The first story was phenomenal. Creepy gothics are always good in my book.
The second story is more of a modern gothic, and it's really good so far too.

The first story is REALLY good so far. I feel like I'm almost in the setting. I love gothics when the mood is set so perfectly.
Also ominous gloom and doom from the start. >:D
I have a feeling this will be a keeper.

This is really interesting. Some of the advice makes sense, but some of it is making me a tad bit skeptical.

As I've been telling my step-dad every time we discuss my progress on the phone, Cordova reminds me of Kubrick. I'm not sure why, but it's the vibe. I mean have you seen A Clockwork Orange and The Shining. That is some freaky shit. I love those movies tho.

This book is filled with girl on girl hate. Ughhhhh. Also it's really hard to get into this one. I would rather clean my bathroom. *Grump*

I love unreliable narrator (most of the time). I have no idea what is real or not? What is the truth? What is a lie?

Anne is obviously the best part of this book so far. Not just because she's a ginger. :D

Also casual racism and misogyny. Mostly racism. I'm amused but at the same time. This was pretty common back in the day. (Not just back in the day either, tbh).

This had been done without her advice being asked, and must perforce be disapproved.
She would make the worst neighbor/friend ever.

He doesn't recognize her at all. Like I know she has hit puberty and grew boobs, but like people don't usually change
that
much. Why is this such a common trope in romance novels? It doesn't make sense to me.

I REALLY miss reading poetry. I wish poetry was a more popular genre. I love all genres of it from modern day to classics in all their forms. Then again, I am biased for being a poet myself. :P
