Now I see what the praise is about for her writing .... intriguing

OK so far. We're doing it as read-aloud (my son and I). The writing seems stilted to me, but I like the illustrations.

I've read it before but I am reading it aloud to my youngest son. Funny.

My god -- I love this book and all of its quirkiness.

Still doing a page a day for the entire year, and loving the insights into books and reading and writing.

I like it so far. Lots of dog stories.

Solid adventure and a lovely read-aloud.

Some stories here are right on the mark. Others? not so much.

some stories work and some don't. That's the bane of comic narrative writing, I suppose.

Still recommend this ... a page every day, for the year, and I still look forward to seeing what literary connections are happening today

mostly small vignettes of life as a reporter on the road

I am at the end, and wish I weren't. I'm grateful for boyd's research and insights, and find myself mulling over a lot of information right now. The question of how to frame this work in a positive position of learning is central to where I go from here. I highly recommend this book.
