People sensitive to violence against animals would probably be best advised to stay away from Cutter's books.

I knew I was going to enjoy the book going in. The world is stepped in a pandemic of 'The 'Gets', a condition that causes the infectee to slowly forget; first little things, then big things and then finally they die not knowing anything.

A mysterious substance with impossible curative properties is discovered around the Mariana Trench, thus cue the exploratory team and fodder for the beastie.

My goal to read at least a hundred pages a day is going well!

I want to get this finished by the end of the week, so my daily goal going forward is to knock out at least a hundred pages a day. And thankfully with the story picking up, that shouldn't be an issue at all.

This book has been absolutely bloody brilliant! It's simultaneously lighthearted, whimsical and dire all at the same time. The two main characters are extremely loveable and well written, and the world in which it's all taking place in is very plainly defined.

So far, it has been somewhat interesting and I really like the Aren and Sora characters.

It took a bit to get going, but we're in rabies town now.

Two bizarre deaths(so far!), a reporter from New York and an abandoned hippie compound from the 1970s? Things do be happening.

Off to a good start. A rancher finds a mutilated steer in his farm with unexplainable damage and no tell tale signs of any known predator.

Call me crazy, but I felt the book was actually better than the movie.

I've decided to break the trilogy book up as opposed to reading it all in one go. Consumption will be easier that way and I can jump to a new book much sooner.

Had a migraine for much of the day today so I didn't get to do much reading, but I did get some in, and that chapter involved the Mos Eisley cantina.

Obi-Wan did a heck of a lot more than simply sever an arm in the book.

Ohhh this is so good; I can feel all that childhood wonderment for the series returning with every page. It goes into so much more detail not found or seen in the movies while still maintaining that wonderful whimsy. It's also so much more violent and political than the film scripts tend to be.

It's also a very quick read, with pages just flying by.

One more horror read before diving into my next big epic fantasy novel.

After dropping Tommyknockers I still wanted something on the horror side of things, but also a quick read before I fell back into my next big 600+ page book.

I typically like to update my page count at 10pm each night, before sleep, but man can King make a upper-class dinner party interesting. The Cherynobl reactor meltdown and fear of radiation and stateside nuclear power plants melting down must have been a big influence on King when writing this one.

This slow burn approach is quite refreshing after the last few horror novels I read being quick to throw punches.
