I love the change in Tens hair! And the art seems uneven to me. But when it’s good it’s reallly good, like when characters are being serious and it looks like black and white watercolor!

These two guys are so funny... Chiaki thinks they’re friends but Riku wants to be rivals... to be fair Chiaki tells a Riku his feelings for Ten. He also tells Ten he likes a girl but she hasn’t caught on it’s her. He asks them both to go somewhere and they go to the beach. She seems to have feelings for a Riku which is sad because he’s so unremarkable to me.

We get Chiani’s POV again! YAY! I like him better than Riku. Just because he’s a bookworm and a little unusual in that he likes Riku his rival as a person. He feels he’s selfish and would be a book he wouldn’t want to read because he wants Ten... even though Riku does too. Ten also talks to Rei... and Riku asks like he didn’t kiss her.

15 - hmmm I loved meeting this Mononoke... she is super badass and her lesson to Jiro was really neat. Seems like Amagi wants to eat a Rago...

14 - sooooo Rago’s stunt doesn’t seem to have effected Amagi’s plan... Jairo’s gpa takes him to a forest where he can get in touch with his beast and tap into Rago’s power... the snake was hilarious!! And the way Jiro opened up to it about Rago... and caring about him was priceless.

13 - Jiro goes berserk and has a Rago monster head... the guy can’t keep him back... they have grandpa coming though and it’s so badass! I love his gpa though... my favorite character in this series!! Shiva meanwhile gets chickie to “interrogate” the Mononoke she captured... he wants her to become his bride, lol.

12 - so they rip Rago out of J but the cat is smart and leaves behind his tail with all his power. Boy is the villain mad about that... he needs Rago’s power to take out the humans because last time they did this without Rago they failed. J meanwhile is being locked up and suppressed by out chick leader... since Shiva isn’t around he’s outa there...

So the chick wants three dresses made from the sun, moon and stars. Cue rolling eyes. Edan knows the materials that are needed to make them and says it’s possible but he has to go with but the emperor won’t like it... as it will leave him vulnerable... they do it any way... a little boring getting started.

20 - oooh the amusement park is fun as Rui and Kyosuke chat with Mitsuki while doing the lucky charm things she wanted to do with Towa! Rui was just being thankful toward her even though she misunderstood a little and Kyosuke urges her to just tell him her feelings. She decides to go for it and tells Towa she wants to go on the Ferris wheel. It was a cute chapter about friends!

19 - With summer break the boys take a day off practice to do something fun... they meet at the cafe to decide... Reina’s choice the beach is eventually nixed cause bathing suits... after a funny interlude about imaging each other in them... Towa remembers to see when Mitsuki wants to go and eventually they decide to go there to the amusement park.

18 - the aftermath of their loss is a little rough at first. They don’t come to the roof to eat and Mitsuki isn’t sure what to say. But they eventually come to the cafe and talk it out. They assume Ryuji is going to never come to the cafe like when he was a kid but he had to return the thermos! It was cute to see how they were as kids!

17 - awww the last game was so intense! But Aya was right... Ryuji pulled a muscle and so had to go out with 45 seconds and they lost the finals by 2 points. It was heartbreaking and Mitsuki totally felt for Towa who was really stalwart. He says he’ll get better and stronger and she wants to too so she can support him.

16 - she gets lost but finds the captain who leads her to the guy’s... Aya totally wins over Reina and they bond when he comes and sits with them to watch the game. Towa wins but Aya says his team is fragile since they lost their initial lead when 2 of their starters were taken out. To win they had to be put back in. She is distracted watching Aya play and Towa sees her awe.

End of part 1 - I love that the premise only touched on the first half of the story... I’m excited to get in more with Edan and learn more about why and how he works for the emperor... you know this fight between the two is all about him... I so spect but am not sure yet. She’s a little stupid ... I hate how that’s used for convenience in the plot. But I am enjoying this story so much!

Oooh a lot of telling but once at the palace the story got under way. Personally I think the nice one is the saboteur to look out for. The scissors are super cool!! She was lucky and cursed to co-win that first challenge of the shawl. Now for slippers!

15 - After the hug at the end of 14 Mitsuki is super embarrassed! She wonders how Towa feels about it. She gets hints that Maki likes Towa too, but nothing conclusive. Towa asks M to make sure she’s coming to his game... www Aya is not giving up! He sees her as she’s looking for Towa to bring him his towel and a drink. He pulls her aside and tells her she meant a lot to him and helped him get to where he is today.

14 - Towa and Mitsuki each learn of the other in their lives and wan5 to ask about that person but both feel it’s not the right time... I love how group oriented this series is... the little by play with Ryuji and Kyosuke on the roof was funny... and Reina about the girls finding these guys on the roof... so, so funny.

13 - Maki tried to ask Towa to sign her wristband but she was worried he’d know she liked him (he’s too dense for that) and people kept interrupting. They decide to meet at the diner but the guys get talking basketball so she’s too shy to interrupt. She leaves but comes back and meets him! He takes her home and she gets to grab him on the train haha.

12 - the new girl Maki Sudo befriends Mitsuki... she helps with the banner M offered to make for the team. She seems like a sweet girl if a bit straightforward hahaha. I liked how M resolved the basketball battle... saying they should all do something together as a date, hahaha. Aya didn’t like it but Towa was fine with it. Maki is about to get her heart broken I think....

11 - haha I love the way Kyosuke teases Mitsuki. She wants to know what to do for Towa... a girl in charge of the basketball club gets wristbands with the school name... Ryuji wants Nana to sign his so Towa wants M to sign his! Aya comes across them on a bunch holding hands and talks about a date with M so they propose a contest! Fun!

Hmmm we’re kind of just given a quick run down of everyone’s end. It was so sweet!

Ivy is such a good girl. I wasn’t as engaged in her story but I did love how it brought out the Japanese interment camps and how outrageous it was that Japanese who have been in America for so long were treated. We know there were a ton more German spies than Japanese but they weren’t rounded up!

Awwwwwwwwww Mike and Frankie are the best! I’m glad to have read the entire book for them! I love how Mike marched in and made a deal with Eunie and worked hard to execute it... at the end when he gets them out to run away I was bawling all through that part! He falls and we jump to part 3!

Loved the bonus story about The Colorful Seasons of August! So cute... he’s color blind and she’s moving at the end of summer. They play with with these two kids named Spring and Winter! So adorable... so his name means Summer so he nicknames her Akki or Autumn. He also lives far away but comes for the summer.

4 - this last chapter was the exam to be the apprentice court herbalist... she has her own garden to take care of and the Prince gets locked in overnight with her. She notices the water is too sweet and figures it out and fixes it!! Pretty cute start! Love the art soooo much because of the gorgeous screens.

3 - a marquis doesn’t like Zen seeing her... an edict is sent to the guards that she’s not allowed in... supposedly by Zen! She already came through so she heads n to Zen and is shot at! She keeps me bing forward and meets to Marquis... she tells him if the edict is true it’s his duty to cut her down. The guy who shot at her comes out and says he did that all!

2 - she goes on a day trip to the mountains because she wants to become the court herbalist. She tells Zen and he escorts her to the ship. A dark haired guy kidnaps her but she keeps escaping... he wants to sell her to a rich guy and then become her bodyguard. Haha. Zen comes and rescues her.

1 - Ooooh this was adorable! I love Zen’s attitude and save-flair way of being. The poisoned apple thing was so funny!

50 - hmmm so Simon the church watcher is being pulled so it seems the church will be getting up in Elias and Chise business. Stella it seems is in danger again?! By that guy who helped Josef... Rahab a mage who wanders through time has shown up... Adolf asks Lindell about Elias and learns about his fae name... great start to the next arc!
