I *almost* feel like a bad reader for only skimming footnotes 146 & 147, though I did read straight through 144, if you know what I mean.

Circular and otherwise non-linear footnotes are becoming deliciously complex, now. We are in the labyrinth.

Actually, I just finished reading 60pp of Appenidix (Obituary & letters)... I have a feeling page counts in this are tricky...

Exploration A was very intense. I can *feel* this book.

Very compelling, so far. Hope I can finish in time. Need to pause for lunch.

That was a ... Sharp, unexpected ending. Games for Gustav being the most affecting pages in the book, and coming after its ending.

...and now a novel that may be in the neighborhood of my own writing (as opposed to the formulaic adventure books so popular)

Love the physics references mixed with deep & intuitive meaning, here & throughout this book.

Phoenix library system doesn't seem to have her pulitzer prize winner, so I'm reading the ones that were available.

Undoubtedly unfinished, the first book of a series. A "steampunk" book that eschews steam power. A quick read, & well-paced.

Moving to another room, now that there's sunlight about.

...and our two storylines have quite literally crashed into one another, just past halfway through the book.

Back to reading.

This is way too fun, so far. I'm not sure it's in my calling to write this way. But fun to read it, eh?

I don't know how I feel about that ending. The sudden shift to a crime thriller for 50 pages was interesting, though.

Starting again. Should be done in a few hours, if the pacing keeps up.

Engaging, so far, if VERY different from the TV series.
