Damn some of this stuff is insane. The prophecy involving the Native Americans is the definition of #WhitePeople, and the hunting down of women who escape is just fucked up. Don't even get me started on the child abuse.
But the book itself is really good, I can't put it down.

About to go through the f-list. Some of these people haven't been active in over a year+, like absolutely nothing. So don't worry, because I can guarantee if you are reading this now you are safe. LOL

This is okay? I'm neither spellbound nor raging. I wish there was some of my fave characters from the show were in the book. They haven't showed up yet.

I think I'm reading an abridged version...I need to update which book I now own. They cut out a lot of her school days. I need to get an unabridged version also. lol

Time to get some reading done. :D
This is pretty accurate for me reading. Tonight is Jane Eyre, True Blood, and Wild Bells to the Wild Sky. :D
Hopefully I make some headway. :D

You all realize that the first queen Elizabeth is too badass to be assassinated, right?
Instead of Queen Bey, think Queen Liz. :P

So far this is pretty much the first episode of the first season. I want to re-watch the show again. :P

I'm a sucker for anyone really close to their grandmother and/or raised by one. I was partially raised by one of my grandmothers who is like my second mother to me (literally?), so blame my sentimental heart.
Shout-out to my grandmother who even in her early 70's is as sassy and badass as ever. Where do you think I get it from? :P

Sookie already annoys me. She didn't annoy me so much in the show. (But that could be because of my crush on Anna Paquin. I had a crush on her since Fly Away Home. A childhood movie staple of mine. I haven't watched it in over a decade though).
She's awkwardly cute. Also gap teeth can be cute :P

In my second reading of this book. I think this was the start of my liking of Jane. My heart went out for her when she was being abused at that house. Very tragic. Charlotte does not hesitate to bring the gloom and doom.

Dnf, actually. So many books to get through on my shelf, so little time. I'm sad because the first book showed potential in the series, but this book is extremely sexist and I'm not here for this. Slut-shaming all around unless you are the MC and what would be considered the "good girl". So, BYE. I probably will not continue this series.

I don't remember the first book being so sexist when it comes to other women other than the MC and "good girls". Her fiancé's ex is portrayed basically as a maneater. It's getting pretty trying to continue on tbh.

Our lovely couple seems to be shipwrecked and separated on an island in the Atlantic (near the Caribbean). Also stereotypical voodoo priestess ftw. This book is about to get weird.
