It says that I have to read the first two books in the series before attempting this one.

Maybe I'm being a little hasty on my DNF but I'm in that mood. :P

The dedications was odd. For I.E and M.A.S., my parents, who, by randomly introducing a particular sperm to a particular ovum, created (hopefully with pleasure) the eventual author of this trilogy, which is set in the very house in which the coupling took place.

I'm kinda scared to continue. lol

DNF on page 50. Sorry, I'm just too old for this book. Read the ending though.

Wow, so many pop culture references. I don't mind a few, but damn, your overly dated your book.

I don't remember the author's first book being this bad. It wasn't great, but this is bad, so far. It's like R.L Stine but without the nostalgia.

This isn't too bad, but still you two need to talk to each other before storming off, especially if it's a misunderstanding. *rolls eyes*

The narrative in this one is really good so far. Bluntly honest but with a poetic flair.

I do think the author simplifies the sex lives of queer women before the twentieth century. While there were a lot of romantic friendships, to say there no sexual contact between any of the couples is erroneous. If simply because people of all kinds have been having sex since the beginning of our species. Also it's been well documented that Victorians were very perverted. Everything else is good so far.

I love how intersectional this book is with examining the differences between class, race, and even various forms of sexuality (fluidity).

Most of the focus is on the H/h's drama and less about the actual war. Also evil villain is being an evil villain. I'm getting bored.
