So far I'm finding this a little confusing and not horribly interesting. I'm kind of bummed.

This book is slow and uncomfortable but everyone loves it so I guess I'll keep reading.

I only know Loki through the Marvel movies so I don't know how "authentic" his voice might be to "true" fans but he sounds so much like Loki from the movies and I love it. Thor, too, though he plays a much smaller role. So far, it's just fun and interesting and I'm really enjoying it.

Well. I didn't see that coming. I just wish it had had a bit more of an impact.

I'm really enjoying the sisters so far but some of the dialogue feels very forced and unnatural.

I feel like we're finally getting somewhere.

Her dad is such a jerk. And these time jumps are still driving me crazy.

Reading this out loud with my daughter. It's off to a pretty good start.

The timeline in this book is so weird. The MC will be talking about something that I think is happening currently and them say something like, "Now, back at..." because we're actually somewhere completely different and now in the present? I can't even really explain it it just jumps so much and I do6nt remember ever reading a book that does this so much. It's kind of annoying, honestly.

Seriously. This is almost exactly like Gilmore Girls. Rachel's role changes a bit throughout. It's now a scene from Rory and Jess' relationship. It's so bizarre. I think I'd enjoy the book more if I didn't know the show so well. It can't be a coincidence, can it?

So. Sana is basically Rory from Gilmore Girls and Rachel is Paris? I wonder if GG was any actual inspiration for this story or if it's just coincidence? I'm really enjoying it, especially with all of the added diversity that GG really lacked, but it's definitely a little distracting every time something else shows up in the book that was also in the show.

"I assumed Kalyn's arrival signified the commencement of a coming-of-age romantic comedy. In truth, this is a murder mystery. Perhaps a tragedy. I wasn't wrong to think our lives a story. I was simply wrong about which gene we belong to.

These characters are insanely perfect and that's honestly a little annoying.

Really enjoying this one so far but I just feel like the dialogue is a little forced. It doesn't feel like teenagers talking. But otherwise it's a pretty strong start to the book!

So far this is a lot of fun. I really enjoy Jen Wilde's books and the subjects they tackle while also keeping it light and fun.
