That was such a great twist!! And I didn't see it coming at all. Love it.

I'm so frustrated. Nash is so mean to Lina, not grumpy, like full on a$$hole. Then a panic attack hits and he ends up on her doorstep, forces her to cuddle with him until he's better. I hate the manhandling & anger to full on needy. And it makes no sense that Lina is the only "cure" to his depression & anxiety. It doesn't work that way. And if it does, stop being such an a$$ to her all the time. So disappointing.

I'm enjoying this more than I thought I would but I am a sucker for the grumpy/sunshine trope. The characters feel younger than their 30s/40s though.

"If I were a horse, I'd let him ride me anywhere." Sounds worse out of context but I'm still laughing over here.

I might end up being the black sheep with this one. So far, it's just okay for me.

The feminist revenge fantasy book I've been waiting for. Absolutely loving this so far.

Honestly. I'm so bored and disappointed in this. But I'm almost done so I'm going to finish and hope something exciting happens.

Almost 100 pages in and I'm still not enjoying anything about this one.

I'm not sure I'm quite ready to read a book about an illness causing death and destruction but I love Brigid Kemmerer so I'm going for it!

I'm not very far into this but Goodreads describes this as charming and it has overwhelmingly good reviews but so far it's only about suicide, robbery, murder, drugs, alcohol, and difficult family relationships. I'm not sure I'm in the mood for this.

This is cute but the problem I'm having so far is that both of these characters seem too perfect and it's been so predictable. I'm not sure if I'm going to continue this one.

I'm not entirely loving the subway kissing scenes choreographed so Jane can try and remember girls she dated in the past. Still enjoying the book overall but I'm worried it's taking a turn for me...

This is so good. I didn't read the synopsis, I just saw it was Trish Doller's book and put it on my list, so I didn't know it was a book about a character dealing with losing her fiance. But I'm glad I didn't know because I wouldn't have wanted to be scared off. This is both sad and beautiful so far and I can't wait to read more.

This is very good so far. But I think it's about to get scary so I'm taking a break till daylight bc I'm a scaredy cat who won't be able to sleep. Which, based in the title, I think is exactly what the author wants.

I'm not a big fan of the mild love triangle here.

I'm not completely in love with this yet but any book that can spend several pages discussing the main characters love of the movie Speed will always have a special place in my heart.

I haven't read the author's other book but I was kind of under the assumption that this book was going to be funny. And it started out that way. But the it got pretty serious. I'm still reading it but it's a little slower because I was really hoping for something a little more lighthearted for the end of the year. That's my bad for not doing my research beforehand but this is not a book you'll fly through laughing.

Do a lot of people put american cheese slices on top of scrambled eggs? I would not have thought it was so popular but it's shown up in both books so far. Maybe it's the author's calling card.
