---Austin, TX: Saint Motel has revealed its fourth 360° Interactive Virtualizer Video for “Sweet Talk” as part of YouTube’s star-studded SXSW programming featuring hitmakers and innovators such as Solange, Rae Sremmurd, Migos, Lil Yachty and more.

The new “Sweet Talk” Virtualizer is one of four Saint Motel VR videos featured by YouTube at SXSW. It appears alongside the three previously revealed saintmotelevisionvirtualizer videos ("Move", "Born Again", "You Can Be You") plus and additional VR/360° videos as part of the music and technology event. Fans in Austin were invited to don VR goggles and experience the technology in real time, while Saint Motel shared the video with fans via YouTube’s Livestream App as part of last night’s premiere.

Saint Motel has also announced plans to expand its saintmotelevison LP into the first-ever virtual reality album with plans to reveal six additional 360° Virtualizers to be rolled out over the coming months, completing the 10-track package.

The seamlessly rendered 360° VR videos combine animation and virtual reality technology to create the stunning visuals and vibrant experience set within one of the first VR 3D animated music videos. The virtualizers are part of Saint Motel’s continued embrace of immersive visuals and integrated technology.

"Creating the reality we want to inhabit, mixing art forms, and experimenting with audiovisuals is at the core of what Saint Motel is all about," explains Saint Motel’s A/J Jackson. "The Virtualizers aren't meant to compete with traditional music videos, we'll continue to make those. Trementina '810' LP Out 3/24

Trementina  - 810Out Friday March 24th, 2017 via Burger RecordsTrementina create music for lucid dreaming. It’s an intense, yet melancholic conjuring by art students and skaters from the damp forests of Valdivia, Chile, where the rainfall creates faded polaroids out of daily life. 

Valdivian shoegaze emerges from the fissures of their homeland. Isolated from urban static, Trementina has created a dizzying symphony that drowns you with noise, hallucinatory guitars, and beauty among chaos — which can be felt in the ethereal vocals of Vanessa Cea. 

Their third album, 810, is the evolutionary star-child of their sound, which first made contact with the U.S. in 2013, and then again in 2015 when their song “Hazy Youth” appeared on the now famous Ear to Ear Records’ shoegaze comp.

Recorded roughly 810 kilometers south of Santiago, during the cold winter, when the “sky is charcoal gray,” to borrow a line from DIY pioneer Martin Newell, 810 upgrades their sound from My Bloody Valentine-tinged haze on 2013’s Brilliant Noise [Vinyl Junkies], into a meditative experience that’s surreal, a “dream within a dream” — the byproduct of Cristobal Ortiz’s modulated guitar and the thick bass of Lucas Martinic. 

810  includes nine tracks that flood the musical landscape; ranging from songs like “Oh Child,” which capture the atmospheric pressure of Joshua Tree-era U2, or early CHVRCHES, to “Please, Let’s Go Away,” which sounds like it was recorded inside a cosmic cathedral, as opposed to a DIY studio from the Chilean countryside. It’s a track the band recorded after the sudden departure of their drummer, which inspired them to augment their sound with influences as broad as Brian Eno and Robin Guthrie. 810 includes several tracks that show the quartet reaching beyond the shoegaze galaxy, even back in time, like the opium-den tripping of “Out of the Lights” and the African textures on “A Place Up in the Sky.” 

The overall effect is a youthful pilgrimage across the south of Chile, during a waking dream. 810  will be released on Burger Records on March 24, 2017. Trementina is a DIY rock band based in Valdivia, Chile, and consists of Vanessa Cea (vocals), Cristobal Ortiz (guitar), Lucas Martinic (bass), and Andrés on drums.LINKS

The Cranberries are set to release  Something Else , a new album featuring re-worked renditions of their major hits, as well as brand new material. The album is due out April 28 via BMG on digital and CD formats, and includes seminal Cranberries songs like "Linger," "Zombie," "Dreams," and "Ode To My Family"... re-recorded in orchestral and acoustic arrangements. The album is now available for pre-order. 

Something Else celebrates the 25th anniversary of the band. Their first major U.S. hit "Linger" has been re-done acoustically, and just premiered on Rolling Stone! On the album concept and choice of "Linger" as the first single, The Cranberries' singer-songwriter Dolores O’Riordan explains,

"'Linger' was the first song The Cranberries ever wrote together. I was 17, and the youngest member of the band was 15 at the time. We never imagined it'd be such a big hit, but soon us teenagers found ourselves on our first flight to the United States to shoot the video in Downtown LA. That video would introduce us to American households, in the good old days of MTV! The bittersweet love song still holds all that sentimentality for us personally, which is why we had to include it on this project. Universally, I think its message remains timeless and relevant, never going out of fashion, yet never quite in fashion. It's amazing to have a song hold up 25 years later, and I hope this acoustic version allows our fans to hear a Cranberries classic in a new way."

Last year, over two weeks in the University of Limerick, at the home of the Irish Chamber Orchestra, the band revisited old times; Dolores laid down vocals as small booths were created to record the instruments as if live. She was no longer a child, singing her amazing, mature songs from an inexperienced vantage point but a woman now, with the capacity to throw her life at the music, the benefit of hindsight. "I prefer them like this," she says of the new recordings of old songs, "with a little bit more experience behind them, with a new lease of life. They sound fresh again."

As the record began to take full shape, three new songs were added, to stop it just being a Proustian rush of memories lost and found. The first was The Glory, which Dolores explains she wrote in The Irish Chamber Orchestra’s rehearsal rooms at the University of Limerick. She then brought out two songs she had been keeping in her personal stash, until she could place them in the right home: "Rupture" ("about depression, about being in that black hole and finding it hard to get out of it") and the forthcoming single "Why?" ("written just after my father passed, the hardest time").

It’s testament to Dolores and Noel’s song-writing prowess that the new additions to the Cranberries cannon sit seamlessly next to the old. When they began finalising details for the record, they decided on Something Else, a nod to the first record’s Everybody Else…, a title neither riven with the promise of future endeavours or locked into the past. Today, Karen Elson releases the video for her new single, "Call Your Name," directed by Elson and the photographer/director Jo McCaughey. The single is the first to be taken from English-born, Nashville based Elson's upcoming second album,  Double Roses , which is set for release on 1965 Records (PIAS) on April 7th. "Call Your Name" is, as Elson says, "A song about the many sides of myself battling to become one. With the video, I wanted to use simple metaphors of deep dark water and mirrors to literally reflect the song's meaning of inner conflict, who I am behind the mirror?" Elson is performing at SXSW this week. She also has live dates in Nashville and Brooklyn. About  Double Roses Double Roses was recorded in Los Angeles, at the world-renowned United Studios (neé Ocean Way) in Hollywood, with producer Jonathan Wilson (Jackson Browne, Father John Misty, Conor Oberst). Elson, who had been writing and demoing songs throughout her recording hiatus of the past few years, spent three weeks in Los Angeles working with Wilson to put the album together. A long time fan of the sun soaked sounds of the 'Laurel Canyon' era, it was the perfect place to commit her songs to tape. The album features collaborations with an array of musical talent, including The Black Keys' Pat Carney (who co-produced and played drums on the single), Father John Misty, Laura Marling, Benmont Tench, Pat Sansone (Wilco), Nate Walcott (Bright Eyes) and Dhani Harrison.

This was, and will always be, Royal Trux.
It's been a minute since Royal Trux went about making a record in 1-2 days, but they got that system on lock, and once again we see them setting parameters and adhering to them for max impact.  Platinum Tips and Ice Cream  was also made in two days...one in Cali and one in NYC, during the onset of their return to live performances. The recordings bring the actual experience and the rawness that could be felt and heard LIVE, to a finished form.  Platinum Tips and Ice Cream  conjure the early feral spirit of the band devouring the sophisticated sound of the later years and coughing up a motherfucking hairball of sound!Royal Trux has always played with the idea of "expectation" like it was a new toy at Christmas, and year in and year out wiped it out like the face of an old teddy bear. World Be Gone , the band’s seventeenth studio album, is the follow up to the The Violet Flame (2014), and follows the band’s recent 30th anniversary celebrations. The new album sees the award-winning songwriters in a more reflective mood, giving the world and recent political upheavals a thoughtful examination and, as highlighted on the painted artwork showing a ship's masthead rising up from being submerged in the stormy waters, looking forward to the future.

Explains Vince Clarke, “Obviously the current political climate lends itself to lots of ideas,” Andy Bell continues,“I think there’s an underswell of opinion, and people are slowly waking up. I’m hoping that people will take the album in a positive way, that they’ll use it as optimistic rabble-rousing music.”
