1 - love the contrast of the two... he so grim and disliking his peers, her so bubbly and outgoing. He finds out so randomly and she’s so accepting he knows... funny he’s not given a name!

The guy’s name isn’t revealed! I do love the girl and appreciate knowing what a pancreas does (regulate digestion and metabolism).

Sooooo boring... I don’t much like old Henry, and while I don’t mind young Henry... nothing much has happened either. He met Keiko and bonded with her because they both go to a white racist school because their parents want better for them. And Sheldon the sax player is cool...

The extra comics can be skipped but are pretty funny.

109-110 - Juzo almost gets taken out but lives to pass on that there are civilians among the clowns. Urie goes berserk and seems to exceed the limits... Ken and co learn where the RC suppressant was taken... it fills the place up and makes the most powerful sick (Owl and Ken) a researcher hits a button and Kotaro Amon?! Is woken up!?!

108 - Ken has to escape the V group chasing him... Furuta thinks he’s won. Ken escapes on a subway train. Urie is fighting Donato who is happy to kill the son of the man who captured him! We learned at the start Urie has ghoul levels ... the doctor tests him and he can’t eat regular food. If he goes to level three he’ll be a ghoul permanently...

107 - the white suits are being taken out by the V’s black suits... a special Washu unit that sweeps in when the CCG is in trouble. Furuta releases them on Ken... who is forced to leave and let Shu Tsukiyama to take care of them to go after the suppressant. Urie is being taken out by the ghoul in his district ...

106 - the personal battles are starting... the Qs are up against a formidable foe! Juzo is quite confident...

105 - The clown attacks commence on the 18th and 2nd wads as predicted... Washu at first is confident there will be no attack at the main office... but he’s wrong! Juzo Suzuya is sent to the front as the new Arima unit. Washu is sent with his unit to the rear of the building. Ken moves in...

104 - It’s not my imagination ... this is moving a little slower than normal... we normally don’t get team breakdowns like this... it was boring... and what’s up with Takeomi Kuroiwa suddenly asking the bakery girl to marry him? I don’t get the point!

103 - Ken and Nishiki Nishio learn they need to get RC suppressant to save Akira. NN learns his human gf from college days inspired the creation of Taiwa Act the humans who like ghouls. Furuta puts forth a plan to handle the attacks in a special investigator meeting. Kori Ui agrees and says they will push forward with it even without the interim chief’s okay.

102 - The Owl is pretty frantic to save Akira because she saved him... Seems like she’ll live if she gets the right treatment. They call a guy who says they have two options Kano who knows both human and ghoul biology or Taiwa Act. Ken has to gain Naki’s loyalty for their plan to work. The meeting is set up!

101 - Ken is going to support Nimura Furuta as the next bureau chief by stacking the CCG offices... putting the blame on Washu and needing the CCG to have a new chief. NF is the one who dropping the beam on Ken and Rize! He wanted to have her as a breeder for himself... he was n love with her since a child. Didn’t want to Washu family to have her.

Saiko Yonebayashi notices Toru Mutsuki smells of human blood, Toru tries to say her secret is that she used to be female but Saiko already knew that. Ken and Nimura Furuta (named as the next bureau chief in a will be the previous Washu leader in a letter in his desk) meets Ken!

100 - we get a cross section of reactions to Haise coming out as the one eyed king... Kori Ui feels she lost all sorts of people important to her... Juzo Suzuya seems to have fond memories of Haise but wants a promotion... Kuki Urie plans on using the last Washu to get ahead as well.

99 - Ken decides to form an anti-human organization with the hope of creating a dialogue between humans and ghouls. He is the one-eyed King because he took out Arima.

FREAKIN WOW! I’ve liked Kelsey Sutton since the first book I read but WOW! So, so good. Love the end, not a moment that I didn’t enjoy. I had to keep reading and see the end... loved being in Key’s head too.

All the characters are so cool! I loved experiencing everything through Key!

Hmmm the whole flooding again was pretty good... I don’t quite understand what happened to Gideon but Aaron paid his dues for causing it. And Kai is back whole even though they now have two brothers after them! The rain storm was the first step of something to go to war about?

The shoe game was fun... and the cat got where she wanted to go without her pit fighting. I knew Ma’ii wasn’t gone... at least she got advice and went to To. Poor sweet Ben who is suffering so due to guilt and Maggie went and made it worse. At least it seems Aaron is on their side ...?

“That’s not a windstorm out there,” he says grimly. “It’s a locust swarm.”

Title!! Creepy... pretty obvious what went down. R is just so melodramatic for no reason...

Awwww H! Noooo and poor Ben... and what’s up with Kai?!

Loved this... I didn’t know about his real mom and dad... that end... they didn’t tell them the truth!? But acted like they did... any she turned to feathers?!

Wow... this is really good... the romance was a little fast but I like how they’ve both had to let go of their superstitions but they didn’t really talk about it in the narrative. And her mental health breaks when it rains... that makes a lot of sense to me. His brother is a cretin! Breaking his fingers... and her aunt healed one?! So cool!

So yeah I’ve known for a while who killed the general and it’s confirmed when she had the weapon checked. The confrontation with our boy was so sad... cliffhanger ending but he’s made his choice!

Then they see the festival announcement for the one they missed when they were young and he asks her to go again! Like I said quick. I love how jealousy seems to make boys progress things faster than they might have otherwise!

15 - things advanced quickly in this chapter... they meet for a festival and she runs into that boy who says to forget it but Kou comes over and it’s embarrassing... then the other girl decides to confess while they get food and he says he’s never seen her that way. It’s cute when the girls realize a boy shouldn’t get between them!

14 - he changes and studies after that day with them, he even eats his brother’s food and sits with his dad and brother! He ends up in a higher place than his tudors, lol. But no summer school. The guy she hit in the balls tries to tell her not to worry about it but doesn’t get a chance... Kou seems jealous! The other girl want to become more than friends.

13 - she hunts him down with those punks and ends up telling him from her heart that she wants him to live again! It’s quite beautiful as he realizes this is what he needed... permission to live again! She’s so funnily melodramatic but it’s so HS I love it!
