Christian Freed is on page 235 of 400 of Tombstone: The Earp Brothers, Doc Holliday, and the Vendetta Ride from Hell (Frontier Lawmen)
Very dry reading, but filled with a lot of interconnecting history. I do think the author suffers from having the urge to tell far too many backstories that really aren't that important- or interesting- in the build up.

Bounces around a lot and I'm not really keen on the author's style, but I love the added history detailing why Tombstone was important at the time of the shootout.

Going to shelve this one for a while. Not my style and outdated. I'm thinking I should have gotten to these 30 yrs ago....

Enjoying the story so far- enough twists and turns to keep me guessing.

This is the kind of caper that I've been looking for. Sort of reminds me of Disney's Treasure Planet from a while ago.

Washington was a horrible military leader. Period.

Something most people don't understand, Washington was a horrible tactical leader until the later stages of the Revolution. His time with the British Army was underwhelming and he lacked a keen grasp of tactics- albeit partly through the trials of having to create an army out of nothing.

A recent bad review has me wondering. Do books need warning labels? I write military style fantasy and scifi- makes sense coming from a combat vet- but was dinged for the level of perceived violence in the beginning of Dreams of Winter. I say perceived because it is intoned, but not shown. What say you? Warning labels or no?
