Dida is on page 143 of 325 of The Smoke Thief (Drakon, #1)

While I'm enjoying the novel, the world, her drakon (Dragon) societies and the main character Rue. I'm not really warming up to the "hero" Kit, I sort of wish she had forgone the romance and just had a couple of books of Rue having adventures as a thief in 18th Century London and introduced and built up the romance with Kit, over a series of books rather then just one.

The writing isn't as dream or purple as McKillip can get but it has a simple beauty to it I enjoy. I also REALLY enjoy the non European centric aspect of this, a lot.
