Heading to bed, but wanted to say: Yes, the peril in this book has been escalated to global-war scale, though still in the hands of a 15yo girl... While reducing the scope of the actual story to one of living in an age of Internet celebrity, where the blogosphere is the real dystopia...

I'm not enjoying this one as much as the others. I really dislike Shay & the Cutters, and there's way too much peril. By the end of this book (or the start of the 4th), they'll have to be on the verge of global peril to keep this terribleness up.

Going to start this tonight.

Listened to ep's 15 & 16 tonight.

Ishmael's changes are ramping up, through ep's 13 & 14.

Got through a chunk yesterday, should be able to finish today.

Still working through books I borrowed from people & never read, this one from @kultrshok.

Episodes 7&8 went as expected. I fear this book will have as telegraphed a through-line as the last one.

By this point I have almost entirely lost track of the scores of ridiculous and similarly-named characters appearing and disappearing out of nowhere. This makes the ridiculous plot (& worse dialogue) a bit more difficult to follow.

Got through 200 pages of this mess yesterday; maybe I'll finish it today.

May I never write like this, please? Ugh. I thought I'd read something by Heinlein before; perhaps it was not as awful as this?

Yet another book borrowed 8+ years ago that I have never gotten around to reading.

Ep's 5&6 today; getting to know the new ship.

I'm not sure I care, but I'm going to finish it anyway.

Listened to the first 2 episodes this morning. Thought I'd grabbed the wrong book at first, when the story jumped forward over four year's of Ishmael's story. Just about past the recapping-flashbacks part of the book & looking forward to the story moving forward again.

Hoping this book lasts until they finish working on my car.

I'm not sure I like how... plotted... this book has been. Or how obvious the trajectory has been at every step along the way.

Ep's 8&9 went as expected, but the mystery of the ship's failure has held my interest where "wondering" whether Ishmael would stay aboard did not.

I want my book on writing & publishing to be both more personal and less ego-filled than this book. More intimate, more about me, less technical, less detailed, less about making me seem great - more about the work & the process.

Ep's 5-7 would have been more interesting if what's coming weren't so obvious to me.

Episodes 3&4 really gave Ishmael the chance to do that hero-thing & exceed even the capabilities of the skilled, experienced, capable crew around him. Because he's the hero, and that's what happens in books. Good listen, but Yech.

Just heard the first 2 episodes. Gradually working my way through this delightful series.

Chapters off ship are as good as those onboard. Ep's 10&11 were quite fun.
