Jeez sig is so irrationally shitty all the time, just pull yourself together woman ugh! and other than being really good looking I don’t understand why they’re all falling at her feet to be with her. It actually doesn’t really make sense to me that John wants to be with her. I wish they didn’t push their relationship or maybe waited longer than two days for John to be like yep I love her!

Yep I remember now how much sig annoys the crap out of me with her whiplash hot and cold. Jeekers woman get yourself together🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ Also it’s super sad about his dead fiancé.

Haha jeekers I forgot how unnecessarily intense everyone is towards John! They’ve not even known him 24 hrs, he owes them nothing and yet they all want to pick a fight with him or are disappointed when he doesn’t immediately want to sing kum-by-ya with them. His fight against path is pretty badass though.

Rereading this to hopefully finish the series this time but had to remind myself what’s going on. I fricking love John he’s just the best. Someone compared his narration to micheal in burn notice I 100% agree. I love that he’s super sarcastic but actually really smart and competent to back it up. The world building is great too. Honestly still not sure if I love sig she kinda annoys me but that’s not new haha

I liked elvis and I liked that beyond all of the political moves of his higher ups his motivation really came down to that he really did love his friend, and wanted to avenge him. I liked that you got the impression that both of the characters could maybe move on from this into something more, something better for themselves as people. Very good very interesting story with a different vibe I haven’t seen before.

I also liked that the two characters although crossing paths throughout the book don’t actually speak to each other until the epilogue that was really different. I’ll admit that maite did start to annoy me at times with her terrible self image and outlook but at the same time you understood it. The ending was a very good conclusion a bit of action and then an open ambiguous and almost hopeful ending.

I had a bit of a break from this one but that was more me slumping than the book.Really enjoyed this story. With no knowledge of the political scene in Mexico in the 70s I think I definitely missed some things but it was still relatively easy to follow. I liked the writing style and the recurring motifs in each characters chapters, life being a story and everyone fitting a role in maite and elvis internal soundtrack

Elvis has really grabbed me, hes interesting in his attempts to better himself and the way that he is smarter than he lets on. I like that hes intrigued by maite without having met her yet but realising that they have similar tastes. I actually like that they haven’t met yet but are getting closer and closer in just missing one another. Maite is interesting too that she wants to be the heroine but isn’t quite

I’m very intrigued so far. The writing style is interesting and easy to read. The two main characters are really cool too so far, I feel bad for them though a bit and hope that they get some sort of happy ending. I like that elvis loves music and books and doesn’t really want to be an enforcer. And Maite is interesting too with her kleptomania and telling white lies to try make her life seem more interesting.

I liked reading from Thomas POV. It was interesting to have that difference to the main series. This takes place at the end of the third one and it was actually cool to have it fleshed out a bit more from his perspective, made their reconciliation make more sense rather than feeling rushed like it did in the third one. Thomas is my favourite so I liked that it was focused on him.

I liked it, it was a little angst and then a very wholesome ending. Quick sweet read. Enjoyed the illustrations too.

Considering helping people transition into the after life is literally supposed to be their job/calling, this is a straight up shit show!! He rightly ran away and saw some straight up nightmare fuel and we’ll all just breeze over and get mad at him instead. Talk pointlessly about tea for way too long and encourage questions and then laugh and call them stupid. I’m not loving this vibe of just bullying Walter🙄

Not gonna lie so far not loving this one as much as the house in the cerulean sea. I feel like everyone is just being unnecessarily assholes to this guy who has just found out he’s dead! I mean of course he’s going to be in denial for a bit. His reaper is an idiot and very irritating. Fingers crossed it picks up when Hugo comes into it because yeah Walter was a hard ass workaholic but I just feel bad for him now

This was a good quick read about the spring siblings. I liked it, I liked the relationship between them. It was very easy to read too which I liked. This is a companion piece to the comic heartstopper and it was cool to see how the author went writing a book rather than a comic. Loved that there was still some illustrations though that was a nice touch.

This is very sweet. I read it on WEBTOON and finished it all so far, the art style is awesome. I really love Charlie and nick they’re very awkward but very loveable. It captured the awkwardness of attempting romance in high school. I like it’s approach to mental health too. Very wholesome. The Netflix show was a very good adaptation and I liked that you could tell the creators was really involved.

I liked that bee and starling reconciled and had a dance together too. Tag pulled through at the end which was great.A little bit of a bittersweet ending but I liked it all the same. I not sure exactly what it was but I just loved the vibe of this book and the setting. I liked how he was described as a celestial rather than a cliche martiany kind of thing.Really really enjoyed it, will keep an eye out for the author

4.5 really loved it! It was such a pretty book to read with beautiful descriptions. I loved the characters even though bee and tag annoyed me a little you could get why they acted the way they did. Starling and deltas romance was beautiful I loved it. Them dancing and the wishing well were so lovely. I liked how strong delta was at the end when she stood up to the town.

Oh dear the shit hath hiteth the faneth. Also just realised that tag is basically Kyle from season 1 of Roswell. Didn’t love how he turned the problem around to all be deltas fault, if you don’t want to be like you dad then fucking decide to be difficult🙄 also I think the point is that all the complications are from them being so human, with insecurities and emotions getting the best of them like jealousy ect

Aw I just feel really bad for delta, bee and tag, none of them are where they want to be right now. Tags life seems pretty shit and his fight with delta was real sad. I feel so bad for poor delta trying to hold everything all together. Her and starling dancing together was super sweet though. I don’t trust the sheriff though, just a bad vibe I don’t know

I’m really liking this so far. I really love the writing style, it’s kind of like the lady who wrote the ‘weight of feathers’. I like the characters so far and his alien-ness is pretty cool, how he’s made of starlight. I’m enjoying the relationship between delta and bee. And I like that we see different perspectives a bit too. The mayor seems like a truly intimidating baddie too which is intriguing.

And she gets away with it which just doesn’t seem right. It was pretty good as a classic mystery with a limited number of charcoal and clear and tricky clues to follow along the way. I’ll admit I fell for the red herrings so well done Agatha. A good read for sure

Well that was a bit tricky. Not gonna lie it lost my interest for a while there as it really rehashed the same day over and over again. And I almost feel a bit jipped by the ending because he lays out all the hints we’ve gathered that it’s the sister and even that the accused thought that and then it flips to being the mistress who is awful but you couldn’t really have put it together without his wrap up.

Im still liking it but it does drag on a bit I’m up to the written accounts of the crime by the witnesses now and it does get a little repetitive reading the same day 5times.Also I feel like now Ive no clue what’s going on everyone seems shonky as hell and I need a murder board with strings to keep track where everyone stands.Also the outdated views on ‘youth’ and men and women is a bit ridiculous now days

I’m really enjoying the unreliable narrator element of this story. I like that it’s a cold case and so poirot is only working off peoples recollections. I like that everyone has a different view of the accused and how obviously biased each account is. So far my working theory is that it was a prank gone wrong by the younger sister and the older sister took the fall for it🤷🏻‍♀️

This was pretty cool! I liked that they showed that dick is actually really smart and capable rather than just the ‘happy’ robin, especially because he’s a fairly troubled guy. The inner monologue throughout it was cool and the mystery was pretty good too. I liked him and Gordon working together as detectives. Barbara’s brother was creepy as hell though. All in all I really enjoyed it.

There was some new characters that I really liked, like temper Frey he seems cool. But there was also some new ones that I didn’t love like the Scottish teacher she’s a bit too quirky but I guess it’d be nice for Val to have a friend. Not sure about some of the new baddies but we’ll see. The last chapter was really sweet with how happy skulduggery was that Val is finally properly back.

It was interesting to read about the shift in skulduggery and Valkyries partnership, and I liked seeing both of them interact with omen. With Valkyrie in the mentor position and skulduggery trying to do things differently with omen to do better. I also really like how open they are about the fact that they love each other, platonic soulmates. I liked omen quite a bit too, I think he could be really great.
