Chap 4 - she decides to be class rep to make a change in herself. Lou volunteers for the boys because no one else would. And the other two girls in her row signed up for the event committee. I love the group! Love how this is about social skills and putting yourself out there.

Chap 24 - wow! It took Okamon to get Hana to go over to Takane’s and give him what for! He never respected her not wanting him to hang around so why should she respect him?! And Nicola also visited Takane... tried to give him a pep talk! Can’t wait for the next volume!

Chap 32 - poor Takane... humiliated meeting Hana’s father, working in the man’s company... chewed out by his boss. Really down... it was hard to see him like that but worst that he didn’t feel he could face Hana... it made her really sad he couldn’t rely on her.

Chap 31 - well grandpa is really extreme taking even his car, apt and money earned from his job. Takane couldn’t take it and tells Hana he can’t make it...

Chap 30 - hahaha they both go see family and Hana’s grandparents are super cute! Takane talks to his grandfather about Hana and nearly slips up... he says to cut her off now if she won’t protect Takane. She sends him a text to cheer him up so he buys her an ivory mocha, lol. Then he finds out his accounts have been frozen?!

Chap 29 - Mizuki has her feelings hurt by Nicola, so Takane tells her Mizuki’s feelings are her own, but she (Hana) has feelings too and should tell N! They find him moping and she tells him to explain to Mizuki... later Takane grills for her all bundled up so he doesn’t get burned, lol.

Chap 28 - awww his surprise was soooo cute! And he hunted her down when she wasn’t there! She totally forgets what she tells him. Still I like that she realized she may have fibbed to Ringo about her feelings! And he’s so cute when she gets him a present!

Chap 24 - portents of doom come out... destroy the city of salt they found... one of the girls from the nous goes to the twins offering them power... probably to stop Suou’s plan to get off the mud whale... a dream he has built a world of hope on.

Chap 23 - The twin miles try to talk the marked into “expelling” the unmarked because they are useless and protect themselves. Ouni comes and opposes them causing the people to dispel! The hidden captain of the guard comes and points out to Ouni they both have the curse!

Chap 22 - they find a tower where time was damaged... a man is there a prince from a kingdom that collapsed 100 years ago... Chakuro offers to take his memories so he doesn’t have to remain there any longer!!

Chap 21 - the council of elders, Suoh and Rochalizo decide to work toward them leaving the mud whale knowing the nous eats the marked lives. They will keep it a secret from the short lived marked but it gives the marked hope for their marked children!

Wow! This started really good! It has everything that was missing in Chaos in Kadoma Ward! What is up with her memories though? Why are they fading? And how did that creep buy her?

Hmmm crappy situation not sure I’d agree to this myself...

An odd cross of a romance in the middle and a revolution hostile takeover in the end!

This is lovely slice of life right now with a touch of romance...

Uhhh the judge cleared her but also put her in a precarious situation! Pretty neat though seeing the law in action!

GAHHHHHH SO BORING... at least she learned something but I still feel the whole book was a waste to read... I could have skipped this one and jumped right to the third... 😣

Yeah so her aunt is an ass and get sev to admit everything... she’s going to trade the papers for a cease on the invasion.

That was unexpected about her mother and Howl!!

Chap 25 - we’re going to training over the break... but the black queen wanted to say goodbye to Kyutaro so Fumi allowed her too... she asked him to remember she existed... he was talking to the black queen when he said she was a good girl...

Chap 24 - they got home safe after his sister and brother-in-law come to stop the silver snakes! He has nightmares having gotten so weak but Fumi is there to soothe him not realizing he loves her too! Fun seeing the duo in action!

Chap 23 - we learn Ataru loved a girl Rumi ... they were the most promising at the orphanage they were being experimented on at. They twisted her and she couldn’t handle being the dark queen and killed herself so she wouldn’t kill Ataru! Fumi untwisted his emotions back to their original form!

Chap 22 - Kyutaro helps her to understand why her power cuts out and then holds the chains do she can get Ataru out! Then she cuts him open to reveal everything that caused it. Ultimately this is about partnership... true partnership!! Love the quick battles the art is so good!

Chap 21 - Fumi faces her black queen realizing its true name is self esteem! Quite a female empowerment story! You have to face the malice of others and stand up for yourself to not allow it to fester in you. There is another door she was protecting but Fumi has to leave it for the time being...

Hmmm boring still... I was going to DNF but the convo between Howl and her was decent. I think she’s stupid as a stump TBH but at least they made a deal and no more overwrought conflict with the one person who cares enough for you not to run off or turn traitor when the Reds appear. I like June and Taige but that’s them to a T.

This is a really muddled start... slow and boring...

I’m confused... this is hard to get into 😅

Pretty great! Not a perfect ending but totally spot on and hopefully realistic.

Dineas is having a hard time as his clan doesn’t trust him... the bridge of ships is a cool idea!
