Bujold has a nice, clean elegant writing style that is easy to follow along without being simplistic and yet still addicting. I hope the book continues on this vein!

Always hearing good things about Bujold, perhaps it's time to give it a try before I dive headlong into one of her longer SciFi series.

Of course I'm still loving this, but I'm not a fan of the way George is sort of having Caesar take charge and attribute several things that Cleopatra supposidly did to him. I'm not sure, I need to do more research on this woman as I think what I know is tainted by Hollywood and rumors.

Can't put this one down.

I have never read a contemporary romance in my life (or a contemporary in general) and it's a bit odd expecting vampires, magical macguffins or supernatural happens to occur and they just not, it's so NORMAL it's...kind of refreshing?

So far Maxwell's writing style is pleasing if sparser then I imagined it would be for a novel of this subject. But I am enjoying it, although Jane's attitude is far, far too modern for my tastes. I've never read the original so I don't know if it's on character or not.

Insomuch as I'm loving it, I find my ADD taking over again and I've been breezing through another book I got in from the library and only have a short time to read. This one has a longer time though, so I'll finish it eventually.

So glad I picked this up, while the beginning dragged slightly, now that I know the characters and understand the situation better I'm loving it. Marianne is exactly like so many silly teenaged girls (and even like me a bit while I was a teen). I find it amusing how little people have changed over the centuries! So well written, absolutely enthralled.

This book is on hold for a bit while I go find something else to read, it's just so...lifeless. It may remain unfinished for now.

I love the online comic (still free thank goodness!) and decided to give the novelized version a try. These stories are a HELL of a lot of fun.
