I'm sorry that I've been bad with reading this. Shout-out to Nenia for being uber patient with our buddy read. Or she's thankful because the book is terrible. :P I will conquer this book tomorrow after chores. hahahaha (I hope).

I'm trying really hard to get over my reading slump, which I don't think has anything to do with my currently reading pile. I don't know if it's depression/mania mood mix that I've been on for a while, or that I've just been really busy with gardening and other chores. Or both. But tomorrow I plan after my chores to sit down and read.

I decided that I'm going to dnf. I pretty much know the book/ending, and I just don't care to read this. I enjoyed Divergent but hated Insurgent, so I just don't see the point in reading this one. I might change my mind eventually. *shrugs*

Really? Is the author unaware that transmen get periods, technically? And what about transwomen? So this book is also cis-normative? Now, I'm really judging?

Well in the actual book they did separate new and dark moon, I don't know why they didn't in the intro. Also this focuses on moon = goddess(es) and sun = god(s).

Not only is the author Wiccan (okay, normally doesn't bother me, but I'm taking a break from "Wicca-centered" books), but a book about moon phases doesn't even mention the dark moon?

THIS IS REALLY GOOD. I started reading this last night and I could not put it down.

I love how authors don't research the origins of myth in context. I will have to elaborate with sources later. In the original myth and in context: Yes, Persephone was kidnapped, but it was more like be my wife be my queen, and you'll be your own independent person. I just picked up some library reads for a book challenge that ends this month, so I can finish the challenge. Also finish the buddy read with Nenia. And I got some early birthday gifts of books. I said thank you to everyone. :D

That's really creepy. Who thinks of their loss of virginity when dealing with someone they think is a child? It seems kind of random. LOL At least his loss of virginity was semi-realistic.
