Sabriel is one of those books that gets better and better with each rereading. I wish I was as strong and capable as Sabriel is!

If things continue on this path it could be one of those books that make you think "Damn I wish *I* wrote this!"

Been craving something of substance, as I've been subtly unsatisfied with what I've been picking up as of late. I think this might be the time for me give it a go!

One Stephen King book I never read and plan on amending this. Loved the movie and the short lived but very well done television series. Anxious to read the book.

Goldstein was doing fine in the book, it moved along at a regular pace, the characters were believable then...she tried tying her mythos and story arc into far too many other stories and childrens books and that's when it starts falling apart. Goldstein stretched herself too far here, as I near the end.

While I have some issues with Lovecraft, the man personally, his stories are indeed horror classics and creepy and Kittredge is a great writer and has built herself a fascinating and creepy world. The vampires she has are certainly not sparkling dreamboats here to watch to sleep gently! I find myself addicted and can't wait to learn more about this fascinating world.

Not a bad novel by any means, I'm interested in seeing where Clare takes the characters.

Getting the motivation to finish this is hard, it's not that it's badly written it's just that nothing has HAPPENED. The gryphon has had her self esteem improved. They're still chatting about the camp, and NOTHING IS HAPPENING. This is part of the reason I don't read the books Lackey co-wrote with her husband, I love the authors stuff dearly but the books she wrote with her husband are snore fests for me :\.

Despite all the plagerism debacle, I picked this series up at the request of a good friend and was surprised at it's fun mediocrity. It's not the BEST paranormal book out there, but one of the better ones. The characters are familiar (and if you know about the plagiarism scandal there's apparently a reason for that) tropes but fun. I've heard not good things about this one though, so who knows?

I'm not really devouring this like I did when I first started reading it, because the action has slowed down to exposition and "war camp" shenanigans and there seems to be no over-reacting plot device other then "there's a war" but here let's talk about the self esteem of a tiny female gryphon? Oookay Lackey, I usually love you and I do like this, it's just not *riveting* reading that's all. Let's hope things pick up

Zipping through this actually, I really like it. I'm on a Misty Lackey kick here for some reason.

The first Terry Prachett book I find myself whizzing through and absolutely loving it. It's hilarious in all the right places and doesn't have the tendency towards pretentiousness which I'm sorry I find myself coming across in a lot of TPrachett books. If I love this book enough will definitely seek out more featuring the Watch of Ankh-Morpork.

I'm surprised by how much I love this book so far, the characters grief is very real, the concepts are amazingly fun and the descriptions themselves can get a little clogged and the names are a bit of awkward... but are at least in theory pronounceable and the story so far is still fantastic. I find myself wanting to be a Kajurai! Screw it if I'm a girl or not!

I had to put this down a bit because I'm starting to loose interest, great idea but the execution...I guess this is one of those books where you keep waiting for the plot to "start". To be honest she's also not making a lot of sense on how these worlds work or how they are synced. I'm assuming she'll explain later.

Spent most of the day reading this, after five plus years it's amazing what I've forgotten, and what an appreciation I have for the world. Which is so easy to get lost in.
