Chap 4 - hahaha that well meaning teacher... her experiments with flying are pretty funny. Even if when she’s successful she floats away!

Chap 3 - Ran tried to go to her mom’s village... Jin follows her using a fur coat that turns him into a wolf and he gets her back from some drunks! Their dad embroiders when he’s stressed, so cute! The art is so gorgeous!

Chap 2 - we learn Ran’s mother is a sorceress who doesn’t visit often... Jin is resentful... Ran hates her dad and brother as she seems to blame them that her mother disappears without saying goodbye!

Chap 1 - awww this is so well drawn! WOWZER! Like 10 stars out of 5 good! It’s a little crazy how she goes from a young girl to a grown woman... LOVE Jin, her brother!!

Chap 50 - Miyuki doesn’t want Kaguya to know they are incompatible due to their pride... so refuses to bring up his birthday which is 4 days away! Kaguya assumes because he wants to celebrate just with her! Hahaha a good way to end this volume!

Chap 49 - hahaha Miyuki is also afraid of fish... so Chika helps him... again... but no need, lol, no live fish to gut...

Chap 48 - hahaha the best chapter... they try to determine if the couple they counseled achieved “nirvana!” So funny...

Chap 47 - awww the elective class was super cute! I love that Kaguya let Miyuki choose and she just chose what he picked! Chika though is so funny with her saying no to music, lol.

Chap 45-46 - awww Miyuki was so great the night of the fireworks rewarding her escape with a drive out to see fireworks! (Because she missed the ones in Tokyo!) then they are so awkward with each other... she pokes him and he misunderstands her words, lol. The will they or won’t they is super cute at times like these!

Chap 43-44 - Chika has her own chapter as she is watched by a ramen foodie... he approved! The Kaguya can’t go shopping because her father calls for her only to say a small thing to her... then she’s told she can’t go to the fireworks either!?

Chap 41-42 - super funny how alike these two are... tho Miyuki is more open to co promise. HE was willing to ask her to do something if she called first... then Ai taught Kaguya about twitter but his acct is protected and she won’t ask to be his friend! Barging in on Ai bathing was super funny though...

A ronin joins them and makes the traveling even more fun! I loved the story of the monk and the kodami visiting after the bear...

Ooh I’m loving the secondary characters... and our demon sword guy!

Awww I love how she wanted to stay with her grandma but was sent back nonetheless... and that end where she married Royce McNarra! So freaking cute and all on her own initiative.

Lol her grandmother is a riot! Love tha5 she helped that woman with her disabled son.

The end of the main story line ended a few pages later... I was very underwhelmed and found the whole thing 2 stars at most... the setting is gorgeous but not much else... what made the volume worthwhile was the creation story about where the painting came from! Very good! As well as the creator sharing many details of how he goes about creating his panels! Perfect for kids who want to get into comic!

Wow the Faith and Ezekiel battles are so good! And secrets are spilling out with the likelikes arrival... I’d be pretty crushed to learn my family isn’t really family... though I’d accept the lying... I don’t see how it could have been any other way.

Chap 47 - I actually don’t think Yona has to become so martial in order to be a good queen... but I like how it makes Hak change his thoughts about her... though it bugs me how clueless Yona is about his feelings!!

Chap 46 - turns out Suwon helped make Yuno’s tea and some gems from their mine become profitable while making it seem like Yuno did it! The EG was quite impressed and realized that was real fire in his gaze during the mock battle! It’s too bad Suwon didn’t get away with kill8n* king Il as he’s be an even better king with Yona and Hak by his side...

Chap 45 - the war games with the dishes is super fun! The EG is sneering but Suwon takes him by surprise making it seem he barely missed him when he could have taken out his dish! Love it... much better! And I do love the EG’s wife, Yuno!

Chap 44 - we meet the Earth General who looked up to Suwon’s father... he finds Suwon worse than king Il... which is a mistake... Suwon decides to hold a mock battle and see the General in action. I found this an incredibly boring chapter... better to have stuck this in between some of the green dragon chapters...

This is so boring... it crushes me... but there is so much info dumping and it isn’t even anything new and it’s just talking heads... GAH I hope it gets better...

Chap 43 - They travel to Iksu the priest... he suggests Yona needs to decide what to do while they wait for the sword and shield to arrive... she talks privately to the priest with a Hak listening... she admits she couldn’t attack Suwon and that her feelings haven’t changed toward him... it makes me sad for Hak who has been watching over her for so long without any return from her...

Chap 42 - we meet the yellow dragon when he stumbles into camp hungry! I love all the character frames, Hak is so funny... but the green and whit pop here too. He agrees readily to travel with them because they feed them!

Chap 27 - turns out Takane wanted Hana to meet Rino because she’s his friend! And it was cute when Mizuki gives Nikola the ear cleaner... he thinks it’s a mini sword to open mail, lol. Hiromi and Okamon’s brother come in from a party... they’re friends! That was cute... I just love this series and how many people are a part of it now!

Chap 26 - uhhh hahaha Takane and Rino gate crash Hana’s friend party at Okamon’s place... Nikola doesn’t really like Rino... Hana is worried Rino will mention her feelings to Takane... turns out though that Rino is a guy!!!

Chap 25 - the girls win a tree and they take it to Takane’s they make a date for Christmas since Hana is free... then a girl he knew in high school stops by and tries to pressure him to meet her but he says h3 has to work! Later Hana meets her and is pressured about her feelings for Takane... she admits she likes him!

Chap 23 - awwwww meeting T’s cousin Hiromi was so darn cute! He wants to be just like him and let things roll off his back and bea man, lol. He’s mean to Okamon’s little brother and she explains T isn’t like that! So he apologized!

Chap 22 - the festival was cute with Mizuki complaining she was dressed as a boy butler so Nicola redressed her! She won, lol. Then Takane had to pretend to be a student, lol... Hana got a picture! He smiled and actually apologized though it made Hana uncomfortable!

Hahaha I love the grandma! It a rather ridiculous book of small town life during the depression but it’s funny. And for book club...
