Aside from the child prodigy white knight of a main character, this has been a great read so far. There is a lot more story working behind the scene than average for creature-feature a, particularly where the origins of the werewolves are concerned.

I have zero complaints about anything in this book so far.

Got the entire 8 book series for $2 on Kindle. Read three horror novels back to back and thought I might need a nice little slice of farm life pallette cleanser.

Off to a blazingly good start. I can only hope that it keeps up the pace.

Less than a quarter of the book left, and after some fairly predictable events, I am now at a loss as to what direction this might go.

Hit the halfway point. Story is moving at a nice, brisk pace which kind of at odds with the genre. At least that's how I feel.

I got my reading mojo back thanks to my Kindle and having a digital library.

This book had been pretty good so far. Lots of questions and monsters coming up pretty quickly and the characters are pretty interesting, which is more than I could have said for the people in The Ruins.

I am ditching printed books out of necessity due to limited space and no easy means of offloading the often times chunky tomes.

Thanks to the Kindle I received for Christmas, I am slowly transferring my TBR list to epub files.

I think I am officially burnt out on books. Gonna take a break from reading for a bit.

Things are really beginning to pick up now.

Getting my parasitic infection/body horror full

Quite the wild unexpected turn. Before now the book had been fairly formulaic and safe.

The Terror is such a slow moving albeit riveting tail that I needed to add something else to break up the constant dread and oppressive atmosphere, which is odd because I usually love that sort of thing.

So far so good. Gonna be disappointed if the monster ends up being just a polar bear.

I was worried that that I was struggling with Faithful and the Fallen that I was losing the drive to read, but no, it was just the book not being interesting or entertaining enough to hold my interest. Case in point: My absolutely devouring World War Z.

I don't know how I missed the fact that Max Brooks was Mel "Blazing Saddles" Brooks son.
