Can't Buy My Love: How Advertising Changes the Way We Think and Feel
This is really interesting. She makes some good points. I don't agree with every single thing she says, but there is a lot of valid points in here.

While telling someone to go seek a psychiatrist is a problematic insult, the surgeons response made me lol Especially since he's a huge jerkface. :P

This is really pulpy. It feels like your standard medical thriller with some misogyny, a touch of racism and fat-bashing thrown in. It was written in 1981, but feels decades older. Not too bad, other than the things mentioned above.

Myra's the one I love the best of all, it don't matter that I never bore her. She was mine anyhow.
Reminds me of my grandmother that partially raised me.

This book is subtly slowing building up to something. Can I talk about how beautiful this prose is though? This is pretty much a guaranteed keeper at this point.

This book is kinda ridiculous, but at the same time I'm highly amused. Also slight purple prose like whoa.

DNF because I have way too many books to read and this book isn't keeping my attention. I can't be arsed to finish this. I'm kinda disappointed :( I usually enjoy her mysteries.

I don't remember her characters usually being this unlikeable. Blah. I'm tempted to DNF. This isn't really holding my attention. Kinda disappointed so far. :(

I was thinking of making a checklist of triggers to look out for while reading, so I can trigger warn in reviews if that book contains X thing. So comment if there is anything you want me to be aware of for reviews. I'm going to list the triggers in a comment below as well.

Things are getting...Interesting.
I'm loling at the constant reference of how all these sisters are "just empty vessels waiting to be filled"
by cock
with love.

I don't REALLY want to hear mansplaining about abortion. Especially when it makes the woman in question sound like an irrational child. How lovely. Fuck off.

You know, yes, this book is a lot like LOTR, but it is an easier, less challenging read.
