She’s also quite a drama queen. Just acts like she’s dying if she doesn’t get her way. I honestly don’t see her trying that hard to learn about her sister. I feel like I’m reading slice of life about a genuine teen whom I think is not a good person. I’m not really sure she is mourning at this point either. I wish I could connect with her more.

I didn’t mind this chick in the beginning but she’s a bit of a hypocrite. Calls people out on their choices then hates on her mom for calling her out on her own. She is like a teenager and thinks adults get to “do whatever they want” which just isn’t reality. If she doesn’t get a reality check by the end though I’m going to be upset... teens can’t go into life thinking there are no checks and balances.

Oh wow! Was that cute!! I sure love this little girl. She drives off a soldier harassing vendors with a necklace she thought was cursed with homesickness. Haha but it wasn’t! She was so mad that her magic Worked!

4 - she meets Prince Alan next when he confronts her for making his fiancée fall in love with her haha. The same way he supposedly falls for the heroine he falls for her and they become friends. Loved the whole fake snake thing with Jerod!

3 - next she befriends Mary Hunt the younger daughter of a noble family. She tells her she has a green thumb accidentally stealing the line of the guy Mary is supposed to fall in love with.... haha I love this cooks girl! She sure is in a spot.

2 - she meets Keith her adopted brother who falls for the heroine because of loneliness. To combat the bad ends she decides to dote on him just as she would have if she’d had a younger brother in her previous life. She’s pretty over the top.

1 - this teen girl wakes up in a game. After figuring that out she tries to plan how not to end up with the horrible endings... A sadistic prince gets engaged with her... which is the first step to her doom.

I just love T so much!! He makes life a joy... but I love how H reacts to T too. It’s a neat friendship.

5 - wow... I knew H had also been moved by T’s art but when he tells T at the end after their performance together it was so moving! Their performance wasn’t perfect but they were in sync so everyone loved it. I didn’t understand what the guy in the hood was about. I thought it might be H but didn’t see how it fit. TBH I still don’t. But it’s not solely about mental health.

4 - the day to play at the cafe finally arrives. He tells Hikari to raise his right hand to perform with him and his left if he enjoyed his first song... well he raised his right hand!!! T was surprised the audience seemed to enjoy it but was over the moon about Hikari.

3 - the boys bet on a game of backgammon. Hikari wins and wants to know why T quit art class. Well his horrible teacher was going to take a box cutter to his art so he grabbed it with his bare hand. He’d been Xing out the pictures with a red pen but when T confronted him he escalated. The horrible this was it was the teacher’s own hang ups about his talent that drove him to act this way. So real to life!

2 - Hikari starts to train T. It was pretty funny. T tries to find out about H’s history. He choked during a performance after struggling t9 play. Then he cried. Not sure what’s going on but he says it’s not his fingers. Sakura found a cafe where beginners can play in from of an audience.

Reading chapter 1 a second time was helpful. T dreams lots of daydreams... like the one about a special guitar that will bring out his talent. Instead he perseveres and I love that message. There are no shortcut routes!

1 - the best thing about this first chapter is how upbeat, energetic and persevering Taiyou is! I also love the cheerful girl Sakura that he likes and is good childhood friends with. She has a neat cheering charm, writing a positive note on your hand. Hikari is a good kid whose love of making music seems to have been cut short. I like that he admired T’s perseverance and agreed to teach him.

5 - the Kodama teacher’s body is really breaking down. She realizes the little kodama who hasn’t grown a flower is actually totally the most powerful one! He just doesn’t want their teacher to go. Then that guy stomped on a kodama! He wants the book of the dead too.

4 - we met a mysterious man who has tricks to deal with and capture spirits, Kamo Chihaya. He knew the boy before and “now has something to report” about the girl. Loved the little thunder and rain spirits too!

3 - she learns about Azare, a spirit that eats old things. It’s his time to pass on. He knew the researcher, Moro tells her he was a boy who could see the spirits... like her. He drew all the spirits he saw. Azure wanted the self portrait of the boy to crossover. Moro rides the cat like a mount haha.

2 - Moro eats... a lot! She gets to school and we see a dead tree blooming and we meet Rie (girl) and Misaki (boy). At lunch her lunch box is empty too! At home she learns the tree was being passed thru to the spirit world. Her dad wants her to find the book of the dead so they can find out about her mom. She helps a spider spirit pass over using food.

1 - great intro! We meet Moro the guardian between the spirit realm and the living realm. The house has a crossing. She also met a dragon and a large baby like spirit who was scary. The dragon helped her but was also going to drag her to the spirit realm if Moro hadn’t pulled her back.

The last chill zones were cute... my fav was Subaru asking why not him... and Asahi explaining haha

Last chapter - Haru her brother hears the WDG when he’s young. Seeing her mope older he tells her he heard her name from the creepy pond. Sheruns back and finds him! He asks her to become his bride!...? Which is creepy tooas she’s in highschool and he looks like the WDG!

43 - the other gods gather the few droplets that survived of WDG and send him to Asahi’s world. He waits from the past to the present and starts to fade. He sees her as a little girl.

42 - he takes her to the lake but she just wants to fade into him and let him eat her... which his body will do even without him wanting it... so Subaru pulls her away from him and pushes her into the lake. She goes back... and cries but it doesn’t rain. Yet we see the WDG meet the god of death again.

Subaru walks her home and takes the time to tell her he loves her even if she heart and spirit will be far from him. She runs to the WDG realizing she needs to tell someone she loves him too! It’s very sweet how one caused the other. And WDG starts crying... realizing it scares him to leave behind this love.

41 - WDG explains that before he loses all his power he wants to send Asahi home. She tells Subaru she’s decided to go home but wants to make memories before she goes. They have fun. She goes to ask Tsukihiko if he’d want to return to his mother’s time. No she’s here.

A really boring first chapter... I’m still interested but I hope we aren’t told everything like this because it’s not pertinent. Get us caring first!! Don’t put me to sleep!

5 - they find her dad’s friend... the rebel blows himself up but Mother shields herself and combines her sons for not checking for magic. What a waste of a life. Dad gets stabbed and pulled into the water. Telsa is forced to do what she didn’t want to... get the kid off planet. A couple of black pages later we see dad survived!

4 - oooh Some badassery by Bandit, and Dad! Love the turtle ride. The “trap” was neat too! Mother also has someone locked up by her private quarters...? The watercolor art is really quite neat. Loved rolling down the hill.

3 - Dad decides they’re going off planet. Mila learns her dad knows a lot of stuff he shouldn’t... when they run into a giant creatures he tries to send her off but she won’t go and Bandit takes action ... We also switch between the past when her mom was lost... so freaking sad how she goes!

2 - Mila finds a robot! And turns out it knows her dad.... Mothers puts an eye creature on the scavenger planet’s king. Scary! Mother’s men come for her dad and it doesn’t look good for him. I did love the unexpected end and Mila’s role in it. She’s on her adventure now! Loving the art...
