Feels good being back on Roshar once more.

Going to take another short break from reading following this, then jump back in at the start of the year with book 5 of Stormlight Archive!

They killed my favorite character; I don't care what happens to the rest of these people or their romance now. Please let the Pumpkinhead-like monsters kill them now.

Beginning to get the impression that the author has some deep-seated disdain for anyone over 35 and single. The number of jabs made so far seemed hilariously unnecessary.

Zombie forest critters. Love this authors prose, definitely going to look into more from him.

Holo is perfect.

Love the movie, and so the book can only naturally be better right? And so far, it has been.

If Monstrosity was how not to do a book that is just filled to the absolute brim with monsters, then this is it's antithesis;

How has this book gone unnoticed by me for so long?!

Killing a character by having them being eaten alive was unexpectedly great. Being chewed up while their scream peters out into a gurgle followed by the sound of monstrous teeth grinding flesh and bone was horrific and great.

What happens when you take the basic plot of 'The Stuff', remove the social commentary and make the white goo that's bubbling up from the earth a mutagenic? You get Monstrosity, and woah is it ever filled the brim with monsters.

This has taken me far longer to read than I anticipated, but I've been doing a whole lot of other stuff too. Still keeping in line with my target of two books a month, though.

The Old Ones and Santa Claus both exist in this series universe.

Harry Dresden is like that old friend that regardless of how much time passes between meetings, always feels as if he'd been there every day with you. Such a fun, well written protagonist.

Very interesting structure for a story. Something I haven't encountered before.

Well written. Heartbreaking introductions for the two protagonists. Cosmic horror. Fishing. This book has it all.

I haven't seen this much, death backstabbing and plot twists since A Song of Ice and Fire.

Stuff do be happening. Once I wrap this up-hopefully by the weekend-I am diving right back into my depraved horror.
