The hero is super controlling, and not in the consensual in the bedroom way, but acting like he already owns the place when they aren't even engaged yet. I wish the heroine was like Cersei

But we all know she will be thirsting for his dick half way through the book. *sighs*

DNF because the slight potential this book had nose dived into cliche territory. Not only was this a twilight-esque (granted with potential to be a better than the source material). I've read all these themes before. Wash rinse and repeat. *yawn*

Did the author have Twilight open while writing this? So many similar plot points so far. I wouldn't say plagiarism, but heavily influenced. Except no supernatural occurrences yet.

I already dislike the MC. Not a good sign.

Reading this book is making me feel old. Then again this book was written for a middle-school audience. So it makes sense.

This book is so fucked up. His father had such an obvious influence on him, which is a good thing. I almost get old school King from this book so far. I feel so bad for the girls, Jude I'm indifferent about so far.

Jude reminds me of Evil Dick (of Big Brother fame). Probably why I don't really like him. He's a bit of an asshole.

You can see a lot of his father's influence. I'm not sure how I feel about this book so far. It has potential, but my brain is starting to wander while reading it. I'm sure it will pick up quickly enough.
