Still taking a break from Tolkien...good lord is it dense reading. And why does almost every sentence begin with so? On top of that, apparently all the people living during the first age were only allowed to have names starting with the letter T.

This story keeps getting better, though I question the way the author had his lead character just abandon his plans so easily without knowing a decisive outcome to the battle he watched.

I have to put this one to the side for a while. The writing style is archaic and so many sentences begin with the word NOW. Ugh...

50 pages in and I have no idea what I just read....

Please don't be as dry as the Silmarillion.... no really, please...

Worst event ever. The Book Em festival in Robeson Co. was a sad event. I don't think more than 200 people came through. First time I ever did an event that resulted in not a single sale. #NeverAgain

Had to give up on the heavy reading for a little. Nothing like some mindless firefights to take the mind away.

Heavy reading, not a lot of dialogue, but an interesting story.

Spotted this unique book the other day at the store. A little grim considering it revolves around Hell, but an intriguing read so far about a fallen angel wanting to go back to Heaven- for the right reasons.

Love the story, but I have to admit, I'm not a big fan of Ambrose's writing. It almost seems basic to me.

With only a handful of survivors today, and having just rewatched the HBO series and being a combat veteran of the 101st Airborne myself, I felt it only right to give this a read.

510 pages into this one and, while I enjoy the style and pacing, absolutely nothing interesting has happened except for a quick 20 page spot back around 185. The repetition of getting up, worrying about money, and doing the same- I mean the SAME- thing every day is boring my eyes.

It would be really cool if all 500 plus of you decided to follow me as well as being friends.. Cmon, what do you have to lose?

What's the deal with the page counts on this site? The book I am reading has over 700 pages in it but Goodreads is telling me there's only 500 something? Math isn't my strong suit, but....
