No surprise that I like his shift into consideration of gaming as potential learning experience. But some of his insights into expanding sense of community rings true, too. We are both alone and not alone. Making sense of the power of that can transform teaching.

Some good points here, particularly about the conflict between the value of a college education (and rising costs) in the era of flattened technology, much of which is free and readily available. A quick scan of index reveals: no mention of MOOCs. How is that possible?

Some initial thoughts: intrigued by notion of encouraging technology use by students outside of classroom to support in-class pedagogy; agree that teaching explicit skills on using digital tools is important; am not intended audience for this book; and I can't help but think the use of word 'naked' to describe face-to-face learning is blatant attempt to sell more books.
