Really great story. It has mystery, ghosts, family drama, a lite romance drama, town hustory, a foggy atmosphere and much more. Fast paced and addictive.

This is my problem with really long series, I eventually end up dislikeing everyone. Oh how I dislike Bell, Haven, Archeron... Also I was promised more Stolas. Demelza and Ravius are the onky ones holding me to the story now, and maybe Nasira.

This is a really great story so far. It does justice to chronic illness (feelings, isolation, soical aspects). This is definitely YA, modern contemporary YA. There are a lot of things my old butt has to look up because I don't understand the references. Also in the texting it is realistic (they don't use full worlds, sentences or punctuation) so it's a bit difficult for me. It doesn't reduce my enjoyment through.

The author had the chance to make a stronger heroine but didn't. Grace is very young and childish. Also most of the entire book so far, almost 400 pages is based on "miscommunication/I'm to scared/tired/confused to ask anything and clear up any lingering issues." One of my biggests pet peeves. That said, still a fun story.
