16 - hahaha we meet Ranmaru’s parents who are NOT what you’d think when you learn they’re fishermen! They help close in on a director the art squad is tracking down... so, so, so funny! His nickname is sardine! Weak but tasty. Lol

25 - Shiva and Teacher map out where to go and head off the next morning... when he gets caught up in worries Shiva tries to cheer him up by mak8ng funny faces so his worries “ fly away “ it’s too cute! He does stop and tell her a little. Her attitude is the best! Perfect for his worrisome nature. They seem to have arrived in the right area!

24 - The screaming fit between these two... a father and an illogical daughter was so darn cute! Hahaha he even started screaming... in the end though aunt gave them a solution with her apple pie recipe... and a new house they could go to! I love how Shiva says say sorry later and I’ll do the same, lol.

The art in this chapter is so, so good... I truly felt the ominous intentions of the soldiers just by how the art was framed!

23 - Shiva’s anger causes a Teacher to leave and see the other headless one... there he is attacked by two crow headed soldiers turned when he helped Shiva. They take his horn, stab him and pull him under water... a whale other distracts the soldier and Teacher gets away... but now he knows the soldiers want Shiva as a sacrifice so they can go home...

22 - Shiva is very upset... she feels that by keeping this from her she wasn’t allowed to try to help her aunt... teacher just wanted to protect her but Shiva makes a good point... didn’t you want to protect auntie too... well, no, not really since she did abandon you. We learn she was forced to do it by soldiers and it saved her life because they didn’t kill her.

21 - they learn the fate of auntie... those who had a soul corrupt much faster than those without... a tree is the end. Shiva is upset teacher knew her aunt’s memory was fading. The king from inside has had a new revelation from the father...

Hmmm I really enjoyed this! The women are ridiculous at points and the blame game got a little overboard but I really loved the end with his daughter.

39 - The two sisters of the whale each have a plan... one wants the twins to sail away with the marked to be eaten... the other thinks that’s boring and wants to unleash Ouni... he sees Masoh who tells him being a Geri means being alone and to just go for it... he confronts the delegation... he’ll do the killing but not for free...

37 - They lock up the vigilante commander in prison and keep Suou separate from the other unmarked... Lykos leaves the mud whale... Ouni hides... the twins want the marked to set sail... some agree... Chakuro wants to become a soldier for them! The brothers see their father is afraid...

35 - Turns out the duke and R have a plan to use the mud whale and the marked as soldiers against Lycos kingdom. It seems R is treated as worthless and this will make his star rise... his brothers, especially the one right above him are ruthless. Suou declines and the duke says the unmarked will become hostages.
