalito today. How will we bear it? I mean nearly 10 degrees HOTTER than usual? AC, that's the only answer, but I don't have AC -- FANS -- okay, that's doable, but everyone in the house will want them. What to do?
I hope all of you are bearing up, if you have heat like I do, we have to be strong, show grit, show what we're made of. Maybe even stroll (not hike, waaaay too hot) -- we'll see.
Where's the fans?

Wednesday, 12th August -- Do you know what is really cool and on the amazing side? The return of drive-in theaters. Do you think they'll stay? Get bigger? Do you think shaking hands is now a social tradition of the past? And hugging someone you're not related to? Gone forever?
After dinner tonight, you and your other half and your family and your pets all sit down and list out WHAT activity will not return that was once a constant in our lives. Give me your main one, okay?
Work today, always, and a hike -- Otherwise, all is the same except for the Russian Oligarch out in his big super yacht in the bay -- Even if I get an invite, I really don't like vodka or caviar. What to do? Should I decline the invitation? Or go and tell them I'm allergic to potatoes and fish eggs? Yep, that sounds plausible. Can I ask instead for TACOS?

Everyone, this is a wonderful day -- big beautiful Wednesday - and it's only here for 24 meager hours -- so make the most of it before it disappears into the past. Do something special, it can be really small, but different and out of your usual routine.
Hug those who live with you -- every single day, or more, great big awesome hugs, everyone needs hugs, right?

August 11, 2020

Tuesday, 11th August -- Nice and foggy and cool today in Sausalito -- yep, my kind of weather. Give me a sunny day say tomorrow for hiking and I'll be cheering. Most of you are sweltering so you have to do your exercise early or late -- no problem, so long as you treat your body like a well-oiled machine.
Work today, like you, more on Juliet -- she is amazing, I'm so proud of her
When you're out walking and you see other people, wave from a distance, maybe shout a hello, don't wait until they're up close. I've learned that people are very afraid of speaking if they think they're too close to you. Yesterday, we saw a woman on the trail higher up, and waved and called out. She was singing, so we joined in. Quite lovely.
Be patient, be positive, and know that this crazy time will end -- and how do you think our lives will have changed, maybe forever?

August 10, 2020

Monday, 10th August -- Happy Monday, everyone. I hear there's not going to be any college football (Well, not set in stone yet) -- Probably for the best, so many people involved, moving here and there for games -- a recipe for disaster.
Remember the name Juliet -- she's in VORTEX -- and I'm concentrating on her today.
Up, Up, and Away, EVERYONE -- outside, too hot? Early or late, but you must get your beautiful selves outside and move -- walk your neighborhood, walk your town, walk a trail -- hike uphill a bit -- Yes, yes, I'm nagging you, but it's so important you keep fit and strong during this very strange time where everything is topsy-turvy -- (sp?)
It's going to be a bright, bright, bright sunshiny day --
The Jumbotron in Times Square is coming!!!!
You can see it on my Facebook page.

August 9, 2020

Sunday, 9th August -- Another gorgeous day in Paradise -- Mexican today -- yea, TACOS! and then a nice long hike to get the tacos off the thighs.
All goes well, back of head still a bit sore, but nothing at all dramatic, so please, no more worries, but thank you for caring, it means a lot.
What are you up to today? Something exciting, I hope, or at least something unusual and interesting, maybe a bit adventuresome -- and naturally, you'll get outside, have some full sun on your fave, and walk. Who whistles while they walk?
Take a friend or your other half -- always fun.
Have you called your folks? Your kids? DO SO RIGHT THIS MINUTE.
And never forget, SBB

Wait til you guys see the jumbotron at Times Square -- it's the DEADLOCK video -- be there all month, beside Lion King and I'm told supermodel wearing Jockey underwear is close by. This is so cool!

August 7, 2020

Friday, 7th August -- I'm sending you so many pictures -- hope you like most of them. The acrylic "face screen" -- This is a very good friend of mine -- had a kick redoing it with DEADLOCK. I asked her if I could use her name and she said she prefers "She who shall not be Named." Well, okay, but it is so cool.
Another Friday and I'm doing a little tap dance (I bet many of you are), and we have a fine weekend coming up. Tell me how things are going in your area, whether, like me, you can go to your favorite Mexican restaurant and eat outside and munch chips, salsa, guacamole and TACOS. If you eat sushi, please don't tell me, okay? I have never liked fish (except for fried shrimp, fried being the operative word here) and when I lived in Japan and was occasionally feted, the big treat to give the guest (me) was SUSHI -- You had to eat it or you were insulting your hosts. Oh my, what a challenge.

Big hike today since it's going to be a high of 69 degrees -- perfect. What are your plans for today? Work? What, exactly? Is walking/hiking/exercising on your schedule -- it should be or I might have to call in the minions for discipline. Walk, folk, get out there in the gorgeous world, and move those legs -- and if you chance to see someone, do tell them what a GREAT book DEADLOCK is --

August 6, 2020

Thursday, 6th August -- well, pretty dyn-o-mite news. You know there are bestseller lists, most come out around Wednesday -- DEADLOCK hit #1 -- Thank you all, very very much for helping this come to pass. I found out about the big whooping bestseller lists at the beginning of the hike up Ring Mountain yesterday -- a couple were coming near and I shouted out and there were congratulations and laughter and, I hope, new readers to the FBI series. When I got home, my household had posted a sign on the door -- I'll put it up this afternoon -- it's very clever and cute and cool

So all is happiness here. And smiles suddenly appear and an occasional jerky tap dance. Picture me clicking my heels.

Everyone, and that means you too -- doesn't matter if you can't go for a walk/hike, you always do what you can. If no lower body, you do upper body. You're always working on something on your magnificent self. Don't forget, this magnificent self is the only one you have so give it your all.

If you wish, you can stand on a street corner maybe wearing a sandwich board with DEADLOCK on it, maybe you could shout out to passersby --
