The second half of this book is much much better than the first. It’s really picking up it’s pace now and the mystery is very twisty and turny.

Really fucking hate the sisters! They’re just a bunch of creepy little psychopaths who make me really uncomfortable. I don’t like them cutting her flowers it feels really bad to read. I wish there was more of Sam and miel together and less of people being insensitive to Sam being transgender and miel having ptsd.

Well I guess that happened… the book was left so unbelievably open ended and seemingly there is no sequel. And all the unanswered questions and plot holes were basically answered with ‘but we’ve seen the future and we know you win so…’ what a weird weird weird weird book. Felt like a very rushed and lazy ending

Honestly such a bizarre fucking twist. The author really went with time travelling all knowing gay flamboyant aliens as the answer…?
Also nothing was fucking achieved they massively failed at their end lab and with like 5 pages left the aliens are like all good you’ll work it out and win the war because we’ve already ‘seen’ you do it haha🤷🏻‍♀️🙄

The fucking starry eyed just waltz in like the three stooges and completely ruin any tension that was built and make this book seem like such a joke. This book is so fucking weird! I like the two characters and their story is very sweet but I actually don’t understand the overarching storyline at all. And like his brothers a good guy now after being set up as the villain the whole book?! what is happening ?!?

What the actual fuck!! Ellie seemingly just died and it’s super emotional and then the fucking glam rock musicians just waltz onto the scene like don’t worry we’ll save her because we’re the other fucking type of alien 👽 that’s seemingly clairvoyant. This reads almost as badly as and it was all a dream!!

I’m really unsure about the little exerts between chapters about the starry eyed band. Are they supposed to be the characters later or did the music inspire the characters?? Was the singer a seer or some shit. why are the songs so obviously about the story but we’re written first?!?
Really weird book but the love story is quite sweet. The dancing scene in the diner was so beautiful and sad all at once
