I really like jake, I’m super proud of his new attitude to life and how much he loves the bees. I wish that there was a little more about the interactions between the characters, they still feel quite separate with the chapters dedicated to a character each. Still honestly not that interested in Harry🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s sad that they’re all just a little broken. I really like Jake and Alice, I’m not that invested in Harry yet but I think they could be a cute like found family eventually. Jake and Alice are sweet together and I hope they become great friends.

This has definitely taken a weird turn that I’m not sure I love;/ the whole alternate dimensions thing seems weird and I don’t love that kazimer is now a 18 year old human, only because I definitely wasn’t picturing him young. And he isn’t young, he’s still ancient he just looks young but it honestly doesn’t make it better. I don’t like the evil dragon lady ‘repopulating’ dragons thats just weird

End of part one, whoo that was crazy. It all got pretty crazy with them all coming together to make the prophecy come true. Like ugwai says though they meet destiny on the path to avoid it so I think it’s all just still playing out. A few good twists. I feel real bad for poor indoctrinated Malcolm, I really hope he can become better for Nelson because I thought they were really sweet together.

I’m really enjoying this so far. I had thought they’d be shapeshifters but I like the dragon as just a cool dragon kind of like in the movie dragon heart. The 1950s setting adds an interesting layer to the story too, about how people’s attitudes were just after ww2. I like Sarah and Malcolm so far.

Such a good crime mystery. I find Will such an interesting character, I like that he is mild mannered but has somewhat of a feral energy when needed, kind of like Charlie cruise who is quirky but scary when needed. I really like the dynamic between faith and will as they both try to work each other out and work out how to be partners. Very very good read, definitely my favourite Will Trent book!

Rereading this one just after finishing the latest one really made me realise how much Karin did Will dirty, his character isn’t even really a character in the new stuff. I’m this one he is really interesting and layered with an intriguing background and inner monologue whereas in the new stuff he just happens to be there and then Sarah has some drama with him, he really takes a back seat to Sarah shit🙄

Bloody hell I feel like Karin could ease up on some of the gruesome details, I think my uterus has retreated up into my rib cage for safety😬

The details of the crime maybe don’t have to be quite so intense 😬 it’s pretty gruesome

Maybe because the first one I read was a Will Trent book and not a grant county, so I didn’t get to fall in love with the characters, but I’m kind of over it, I feel like it’s already been covered in other stories about Jeff and Sara loving each other whilst also being toxic as shit which honestly seems like the only relationships she knows how to have.I mean we all know Lena is crazy and dodgy this is not new

I kinda wish that Will just got to work a case for once, actually be the main character without all of Sara’s bullshit! It’s kinda interesting to read the chapters from the past about Jeffrey working the case and the present with will, and I like Will and faith being proper partners but I just don’t like Sara🙄 she’s unbelievably hot and cold and poor will has to play second fiddle to a ghost forever

So far it is pretty spot on to the tv show which is pretty cool, props to them for that. I’m enjoying it so far

I hate that she brings feminism into it all the time when that’s not the issue here. She uses it to win arguments that are not even remotely about that. The issue is not that you’re a woman, it’s that you cheated. And definitely didn’t actually work through that as a couple 🙄

This book is bringing me to a screeching halt. I find so many of the characters unlikeable and now they’ve added another of her grandmother who is such a horrible old women who of course knows best whilst having literally zero context. Audrey is so bipolar in this book it’s not funny🙄
